"Stepping into this Tibetan-style B&B for the first time, I was immediately blown away! The rustic ******* architecture creates an incredible atmosphere. Waking up and opening the window, you're greeted with panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, villages, and a clear blue sky – the scenery is absolutely stunning. The viewing location is simply perfect. In the evenings, gathering around the fireplace, chatting and having a drink with the owner while listening to music was incredibly comforting and cured all my fatigue. It was truly relaxing, I'll definitely be back!"

"We stayed for two nights and the view from the room is stunning. The tibetan-styled decoration is amazing and makes all the difference, but there were also a few downsides which I have to mention.
- For someone that does not speak Chinese, it is very hard to find. So we will write here how we did: from Tagong we took a shared vehicle to Bamei. From there, we took another shared vechicle to Danba, and from Danba, there are rural shared vehicles that will take you to Jiaju. I attach the image of the road sign where you need to get off. There is an entry fee to Jiaju town.
- Regarding this rural vehicle, comes the biggest disappointment of our stay, as we asked the owner of the hotel to call a vehicle for us (there is no other way to leave) and he replied “you can look for yourself and if you cannot find one, I will help you”… without a Chinese phone number and without speaking Chinese, it is impossible to call a local driver. So we mentioned this, and he called one driver. When we asked how much we should pay, he say 50 yuan for two people, same as he told us to pay on the way here, but his wife was there and got very angry at him because the real price was 15 yuan per person, and he was part of the rip off.
The lady was very friendly and helpful, on the other side, so we want to thank her for her help as she tried to help us.
Despite this, we still reccommend you to come as it is a beautiful place and there are walking paths that you can use to walk everywhere in town.
The shared toilet was not a problem, hot water works well."

"This B&B is right at the entrance to the scenic area, and the hygiene is excellent. You can look up at the entire ******* village from your window. The hostess is so kind, enthusiastic, and incredibly efficient. What's even better is that she's also an experienced traveler herself, and she gave us so many great itinerary suggestions. She really gave us the courage to overcome altitude sickness and embrace the stunning beauty of the Great Northwest! After checking out, we adjusted our route based on her insider tips, and our trip was incredibly fulfilling. It truly showed us why Western Sichuan is called a 'must-drive destination in this lifetime' and opened up a whole new world for us. Hope we meet again someday, but even if we don't, I wish her a life full of joy and adventure! 🥰🥰🥰"

Since it is the off-season and there is only our family there, he said the place is empty anyway. "Two years ago, I passed by Jiaju ******* Village and regretted not staying overnight. 🤭 This time, my trip to Western Sichuan led me to choose the Light and Forest Cliff Hotel, and it was absolutely rewarding! A special thanks to the lovely ladies at the front desk for their thoughtful service. The room was clean and bright. Since we arrived a bit late that day, the front desk had already turned on the air conditioning for us, which was such a warm gesture for our tired group after a long journey. 👍 The hotel is perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the great environment; the pictures speak for themselves! Early in the morning, the misty clouds make for fantastic photo opportunities. The restaurant's dishes were also quite good. I rarely write reviews, but I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers."

"The location of the B&B is very close to the gate of the scenic area, but it is very quiet at night. The owner is warm and considerate, and the whole environment is very clean and tidy. Both the public area and the room are very comfortable. There are two viewing platforms on the roof of the B&B. The viewing angle and location are great! The breakfast is even richer and you can't finish it at all! There are side dishes, staple foods, eggs, and butter tea. The valley of the entire scenic area is very large, and there are many ******* houses~ and they are all very beautiful. You can stay and slowly feel the slow pace of life. It's a great travel experience (^_^)"

"The service was wonderful, the location couldn’t be better, and the view from our river-side room was absolutely breathtaking. There were a couple of oddities—like having to ask for soap and no towels provided (only a bunch of paper towels and condoms were available, which was confusing). However, the hotel turned out to be great despite my initial reservations.
A few nice surprises made up for it: the packed breakfast and the cute keyring at checkout was a thoughtful touch. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Plus, it was easy to arrange shared onward transport right outside the hotel."

