"This was my first time in Fudi, and I chose this hotel on Trip.com. The location turned out to be incredibly convenient – not only was it easy to find, but I relied on the subway for all my transportation during my stay, which was super handy. On the day of check-in, I wasn't completely satisfied with the room and the air conditioning system. I reported it to the front desk, and they responded immediately and handled the situation exceptionally well. I was very pleased with their quick action. The next day, the hotel even called to follow up on my stay. The entire experience felt thoughtful and attentive, always putting the guest first. This level of excellent customer service perfectly demonstrated what 'a home away from home' truly means. It was a fantastic experience, and I'm grateful to the hotel."

Hotel near Dongjiekou Shopping Center,Fuzhou
The Shuxiang Wenru Hotel is located at No. 50 Wenru Lane, the heart of Fuzhou's Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, occupying a prime and unparalleled location within the scenic area. Nestled amidst a cluster of well-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty ancient houses, the hotel opens directly onto cobblestone lanes, with Nanhou Street, former residences of notable figures, and unique cultural and creative shops just a short walk away, offering exceptional convenience for sightseeing, shopping, and photo opportunities. Sheltered from the bustle of the streets, the hotel's serene courtyard provides a tranquil retreat—guests can step out to enjoy the lively local atmosphere and return to the peaceful embrace of the courtyard, making it the ideal choice for an immersive stay in Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. 。 Originally the mansion of Chen Maohou, a Qing Dynasty imperial scholar, the hotel carries over 200 years of cultural heritage. The entire compound retains the original layout of Min-style ancient architecture, complete with saddle-shaped walls, carved wooden beams, courtyard water features, and winding corridors with floral halls. Every brick and tile reflects the scholarly legacy of the Luo-Chen family. The hotel embraces an elegant neo-Chinese design, with Fujian’s intangible cultural heritage—exquisite bodiless lacquerware—as the central aesthetic theme, seamlessly blending traditional Chinese elements throughout the space. Handcrafted lacquer decorations, classical calligraphy and paintings, and intricately carved wooden window frames adorn the guest rooms and public areas, exuding warmth and refinement. Free from excessive ornamentation, the design recreates the understated elegance of ancient literati residences, with every corner embodying Eastern aesthetics—each snapshot captures the essence of Chinese cultural ambiance. The hotel offers a diverse range of room types to suit various travelers, including scenic deluxe rooms, courtyard golden hot spring suites, family suites, and standalone courtyard villas. Each room honors the historical architecture’s integrity, preserving the beauty of original wooden structures while incorporating modern comforts, striking a perfect balance between classical charm and contemporary convenience. The standalone courtyard hot spring rooms are a standout feature, allowing guests to indulge in private hot springs without leaving their quarters, offering a complete Fuzhou cultural retreat within a traditional Chinese courtyard. Dining is a highlight of the hotel, featuring a Michelin one-star Fujian cuisine restaurant dedicated to authentic Fuzhou flavors. Using locally sourced fresh ingredients, the restaurant’s star chefs craft distinctive Fujian delicacies, enabling guests to savor Michelin-level dishes without stepping outside the ancient compound—a one-stop immersion into Fuzhou’s culinary culture. Beyond dining, the hotel offers diverse cultural experiences, including Hanfu rentals for children and adults, and treasure-hunt activities for families, catering to couples, family trips, and cultural or business travelers. Staying here allows guests to delve into the millennia-old history of Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, appreciate the artistry of bodiless lacquerware, experience genuine Chinese courtyard living, and relish Michelin-starred cuisine—unlocking a seamless blend of dining, accommodation, and exploration in Fuzhou’s cultural heartland.

"Staying with my child in the Shuxiang Wenru parent-child room exceeded all expectations! The location is tucked away inside the ancient houses of Wenrufang in Sanfang Qixiang, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. The traditional Chinese courtyard vibe is fantastic, and it's super convenient for exploring the alleys and lanes. The cleanliness deserves a special shout-out! The room was meticulously cleaned; no water stains or odors in the corners or bathroom. The bedding was clean and soft, and impressively, for an old architectural style, there was no musty smell. It gave me great peace of mind traveling with a child. The ambiance is typical of a new Chinese style within a traditional Minnan ancient house. The courtyard is elegant and serene, with wooden windows and lacquered art摆件 (decorations) that give it a scholarly feel. It’s quiet and not noisy, ensuring an undisturbed night's rest. The parent-child facilities are very thoughtful. They provided special toiletries for children, and the room was spacious with comfortable beds, catering to all the needs of families traveling with kids. The courtyard also offers Hanfu experiences and parent-child treasure hunts, which my child absolutely loved. The service was warm and attentive. The staff responded promptly, patiently addressing all our requests and communicating kindly and helpfully. Breakfast was a delightful surprise! There was a rich variety, catering to both adults and children, including many local Fuzhou snacks. The ingredients were fresh and light, perfect for children. Dining in the ancient courtyard setting truly amplified the experience. This is an excellent choice for a short family trip to Fuzhou. Next time we visit Sanfang Qixiang with our child, we'll definitely choose this place again!"

