"Exceeded expectations! For a B&B priced over 400, the room was incredibly spacious with a double sofa and a large TV. It also had a big balcony with a lounge chair, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a bathroom with a separate wet and dry area. The air conditioning was powerful, soundproofing was excellent, and the blackout curtains worked very well. They even provided bathrobes and a humidifier.
The owner was also very hospitable, taking us to crack walnuts, helping with our luggage, and checking in on us. The colorful forests of Heishui are stunning and would be even more beautiful with good weather.
My only minor complaints would be that the hot water pressure was a bit low, and the location isn't as deep into the colorful forest area as it could be. If it were closer to the core colorful forest zone, the window view might be like a painting.
Still, highly recommended. This was the most satisfying hotel of our trip."

"The accommodation wasn't bad, but we arrived at night and the entrance was dark with all the lights off, which made it a bit hard to find. The owner, an auntie, and her sister were very kind and helpful, carrying our luggage upstairs as there's no elevator. Our room had an en-suite bathroom, but the toilet was a squat type, not a Western-style one—I didn't notice when booking! 🥹 The air conditioning in the room doubles as a heater, but it was still a bit chilly at night because the temperature was below freezing. This hotel is very close to the national park, just a 2-minute drive away."

"As its name suggests, the restaurant has a great environment. The courtyard is filled with walnut trees, as well as plum and pear trees, where you can pick and eat as much as you like. The kids were especially happy. The owner was very welcoming and even gave us two bags of walnuts to take with us when we left. The rooms are also spacious, perfect for a barbecue in the evening – very relaxing!"

"This hotel has the best service ever. The staffs are so alert with the complaint and quickly did the best to solve it. The heater in my room was not functioning then they gave us free room upgrade as soon as possible. They were so nice and friendly to my whole family. They even asked us to try Hanfu for free and dressed my kids up. Overall they are the best!

"This guesthouse is an absolute gem! The room's decor and amenities are meticulously chosen and of high quality. The owners are also incredibly kind and hardworking, always busy making sure everything is perfect, clearly a very industrious family.
Our room was a scenic one. After a tiring day of exploring, returning to the room and opening the door to find warm lighting and lovely decorations was incredibly comforting and allowed us to completely relax. It truly felt like being at home.
The next morning, the scenery was even more breathtaking. We were surrounded by colorful forests on all sides, feeling as if we were living right in the heart of the mountains. Our child drew pictures of snow-capped mountains and colorful trees in the morning, while we cozied up on the sofa listening to music, with the sunlight streaming in, gazing at the distant snow peaks and the vibrant autumn foliage nearby. It was such a peaceful and incredibly therapeutic moment.
This hotel was a delightful surprise. I will definitely choose to stay here again with my family and friends next time. A truly excellent experience."

1️⃣ The hostess is incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful, reminding us of all the little details.
2️⃣ The twin beds are huge, easily accommodating two people, and the room comes with a humidifier with a very clean water tank (a lifesaver for allergy sufferers like me).
3️⃣ Even with just an AC and an electric blanket, it was incredibly warm. No worries about catching a cold. For someone like me who can't stand direct AC wind, I just set it to the lowest fan speed and still felt perfectly cozy. The bathroom's heated fan (Yuba) was also very powerful.
4️⃣ We had dinner at the hotel, and the hotpot dipping sauce was absolutely delicious! 😋 Plus, the vegetables had a subtle sweetness (first time ever experiencing that, and I loved it!). The whole set meal was more than enough for two people.
5️⃣ The rooms are equipped with disposable toilet seat covers, towels, and more – a dream come true for germaphobes!
6️⃣ The charging station isn't in the hotel's parking lot, but it's very close, just a 2-minute walk away.
7️⃣ It's about a 5-minute drive to the Dagu Glacier scenic area, making it perfect for those traveling by car.

"This is my first review, and it's completely honest. This is the best hotel I've stayed at during my travels here. The front desk lady was incredibly enthusiastic; whenever I had a problem, I liked to go to her, and she always helped. It was a very satisfying stay. The lobby is spacious, the environment is great, the front desk service is excellent, and check-in was fast. The room facilities are complete, the bed is very comfortable, and the room has smart controls. They even offered a free late check-out, which was really nice. It's a fantastic hotel. They also gave a free bottle of mineral water upon check-in. The room is spacious, well-lit, bright, and fully equipped. The front desk service is exceptional, and breakfast is also great. There's free parking, and it's very convenient for getting around. Highly recommend!"

First and foremost, the room is clean and tidy, with excellent privacy, making for a great stay experience! The hotel space is very large, and the environment and atmosphere are fantastic. The whole process was truly comfortable and satisfying. The food was delicious and very satisfying, with fresh ingredients, so you can eat with confidence. I highly recommend all the signature dishes! As always, the food was tasty and the portions were generous. I've already recommended it to my friends!"

GGuest UserAfter visiting Dagu Glacier with friends, I opened Ctrip and saw this Gar Manor B&B. It is close to the scenic area, but the road up the mountain is a bit tortuous, a winding mountain road. Fortunately, the road surface is all asphalt and relatively spacious, not as difficult to drive as imagined. Although it is the rainy season these days, I didn’t expect the clouds in the mountains to be very beautiful, so it was not a wasted trip. The hygiene in the hotel can be said to be very attentive, and even those who are a little bit obsessed with cleanliness can be satisfied. Then the most impressive thing is the service of the housekeepers. They were very proactive in receiving us, and even their enthusiasm made us a little embarrassed. I heard that Heishui will be more beautiful in the golden autumn season, and I will come here to stay and experience it then.

