"This is our first time staying in a high class hotel.
It certainly felt luxurious, wonderful rooms and excellent service. The attentivness of the staff was fantastic and the buffet in the Crimson Restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was fantastic many many options all of which were high quality, fresh and tasty!
The gym for a luxurious hotel was a let down, incredibly basic, but that is my only complaint.
The onson baths were magnificent, the naked hot spring onson on site was nice,
The views from every room as far as I cab tell are amazing the lake is and landscape is breathtaking and the hotel is cleverly designed to maximise this and the viewing of the landscapes.
We stayed in a japanese based room with tatami floors and futon beds.
The lake view rooms are significantly nicer and upon reflection I wish I had booked that one, but the japanese rooms was still a great experience and very comfortable.
If we were to return to sunmoon we would gladly stay here again.
The real highlights are the staff, the landscape/views and the buffet.
All make for an unforgettable stay."

It is regarded as the center of Qingjing Farm, Qingjing Grassland, Small Swiss Garden, 7-11 Image Commercial District and many other well-known scenic spots in Qingjing are available. It's easy to reach by foot, and it can be said to be the most convenient homestay in the Qingjing Farm area.The Star Villa is about 1,800 meters above sea level. Although it has a convenient location, it is far away from Taiwan Route 14A, which makes the traffic on the road seem to have nothing to do with the Sky Star Resort; it also has a wide view of the park and faces Taiwan. There are several well-known mountains such as Snow Mountain Range, Shoucheng Mountain, Dongyan Mountain, Baigu Mountain, and you can see a magnificent mountain view.
"we really enjoyed our stay! the room was really nice and spacious, for 3 people to put out our luggages, bed is comfy as well. the breakfast is yummy and homey-feeling and the CAT IS SUPER CUTE, to future guests reading this, it loves chin scratches :”) location wise was okay, the walk in was not too bad, we did go out for sunrise and late at night, 10-15 mins walk downhill to reach swiss garden area for 7eleven/some food options. the uphill walk is quite tiring, will recommend taking a bus all the up and make your way down for activities.
the only thing was that we didnt get to stargaze at night as it was too cloudy during our stay :( there are flies in qing jing so make sure to keep the insect netting closed! lovely owners/staff!"

However, the carpet in the room and in the common areas are quite dated and does not meet current standards. An update would significantly improve the overall comfort and impression of the room. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay thanks to the location and service, but some room upgrades—particularly the carpet—would make a noticeable difference."

I didn't know it was pet friendly when I booked the accommodation. After staying for one night, if I didn't meet the dog, I still didn't know it was a pet friendly homestay.
The floor barefoot is no problem, I was really scared. If the cleanliness has 10 stars I will give 10
The airtight window in the room is also very good

"The hotel truly boasts unbeatable views! However, the facilities inside, especially the sofa, were quite dirty – I didn't even dare to sit on it! The bed felt a bit itchy while sleeping, but the lake view is indeed stunning, and the price was very affordable. I really hope they can improve the cleanliness; that would make a huge difference. The hotel also provided a bicycle discount voucher, which was fantastic! It allowed me to cycle all day, even all the way to Shuishe, and I was very satisfied with that. The breakfast was a decent buffet. The hotel staff were very kind and had a great attitude. Thank you to the hotel for a wonderful holiday!"

Guest UserAs with the other reviews, the service here is amazing. You have the option to have your breakfast delivered to your room. During check-in, the staff will personally bring you to your room. If you arrived early or plan to leave sun moon lake much later after check out, you can leave your bags or luggage to the staff to keep. Staff here also offers tickets to the ferry, bicycle rental, cable car and other services available. The only con is that there is no lakeview, but everything else is very accessible. Bus station, Ferry station, 7-11 and restaurants are just a few minutes walk from the hotel. As for the room itself, the toilet is equipped with bidet. There's also some snacks and teabags for you. Electric mosquito repellent is also available if there's a need to, but I did not encounter any bugs in the room. Room is also modernly designed and most importantly, clean and bugs-free! Bed is of soft and comfortable type. I nearly dozed off while lying on bed. Wifi's strong as well. Would highly recommend to others who plans to visit sun moon lake. This hotel has almost everything you need, convenience, amazing service, and good food.