"The room was clean and tidy, and the sheets and towels were all in good condition. The soundproofing was excellent, as the hotel upgraded us to a higher floor room, so we couldn't hear any outside noise. The location is super convenient, really close to the subway station and a food street, which was a big plus! The hotel staff were also very helpful and patient in explaining things. "Honestly, they could just call it Fairfield. There are so many alternatives at this price point, and many are even more comfortable. It's newly opened, and the room had a strong renovation smell (sensitive people beware). The promotional pictures show bathrobes, but there weren't any in the room (not sure if they forgot to put them in or what). The lamps on both sides of the bed didn't work (I thought they were decorative, but they had switches – they just didn't light up). The mattress was incredibly hard! An hour after checking in, the power suddenly went out for a bit, and then the TV stopped working properly. I called the front desk, and they said they'd send housekeeping to check it out (but no one came, even by the time I checked out the next day). The minibar fridge wasn't cooling either. I won't be choosing Fairfield again."

"I was planning to leave Fuzhou, but I ended up booking this hotel at the last minute. It's super close to the train station; you just cross the street from the station and you'll see its tall building. The price was 298 per night, without breakfast. I honestly didn't have high expectations for a hotel near a train station and just planned to stay one night and leave. I booked a round-bed room, and when I opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and elegantly designed it was, complete with a bathtub. The bathroom was larger than typical guest rooms and felt quite luxurious. There was also a beautiful crystal chandelier in the room. Apparently, each of their rooms has a unique theme, which is quite interesting. My friend booked a room for the same price, possibly on the fourth floor, which had a spacious private courtyard with chairs and tables, but no bathtub. Each room type definitely has its own perks. My room was located at the very end of the corridor. The main drawback was that the water wasn't hot enough. I mentioned it to the staff, and they told me I had to turn on all three taps simultaneously and let the water run for a long time before it would get hot. This felt like a real waste of water."

This Atour hotel was much better than the ones I stayed at in Wuxi and Shanghai over the past two years. Those previous experiences really put me off – finding dead cockroaches, rock-hard beds, uncomfortable pillows, smoky rooms, noisy fridges and AC units, you name it. After that, I actually avoided Atour for all my business trips. This time, I was in a rush with my booking, so I decided to give them another shot, and thankfully, none of those issues I mentioned earlier were present. I'd definitely consider staying here again in the future. Plus, right outside the hotel, there's a great little coffee shop and a restaurant I've been to before. A 10-minute walk also gets you to some local breakfast spots, small eateries, and even teahouses for meetings, which is incredibly convenient.

Pretty hotel in pretty old ancient buildings. Lots of high curbs in the hotel. The staffs were very helpful with our luggage. Every corner of the hotel looks pretty and photogenic. The welcome tea is nice! The hotel lobby with wooden high ceiling is so impressive and pretty. The tea rooms that we can choose to have our breakfast are pretty and aircon cooling too. The hotel room looks so much better than the pictures in their booking site. High ceiling, warm note and comes with a comfortable soothing wooden smell. The bathroom comes with ancient look door with wooden planks and in btw can be look through, but overall looks new and clean. Amazed by the bidet toilet in the ancient wooden setting. Its a good mix of modern and ancient in the most appropriate way. We almost didn't feel like leaving the hotel. Bathtub outside looks so pretty as well, especially on rainy days and early mornings, but we were worried about the mosquitos. The hotel is 1 minute away from the main shopping/touristy street, and you can get all the teas and gifts from there. Note that the hotel is located far from the main road. Nearest road side for dropoff and boarding is at the Starbucks, which sometimes seems far when you are tired and seems near when you leave the hotel for the day. About 8 mins walk away i think. There are little shops along the way as well. And the street looks super cool at night with all the lanterns along the way. As mentioned earlier, the hotel staffs gladly helped you with your luggage to the boarding point. Overall great experience! Love it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Stay – One of the Best in Fujian This is truly one of the best 4* hotels in Fujian, not just in Fuzhou. This was our third stay, and we continue to be impressed. 🛏 Room Comfort & Cleanliness The room was very spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. We stayed on the 5th floor, and our room had a balcony overlooking the garden of the breakfast restaurant, which was a lovely view. Despite the central location, the room was very quiet — we could not hear any street noise at all. 🤝 Service The hotel staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. We especially appreciated that they allowed us to store our luggage securely for a week while we traveled to Wuyishan and Xiapu. 🧴 Amenities Toiletries were well supplied and replenished adequately. Overall room facilities meet 4-star standards. 📍 Location & Connectivity The location is excellent and extremely convenient: 1) McDonald’s and Yonghui Supermarket (永辉超市) are right beside the hotel. 2) Directly opposite is the large shopping mall 五四印象, offering numerous dining options (including a Japanese restaurant), optical shops, beauty and hair salons, and many fashion retail stores for both men and women. 3) It is only a 10-minute ride to Fuzhou Railway Station, making it very convenient to travel to other cities in Fujian and even neighboring Zhejiang. 💰 Value for Money The room rates are very reasonable for the comfort, service, and convenience offered. Excellent value overall. 🙏Areas for Improvement 1) The breakfast buffet has a limited selection and could offer more variety. 2) The metal fence on the balcony is rusting and would benefit from repainting or replacement. 🌈Overall A highly recommended 4-star hotel with excellent comfort, service, and strategic location. We will definitely return again.