Guest UserTaking advantage of the fewer crowds before the May Day holiday, we planned our trip to Zhonglu ******* Village and found this guesthouse to be incredibly comfortable. We arrived from Chengdu in the evening, and the owner was very welcoming and arranged our accommodations perfectly. The third floor of the guesthouse has a spacious viewing platform where you can enjoy a whole expanse of starry sky all to yourself; the fourth floor faces Mount Mordo directly, offering a superb view! We were well taken care of as a group of two; the owner proactively asked about our needs and even recommended we try the local butter tea at breakfast. TingguliAfter staying here for so long, this is the first B&B that is very nice from the environment to the service and the old stick. The owner will take care of the time to come to the store in advance and will also introduce local customs and attractions. The room is also very quiet and the breakfast is nice.

I had the most amazing stay during my time in China! Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed with blessings from the grandmother and a cup of fresh milk. They even upgraded my room without me asking.
Since I had limited time in town, I asked the host to guide me—and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of my entire trip. He brought me to stunning scenic spots, temples, and towers, and we shared an unforgettable dinner. The entire family was incredibly kind and made sure I felt at home every moment.
The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The location is perfect—close to the bus station and surrounded by great restaurants. Don’t miss the chance to join the locals dancing in the square nearby!
I couldn’t recommend this place more. Truly an experience to remember.

We stayed with friends at this wonderful hotel and were satisfied! The rooms are cozy, clean, there is a stunning view of nature around, and the price is very pleasant. The interior of the hotel is decorated in a traditional style, which allows you to feel immersed in the local culture. In addition, the hosts are an incredibly friendly family that creates a truly homely atmosphere. They are very nice, cook delicious food and apples grow in their garden, which they treat the guests with!
The owners are also very responsive - when I forgot the cape, they brought it to me in Danba, while again treating me to delicious fruits. Special thanks for the help with transportation and willingness to help with any questions that arise! If I have the opportunity to return to the neighborhood, I will choose this hotel!

This small yard is very comfortable, open the window is the green mountain, the small courtyard is full of flowers! The boss is good! Thanks to the boss who has never seen such a good person. The owners are kind and hospitable. We arrived at the foot of the mountain after dark, and not being familiar with the roads, we were afraid to walk on the mountain paths. We called the owners, and they came down the mountain to drive us to the hotel. The next day, they even offered to drive our car down for us again. We are so grateful! The entire guesthouse is clean and tidy, and the rooftop terrace offers a fantastic view.

This B&B was my favorite during my trip to western Sichuan. Every detail was meticulously appointed, the bedding was comfortable, and the breakfast and dinner were fantastic! The owner and his family were not only warm and welcoming, but also seasoned travelers, offering us first-time visitors to western Sichuan plenty of excellent advice. The owner and his wife especially enjoyed drinking tea and reading, which perfectly matched the B&B's name!

We had a lovely time at Ji Ye Valley hostel. The owner is a very kind and generous lady who went out of her way to help us. The food was great- lots of lovely fresh vegetables and fruits that you could pick from the garden as well as hot pot with all the trimmings. The owner gave us bags of apples and figs to take with us on our journey to Kangding, and she kindly booked the bus ticket for us in advance. We really appreciated her hospitality and patience with our lack of Chinese skills - we had to do a lot of translating on our phones. Aside from that we really enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden as well as walking the local paths up the mountain - through the old oak forests and past the ancient towers. A great experience and we really want to thank the owner for all her help and kindness.

The butler upgraded us to a loft room with a bathtub. It's a Tibetan-style building, and the interior decor also has a ******* flair. You can step directly from the second floor onto a huge outdoor terrace to enjoy the views. The room was very comfortable, the service was excellent, and the owner was incredibly welcoming. The scenery of the ******* village is beautiful, and the food was delicious. This was the best place to stay during our entire trip through Western Sichuan with no altitude sickness. Highly recommended!

We had the most pleasant stay here. The guesthouse was a little hard to find in the dark, so the owner came outside to the parking to pick us up and even carried my bag. He was very welcoming, considerate and helpful during our stay. We had everything we needed, the room was beautifully decorated and clean. The provided traditional breakfast was outstanding (corn bread, rice porridge, cooked eggplant, cucumber salad and sour cabbage)! Most of the ingredients come fresh out of the garden. There is also a menu with many other delicious dishes that you can order for lunch and dinner. When we left, the owner organized the transport for us back to Danba and took us to the ”station”. We highly recommend staying in this wonderful guesthouse and gorgeous little town Jiaju!