GGuest User#Location & Transportation The hotel is located on the road to Dagu Glacier, about 4 kilometers away, a ten-minute drive. It's very close, and right opposite the **Gou RV Camping Area. We stayed during the off-season, so the scenic area was deserted, and the view from the hotel window was excellent, with a wide field of vision. #Service We arrived around 5 or 6 pm, and before we even parked, the owner came out to direct us and help with our luggage – very welcoming! Since it was the off-season, there weren't many guests, and the owner let us choose our room's orientation ourselves, which was very thoughtful. #Breakfast The next morning, the owner's wife got up early to cook breakfast: freshly made white porridge in a pressure cooker…and very fragrant steamed buns (I, a southerner, ate two!). The porridge and buns were served with stir-fried cabbage and chili peppers, all freshly prepared by the owner's wife – delicious, clean, and simple, but very satisfying! #Restaurant We originally wanted to eat ******* food that evening, but there were really no shops or restaurants nearby, so we were too lazy to go anywhere else and just ate the owner's homemade yak meat hot pot at our accommodation. It was absolutely delicious! So fresh! The cuts of beef in the hot pot were also excellent! The side mushrooms were also very good! The 128 RMB set meal for two people was far too much for us. We had a 188 RMB set meal near Bipenggou last night, and the ingredients weren't as good. (I suggest the owner mention beforehand that there's an extra charge for rice and tableware. This way, customers will feel more comfortable when paying the bill and won't feel there's a hidden extra cost. After all, the soup was really delicious, and we shouldn't let a few RMB affect our evaluation.) Finally, one issue: the hotel was probably just renovated in October or November of 2025. You can still see traces of the renovation on the exterior and in the lobby. Also, given the cold weather, I hope the owner will open the windows more often to ventilate the rooms, as the renovation smell is still noticeable. Don't keep the windows closed and stuffy just because it's cold. In short, the hotel is newly renovated, and although there are some flaws, the owners are very warm and honest (the owner's Tibetan-accented Mandarin was really cute when chatting with us, hahaha). The food is also made with high-quality ingredients and is very delicious! The hotel's location is also excellent; its business will definitely be booming in the future!

SSerene MethiasHeshui is the nearest town 4km to Dagu Glacier. People here sleep very early. We reached the hotel around 7pm & everywhere is darkness & only 1 restaurant is open for dinner. Hotel is new with modern design. Booked a room with hot spring tub, so that we can relax after dinner. Unfortunately the staff told us not to use it as the hot water is bit warm, better to take a shower & sleep early. There’s a projector instead of a TV. We have to login as member then we can watch the local channel. Again we are disappointed that we can only select the free old drama to watch till we are tired & fall asleep.

The facilities are modern and thoughtfully designed, exuding a high-end feel. The cleanliness is impeccable; it's the tidiest B&B I've ever stayed in. The butler service is meticulous and heartwarming. As a 'Golden Panda Certified B&B,' the public spaces are incredibly rich, with a café, book bar, and photography studio that are both relaxing and engaging. The hundred-year-old walnut tree within adds so much character. It's only 6km from Dagu Glacier, a few minutes' drive, and about 10-odd kilometers to San'ao Snow Mountain. The owner can also help purchase discounted scenic area tickets. Life in the county is convenient, making it perfectly suited for both self-driving tours and leisurely trips. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic!

SShixiaofeiya111Gar Manor is definitely a treasure hotel in western Sichuan! ! Whether it's the Dagu Glacier in Heishui or the Siguniang Mountain in Xiaojin! ! It's no exaggeration to say that from the moment I checked in, I was in ”vacation mode.” I was completely amazed when I opened the door to the room. The Dyson hair dryer, the Delonghi kettle...everything was very thoughtfully designed. Gar Manor in Siguniang Mountain has floor-to-ceiling windows facing Jiajin Lake. The emerald green water reflects the snow-capped mountains and forests. You can watch the ”Western Sichuan Painting Scroll” while lying in bed. What a magical perspective! In addition, travel is also very convenient. You don't have to rush to go to Dagu Glacier and Siguniang Mountain. It is very suitable for family or couples to travel. Gar Manor's service is even more needless to say. It comes with butler service when you check in. Any needs are met, and the staff are also very enthusiastic! In short, it's really worth it.

GGuest UserFar mountain hotel is a family runner hotel, we have to wait for checking in about 30 mins. But the hotel owner was nice and well taking care us. The room was a little antique style but nice and spacious, the only comments is it was too cold for toilet and bathroom during winter. There was a heater controller at the ceiling but it was too hot. 2 bottles of water were provided. No breakfast was offering in the hotel. Overall us ok because we just stayed for a night before our trip to Bipengou. Location is closed to base of Bipengou. Great value for money.

NnalzanarmiThis place is a one of a kind stay, if you've never been to China, this stay will put you in awe. This stay is more if a homestay owned by families. Rich with ******* heritage and hospitality. We were quite surprised that they said to just go upstairs and choose any room we liked 🤣. We really enjoyed our stay although the amenities were quite lacking but just enough. At night we were asking the owner if there is any nearby convenience store to buy some snacks but all stores were closed at the time. But the very kind uncle (owner) invited us to walk with him to his friend's store in the village. The store was closed but he called his friend to open the shop just for us ♥️. Overall a once in a lifetime memorable experience. 👍

GGuest UserComfortable and cozy room with Japanese-style decorations. I especially love the heated bed topper. The hotel staff, which we think is also the owner, is really nice and friendly. It is a little far from Heishui downtown, but there was nothing to do in town at night anyway, so no issue there. Having said that the hotel is not close to Heishui city, the staff offered to bring us dinner, so eating was not an issue.
The hotel is located close to Dagu Glacier with around 5-min taxi ride.