The building uses H-steel construction, though the exterior decoration doesn't give that away. The building materials are quite good. The interior decoration is definitely 5-star quality. Most of the main equipment is made in China, and the quality is very high standard.
The bidet toilet (JOMOW), shower facilities, audio system (Edifier M230), and room power control device, though made in China, are all of impeccable quality.
Overall, about 80-90% of the room's building materials are from China, which shows that Chinese building materials still have a certain level of competitiveness.
The stay offered a comfort level of 9.9/10!
Occasionally, there are sheep grazing on the hillside below.
Hotpot is available for dinner, and there are live singers on weekends, which creates a great atmosphere.
Breakfast is Chinese style, with congee served with various Chinese breakfast items, toast, fruit, eggs, and high-mountain cabbage. Beverages include coffee, soy milk, and red bean milk, among others (no Western breakfast options).
It's understandable that there might be some common insects and flies in the dining area.

I fully enjoyed my stay at Sun Moon Lake Hotel in terms of their hospitality and beautiful & peaceful location.
They have supported me to get to one of the old tea farm which needs special transportation arrangement by arranging a very attentive and helpful driver.
They are located at a peaceful quintet location which is about 15 min walk from Suishe visitor centre also nearby secret small water area where fireflies appears at night of spring season.
They have a free bicycle service too so I could also fully enjoy both cycling and morning walk to see sunrise at a quiet wooden boardwalk.
I would like to come back at the next firefly season.
Thanks again for the wonderful stay.

Great property, less than 5 min walk from the bus terminal. Well appointed room, very clean and great water pressure in the shower. Restaurant in the basement serves some good chinese food with al fresco sitting in front of the lake. Good breakfast is also served in the same restaurant. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. They also provide good discounted tickets for some of the activities like the boat ride, gondola and round the lake shuttle bus. We really loved our stay there.

We had a great stay! The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing excellent recommendations for local attractions and even helping us secure discounted tickets. The room was clean and offered a beautiful view. A highlight was the breakfast—simple yet delicious. To top it off, the host kindly arranged for staff to drop us off at the Shuishe main bus station. Truly thoughtful service!

Overall, it was pretty good. My neighbors, either next door or upstairs, were incredibly noisy all night long, moving things around, banging, and jumping. Also, there was no hot water in the dispenser in the hallway, though it's possible I just didn't know how to use it.

The room was clean and spacious, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel is ideally located in Shuishe, a stop for the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, offering convenient transportation while still being quiet. It's just a 10-minute walk to the Sun Moon Lake Visitor Center where you can catch the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle and the round-the-lake bus. Since there aren't many shops or food stalls in Shuishe at night, we chose a room package that included dinner. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style at the hotel, allowing us to relax and enjoy, offering great value for money. The in-room bathtub was perfect for a hot soak, which was very convenient. The service was excellent, and both my friend and I were very satisfied. We'd be happy to book this hotel again next time.

It was lovely staying at the lakeside hotel, which is at the heart of the Ita Thao village. The proprietors were friendly and welcoming and had incredible local knowledge including exclusive deals for local excursions when booked through the hotel. The self service breakfasts were simple (very typical of ********* breakfast) but of high quality and extremely well cooked.

The hotel is considerably cheaper than others in the area with similar-looking rooms and it is brilliantly-located right at the lakefront and only 2 minutes away from the bus terminal.
The staff is very friendly and you even get a discount voucher for the nearby bike rental.
I booked a room without a window and got one with two windows which is absolutely appreciated. I even had a very large bathroom with a gorgeous and huge bathtub which was an unexpected luxury.
Overall the room is clean and comfortable. The AC works perfectly, the bed is comfortable enough for a few days, and the the linen and towels were fresh.
The interior is dated which didn't bother me me much because it was still as clean as dated interior can get and therefore definitely clean enough for me and for most travellers. I actually kinda liked the old charme.
The walls are thin, though it doesn't matter so much because there aren't many rooms per floor.
The breakfast was surprisingly nice and located in another hotel right at the lakefront so that you have stunning views!