I arrived at the hotel from Gutian around 6 PM, tired, dusty, and hot from the journey, eager to check in and rest. It was peak dinner time, and the parking lot was full. I was a bit annoyed and almost considered driving off to find another hotel, but the parking attendant told me to pull over, leave my number, and they'd call me as soon as a spot opened up. That positive start set the tone for a smooth experience. Once I parked, I went to the lobby and asked the front desk to see a room. The young man at the front desk was very efficient and took me upstairs. The room was quite small, but since I had already parked and brought the car, I decided to make do and planned to switch hotels the next day. After checking in, I went to check out the restaurant, and that's where the pleasant surprise came: Ju Chun Yuan is the original creator of 'Buddha Jumps Over the Wall' (Fotiaoqiang). I decided I'd definitely try it properly tomorrow. The next day, I decided to extend my stay by another day instead of switching hotels. The reason was its excellent location in a bustling area, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. Although the room was small and the facilities basic, I wasn't planning on a resort-style vacation anyway. Plus, the hotel staff provided excellent, professional service, which was a significant factor in my decision to stay. And, of course, I wanted to have Fotiaoqiang at the restaurant that evening. The Fotiaoqiang at Ju Chun Yuan restaurant was very satisfying, but the service staff wasn't professional enough. When I asked about ingredients, only the manager or supervisor could tell me; the other staff said they had to ask a supervisor. The restaurant manager seemed to lack patience. Summary: 1. Excellent location. 2. Good service from guest rooms, front desk, and parking staff. 3. Guest room hardware is basic and needs renovation. 4. Ju Chun Yuan restaurant is a reputable old brand and highly recommended, but the manager seemed jaded, and the service staff appeared to be interns unfamiliar with their duties.

Facilities: The hotel facilities are excellent. Unlike other places I've stayed in Fujian, this one doesn't use disposable towels. There's a fridge in the room with complimentary drinks. Hygiene: The bed linens, duvet covers, and towels were all spotless, and there were no stains on the walls or floor. Environment: The environment is beautiful and has an ancient charm, with picturesque views at every turn. Service: The front desk staff was incredibly thoughtful. After knowing our arrival time, they turned on the air conditioning for us in advance. Seeing that there were two of us and we had a dog, they even upgraded us to a larger room for free. The breakfast was also very rich and delicious. They are very dog-friendly too, with poop bags hanging on the walls. It was truly a wonderful experience!

This hotel is the closest to Longwangtou Beach. My room was on the 16th floor with a fantastic sea view, perfect for watching the sunrise and then going back to sleep. The room was recently renovated this year, so it feels newer than the Jin Yong Ya Ge hotel, and the toilet and shower are separate. Getting in and out with a car was convenient as they registered my license plate. There are many food stalls along Longfeng East Road and Xihang Road nearby, which are lively at night. I recommend 'Wula Buhuan' (a spicy food stall) and 'Pingtan Haiwei' (a seafood stall). The downsides are that breakfast was quite average, not as good as Ya Ge's, and I don't recall seeing a gym.

🌊 Great Service and Beach Location, But a Few Things to Know! We had a mixed but overall good experience here, mostly thanks to the wonderful staff. The Positives & The Room ✨ The service here is genuinely good! We originally booked a standard Twin room, but the hotel kindly upgraded us to a Family room. The upgraded room was absolutely awesome—very big, comfortable, and perfectly clean. Even though the hotel building itself feels a little bit old and dated, the spacious room really made up for it. Location & Beach 🏖️ The hotel is located right by the sea, which is beautiful. There are a few cafes right on the beach, though keep in mind their menus are quite limited. Also, unless you are visiting during the peak hot summer season, you won't be able to swim in the ocean because of the weather. The Downsides: Pool & Noise 🚧 Since we couldn't swim in the sea, we were hoping to use the pool, but unfortunately, the swimming pool was closed. I highly recommend contacting the hotel to check if the pool is operating before you book! The biggest issue during our stay, however, was the noise. There was active construction going on, and they were constantly fixing the roof next door. It was quite noisy and definitely disrupted the peaceful beach vibe. Bottom Line: A great beachfront location with excellent service and spacious rooms, but definitely double-check the pool and construction status before your trip!
