The Scholars Hotel Suzhou Pingjiangfu (Shuxiangshijia Huisuojiudian Suzhou Pingjiangfudian) is located in the heart of Suzhou old town and handy for visiting the many local attractions and classical Chinese gardens found there. An attractive hotel, it features traditional Chinese-style architecture, courtyards featuring pools of water and sculptured rock. Guestrooms boast contemporary furnishings with traditional touches and all the usual amenities required for a comfortable stay.

"Five stars are good, but I'd give it six! First, let's talk about the location: Suzhou's old town is absolutely packed on weekends, so a good hotel location is crucial for an enjoyable trip. Exit the hotel and turn right, and Pingjiang Road is just 50 meters away. Go another kilometer, and you'll find the Lotus Market at Baitai Park and the Flower and Bird Market on Pishi Street—all showcasing the best of old Suzhou. After parking at the hotel, the best way to explore is to rent an electric scooter. Feel the breeze through your hair under the trees. Within a 5-kilometer radius, you can reach almost 90% of old Suzhou's attractions. It's pure bliss! Room facilities: If there's one minor drawback, it's that the hardware is a bit older. But then again, with such a great location and this level of service, it wouldn't be this price if it hadn't been open for a while. So, in a way, it's just the other side of the coin. Of course, the hotel has made many efforts, such as installing Washlets later on, and the linens are well-maintained. What's particularly amazing are the hotel's teas—they're truly excellent. Breakfast: Absolutely a bonus! You must try the Cifan Tuan (sticky rice rolls), sweet with preserved mustard greens—the texture is simply first-rate. The young man making the rice rolls was also very kind, chatting as if with family. It seems they also have a seasonal dish recommendation among the stir-fries. On the day I visited, it was edamame with water bamboo, which was incredibly tender. Finally, the overall service: The staff at the front desk, both the young men and women, were excellent. It was hot, and I appreciate their thoughtful service."

It is adjacent to the Xuanmiao Temple of Guanqian Street. The hotel adopts the new Chinese decoration style, with a variety of special room types, integrating simple and classical Chinese style and modern intelligent elements, whether it is business trip, travel or other things, it can meet your needs. All the equipment selected by the hotel can be said to be ingenious, and the thoughtful and meticulous service will make you feel warm; electric curtains, intelligent touch switches, ergonomic latex mattresses, exquisite tea sets, projectors with cinema vision and high-quality speakers will make your stay experience more comfortable. The hotel is also equipped with a one-on-one luggage manager to escort your luggage. "A cute spacious hotel in the heart of Suzhou old town - Definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1. Suzhou-Style Decor: The whole hotel was decorated with the “ancient” style of decor that matches real well with the look and feel of Suzhou. 2. Location: It is located right in the “old town” area of Suzhou which gives you the perfect access to all the check-in spots in the area. The gardens, shopping streets, canals, etc. are all reachable within 5-10 minutes walk. P/s: If you get Didi (Chinese E-Hailing Taxi), it takes only 15-20 mins from Suzhou Main Station to the hotel. 3. Amazing service: As we traveled in a group of 3 so we booked 2 rooms, both of which waz actually not the same type of rooms. However when we checked-in, the reception was so nice to get 1 of the 2 rooms upgraded so that we could stay closer. In the end we got 2 rooms that right next to each other."

This hotel is a detached villa in Suzhou style! It's not just a homestay, it's a painting of Gusu, it's also a Jiangnan that you can touch as soon as you open your window! The hotel has a beautiful environment and convenient transportation. The hotel rooms are spacious and, and the facilities are fully equipped with smart home technology. The courtyard is carefully crafted by a famous designer, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of Suzhou's micro-g right in the hotel!

"I rarely leave reviews, whether good or bad, but I absolutely have to review this B&B. First off, before we even entered, we called the owner and they came out to open the gate for us. There's free parking, but spots are limited since it's a villa area, so come early, haha! It's pure luck, and I was lucky enough to get a spot. Once inside, the ambiance is exactly as pictured – ancient and charming, yet very clean. You can tell a lot of thought went into it. I'm quite particular about cleanliness. I spent an entire night, until 3 AM, looking for a hotel in Suzhou, and finally found this one the next day. The room had absolutely no strange odors, and what surprised me most was the bathroom. It was sparkling clean, even the glass shower door had no water stains. Every corner, including the windowsills and drains, was spotless. Truly amazing! As for the bedding, it's Atour bedding, so there's no need to say much – everyone knows how comfortable it is. Also, there's a young lady working the night shift who is incredibly enthusiastic and always smiling. It's definitely worth experiencing!"

