"Just had a quick transit stay near Fuzhou Airport, and it was awesome! The hotel is a great deal—plus, they surprised me with complementary airport pickup and drop-off, which was super handy. There are tons of restaurants within 500m walking distance, so you’re covered from breakfast to midnight supper. Big shoutout to the front desk crew—木子, 可可, and 小六—they were really friendly and helpful. If you’re stuck for a transit flight in Fuzhou overnight, definitely book this place!"

"It was my second time staying in this hotel. They have maintained the excellent standard. Prior to my arrival, I advised them that I don’t eat fruits except for dragon fruit. The dragon fruit was prepared. In my stay, the staff members were quite helpful. They recommended the good place to eat and also helped me to get a taxi as my Alipay didn’t work for transport. It was a pleasant stay."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lakeside! The location is ideal, with the West Lake trail right at the doorstep. Everything you need is conveniently within walking distance. The hotel's cleanliness is exceptional, ensuring a very comfortable experience. The breakfast was delightful, offering a wide range from traditional continental options to local delicacies. "The room was clean and spacious and very enjoyable to be in for 4 nights. The service in this hotel is commendable and they really go the extra mile. First of all, there were issues with the first two rooms I was assigned. By the second room, I passed a comment “forget it, I’m lazy to request for a new room again” and the concierge staff with me offered to go down and get me another room. I didn’t get his name but I appreciate it and I got to have a comfortable stay thanks to him. The other incident involved my Taobao return package which was divided into two parts and only one package reached the seller. I had already left China by then and was severely limited in trying to resolve the issue myself. I emailed the hotel for assistance, and am very grateful to Wilson Ye from Concierge who spent a few days following up with the platform and courier. Would strongly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again if I ever visit Fuzhou."

"Booked an 5 day stay for an Business Trip. Location of hotel is good. There are a small shopping mall directly downstairs with some restaurants. (including starbucks and Mcdonalds) Most popular tourists and large shopping malls in the area are accessible via an short taxi trip. between 5-15 mins depending where you go. Overall hotel is very clean. Now for all the downside, (for reference I'm here during December with weather around 18 degrees during the day and 12-14 degrees during the night), if you like to control your own room temperature for your own comfort, do NOT book this hotel. The problem here is that they have an climate control in the room, however, it does not actually control any room temperature as I had later found out. Each day the hotel was pumping in heating through the centralised air condition. I complained that it was getting far too ”warm” for me and it was getting uncomfortable as the room felt stuffy and was giving me headaches, As there was no windows that you can open, there was no way to get ”fresh air” feeling into the room. It was also affecting my sleep during the night, this was an VERY unpleasant feeling. I tried to speak to the staff about this problem and their simple reply was basically ”nothing we can do” not even an attempt to offer an solution and that the climate control inside the room does NOT in fact control the temperature for the rooms! Another issue was I switched on the DND (do not disturb button) as I did not needed any room cleaning during the first night of stay, I came back to find room was cleaned and items was moved around. Now admittedly it's nice to come back to an tidied room, however I did not expect anyone to come in even though I switched the DND switch on. On the third day the same thing happen however this time I was inside the room working. Even though the DND button was switched on, staff was still knocking on doors and coming in to check if I needed room cleaning. After I rejected I was receiving calls to confirm I didn't need room cleaning, now all this is probably an good service for other people but for me it was very irritating as it kept interrupting me during an important work conference call. The final thing that I found to be quite lacking considering this is ”Hilton” was when I checked out, the staff asked if I needed an receipt/invoice for my stay, in which I requested yes, as I needed to put it to office accounts department for reimbursement purposes. They actually told me they could not print out any invoices for my stay. I needed to go and do that myself on Trip, which was fine, I thought I can do that myself, however because I have used room service etc I cannot get this on ”Trip”'s website. It just felt the whole experience was so poor coming from the ”Hilton” group. 100% the worst stay I have had."

"Located a short walking distance from Metro Line 1 Shudou station, this hotel has everything needed for a great stay for first timers in Fuzhou (central and safe location with local food options; compact but well designed and furnished rooms with comfortable beds; delicious breakfast buffet with proactive and efficient restaurant staff; and good facilities including laundry room, tea shops and tuina massage centre within the compound). During our stay, we needed urgent help to manage a situation and the staff on duty (小邓) went above and beyond to sort things out and we can’t be more grateful to him and the front desk staff. Thank you again. Would definitely come back again in the future!"

"Clean and modern, nicely located upon the beautiful sea shore only a few miles away from the airport, staff is helpful and nice, but on the dark side - amenities are quite limited unlike what you expect in 5 stars (things like shower gel and etc.), there's nothing in mini bar, room service menu is very short and the service works only during the normal hours, breakfast is quite poor for 5 stars and so on. Even getting a morning code or additional blanket could be a problem (unsolvable in our case), and some of the venues inside the hotel are just closed. So, generally - do not expect a real 5 stars here, it is not."

"While the location is decent and the staff is helpful, the interior of the hotel is old and run down. The central air condition is so loud that sleep remains a wishful dream. The furniture in the room and the restaurant don't match the ambition of a Westin Hotel. The breakfast was dull at best. "

"我很很很喜欢！ i’m from america, and i traveled to fuzhou alone. i really loved this hotel and when i come back to fuzhou i’m definitely going to stay here again the breakfast is super super good and the room is more than comfortable. i’m very satisfied with my stay, and the price is so good, honestly i’m always on a tight budget and i wasn’t expending to like this hotel so much! the pictures are from the hotel view & the breakfast the location is great too, can just walk to the subway station :) 10/10"