Haner Hotel (Suzhou Guanqian Street Pingjiang Road)

This small hotel is located right within the Pingjiang Road scenic area. It's quite small with very few guests, so it's really quiet. However, the moment you step outside, you're in the bustling scenic area, which has a fantastic night view. You can even experience the beautiful tranquility of the street once all the crowds have dispersed. A heads-up: the hotel rooms lack USB charging ports, so remember to bring your own. The service is excellent; they'll even turn on the air conditioning in advance when they know you're arriving, ensuring you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. They also offer dining options and souvenirs, which is very convenient. Overall, it's a small place, but it perfectly encapsulates the charm and sophistication of Suzhou.

I chose the Indigo Hotel for a relaxing weekend by Jinji Lake, and it was absolutely the right decision. Scott, from Guest Relations, proactively contacted me even before check-in and was available on WeChat throughout my stay, handling all my requests with just a message. The hotel is conveniently located right by the subway exit – just a turn after exiting Exit 2 of the Contemporary Art Museum station. The Suzhou-style cyberpunk design is incredibly cool, with arches, ornate windows, and neon lights, making every photo a masterpiece. I booked a lake-view king room, which included breakfast. The room was 49 square meters and fully equipped with a coffee machine, refrigerator, complimentary first round of beverages, a Dyson hairdryer, and an automatic smart toilet. There was only one trash can, which felt a bit sparse. The room also had two bathrobes, though I honestly wonder if anyone actually enjoys wearing hotel bathrobes. The Dyson hairdryer and fully automatic smart toilet were definite highlights. For breakfast, the restaurant was quite busy on the weekend. Staff guided guests to their tables and asked if they'd like coffee or black tea. The breakfast featured a special noodle station with delicious wontons and noodles. The pastry section offered a wide variety of breads, all very soft and fluffy. My appetite is a bit small, and I was full after just a bowl of wontons and one pastry. The specialty Suzhou-style pastries, in my opinion, were just okay; I think the pastry shops in the city center would offer better options.

Our trip to Suzhou was to see a concert with my child. As someone from the Northeast, I was quite excited to visit Suzhou for the first time. Staying at the Suzhou Jinji Lake L Hotel was a wise choice. I had initially shortlisted three hotels online: one in the old city's Taohuawu district, another a five-star hotel near the Gate of the Orient, and this Suzhou Jinji Lake L Hotel. The main reason I ultimately chose this one was because it's relatively new, and the reviews seemed good. I also saw some photo reviews that made it look quite stylish (though I admit I was a little worried they might be fake at the time). However, my concerns were relieved upon arrival – it really does look just like the pictures! The service was also excellent, very warm and thoughtful. Our flight was delayed, so we checked in late at night, and the staff even gave us some bread to try. Breakfast is also highly recommended! We stayed for 5 nights, and even though the menu was the same each day, we never felt the food was monotonous; there were plenty of choices. Another plus is that the hotel has so many photo opportunities everywhere, perfect for kids who love taking pictures. The surrounding environment is also great; step outside and you're at Jinji Lake Moonlight Wharf, with many restaurants nearby, giving it a very cultured vibe. It's also very close to the subway station. All in all, I highly recommend it! For more details, please see the pictures!

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket.

My stay at the Qiyupai Air Courtyard Resort Hotel during my trip to Suzhou was absolutely fantastic! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to Shantang Street, and the subway is also very convenient. It's truly a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city. The high-altitude courtyard design is incredibly atmospheric, with a blend of Suzhou-style Zen and a dry landscape garden. Watching the sunset over the ancient city from the terrace in the evening, as the lights begin to glow, was incredibly soothing and therapeutic. The room came with its own private, constantly-heated hot spring bath, offering excellent privacy. Soaking in the hot spring while enjoying the evening breeze completely washed away all my travel fatigue. The attention to detail was exceptional – a giant projection screen and smart bathroom facilities were all available, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly. Breakfast was a semi-buffet featuring authentic Suzhou specialties, with freshly made pastries that tasted great. The serving hours were also very accommodating. The front desk service was thoughtful and attentive, and they even provided helpful tips for exploring the local area upon check-in. Overall, the hotel is clean and elegant, perfect for both couples on a romantic getaway or friends traveling together. Staying here in Suzhou is a sure bet, and I'll definitely choose it again next time!

I highly recommend this hotel ❤️. It's right on the main street of Pingjiang Road, by the canal. It's not one of those tiny guesthouses; it seems to have nearly twenty rooms, and the decor and facilities are excellent. Most rooms are on the second floor, and downstairs, you're right amidst all sorts of food and shops, which is incredibly convenient. During the day, Pingjiang Road is bustling with people, but the windows have two layers, providing good sound insulation. By about 10:30 PM, the streets quiet down, so you can go downstairs and stroll around leisurely. At night, the streets are mostly empty, making the rooms very quiet. The rooms are clean, tidy, and quite spacious. The staff are also very warm and attentive. The parking lot is right across the street, just over a small bridge. It's also very close to nearby attractions from the hotel.
