"An absolutely wonderful experience! The entire hotel was designed by Singapore's Temasek Group and is seamlessly integrated with the Panmen Scenic Area. The hotel itself is built around a traditional Chinese garden layout, cleverly concealing eight distinct attractions. Its back entrance leads directly into the Panmen Scenic Area, and with your hotel key card, you get unlimited access throughout the day, along with services like Hanfu rental. The hotel itself is impeccable, with top-notch amenities, including the pool and gym. The customer service staff are also very professional. I noticed many foreigners, especially Singaporeans, staying here. The only minor drawback is that the rooms are spread across multiple buildings, making the hotel quite large. On my first visit, it took me a while to navigate from the front desk to my room. Also, the front desk is on the 3rd floor, while the rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors, which can be a bit confusing when coming and going."

"The Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou is absolutely the pinnacle of atmospheric getaways in Suzhou, truly a hidden gem of a garden hotel! Friends who love the ancient charm of Jiangnan and a relaxed vacation vibe will fall deeply in love with this place. The location is truly irreplaceable; nestled in the heart of the ancient city, adjacent to the Master of the Nets Garden and Canglang Pavilion, you step right out into the bustling streets and alleys of old Suzhou. It's within walking distance to commercial areas, offering tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle. You can easily explore ancient streets and visit gardens, yet still enjoy peace and quiet within the hotel – the location is simply superb. The room experience is incredibly refined and comfortable. The room types are bright and airy with excellent natural light, and the courtyard rooms come with a private small courtyard, allowing you to admire the Suzhou garden scenery right from your bed. The in-room amenities are high-end and complete, featuring branded toiletries and exceptionally high-quality bedding that is soft against the skin and provides comfortable support, ensuring a particularly peaceful night's rest. The independent bathroom is well-designed with thoughtful details, and the mini-bar is fully equipped and convenient to use. Overall, it feels both homey and luxurious, with every detail exuding quality. What's most heartwarming is the hotel's butler service, which is attentive, meticulous, and responsive throughout. They communicated needs in advance before check-in and were on call during our stay, carefully attending to every aspect from travel and daily routines to replenishing supplies. Their service was gentle yet discreet – special thanks to Ambo! The hotel lobby also features an adorable Golden Retriever named 'Little Sister Jin,' who is incredibly therapeutic. The open and relaxed atmosphere, combined with subtle hints of everyday life, breaks away from the monotonous business hotel model, preserving the unique gentle charm of Jiangnan. It's a niche, luxurious, and highly recommendable place for repeat stays!"

The hotel really emphasizes thoughtful, non-intrusive service. The rooms are spacious and quiet, offering beautiful views of Suzhou's morning and nightscapes. On the last night before we left, the AC wasn't cooling, and the bread left in the room wasn't fresh. The front desk promptly prepared fresh bread and had it ready to be delivered to our room first thing the next morning. They also offer a bed-joining service and have many family-friendly activities, making it perfect for family trips. Downstairs is the Zizhi Garden, a restoration based on historical documents. Though small, it perfectly captures the charm of a Suzhou-style garden. I personally think it's even better for photos than the larger garden attractions because there are fewer crowds. Taking pictures, feeding the fish, and enjoying the scenery there is truly delightful."

"Shantang Street is a culturally rich and bustling place, but it's *too* bustling, and in summer, it really tests your endurance. Jiangnan Weaving House is located in the middle section of Shantang Street, and being able to rest nearby when you're tired is such a lifesaver. This time, I'm incredibly grateful to the front desk staff, Xiao Xin and Shasha, for their meticulousness and warmth during check-in, and to Charles for arranging a pick-up and drop-off point in advance. This was a huge help for us, traveling with children and elderly family members. From handling luggage to guiding us through registration, and continuously asking about our family's needs, their service attitude was truly touching. Miss Xiaoneng and other colleagues who took over the front desk the next day also maintained the same consistent service, and the breakfast auntie was just as friendly. They were especially thoughtful when they learned we were celebrating our child's birthday. They even ordered a lovely little cake for us, which made our child deeply feel the warmth of the Suzhou people – he was absolutely delighted! The facilities, however, were a bit of a pity; there was no safe and no smart toilet, and storage space was a bit limited. But the air conditioning was excellent, and the lighting was comfortable. The bedding was also very good and comfortable for sleeping, and the internet speed was decent. For a short stay, the family room is still very suitable. Most importantly, there were no mosquitoes in the room, no mosquitoes, no mosquitoes! The hotel's ambiance is elegantly antique yet incorporates modern design elements. The loom display on the first floor is particularly splendid and spectacular. It effectively blocks out the hustle and bustle of Shantang Street, creating a peaceful haven for rest. I highly recommend it for short-term travel!"

The Ritz-Carlton, Suzhou is nestled in the heart of Gusu District, within the newly developed China Central Place Suzhou, adjacent to the historic Gusu ancient city. The hotel seamlessly blends the essence of the Suzhou culture with modern luxury, showcasing the elegant charm of Jiangnan water town. The hotel boasts 190 spacious and bright guestrooms and suites, five event and meeting venues, and three distinctive dining venues, including Feng Pan Ting Lobby Lounge, Biao Xia Chinese restaurant and Alkanna all-day dining restaurant, where guests can savor both local flavors and Western delicacies. "This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Suzhou, right next to MixC World (you can access the mall directly from the hotel's basement level one). Parking is free on the hotel's designated area in basement level two, and it's less than 1km from Shantang Street. The hotel even offers a complimentary luxury car service within a 2km radius. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warm service. They helped us with our luggage all the way from check-in to our room. My daughter really wanted a Ritz-Carlton lion plushie, so I mentioned it to the front desk, and they kindly gave us one wearing a traditional Chinese jacket – she was thrilled! We booked a three-day, two-night package with executive lounge benefits, which included five meals a day (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and evening cocktails). For afternoon tea, we chose to have it delivered to our room instead of going to the executive lounge. The staff who brought it over also took the time to explain each pastry. The executive lounge dinner was quite extensive, with a special limited-edition dish each evening (one per person). Since this stay coincided with a birthday, the hotel upgraded us to a suite and provided a free extra bed. They also added some simple birthday decorations and a small cake. What's more, they customized a 'Happy Birthday' room key card for us, and the executive lounge even prepared birthday noodles in the evening. The turndown service included a local specialty embroidered fan and a silk eye mask. I must commend the Ritz-Carlton Suzhou staff for their meticulous, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive service. A special thank you to Edward Luo at the front desk for thoughtfully gifting the Ritz lion for the birthday, and to Kate for making us feel right at home. It was a fantastic stay. Our hotel experience was perfect, and we'll definitely choose the Ritz-Carlton again on our next visit to Suzhou."

Situated in Suzhou New District commercial area, the Shangri-La Suzhou (Suzhou Xianggelila Dajiudian) is not far from the Suzhou Railway Station and top Suzhou sights like Suzhou Museum West, the Hanshan Temple, Tiger Hill (Huqiu) and Suzhou Amusement Park. Other offerings include a ticket office and a ticket office. When it comes to relaxing, guests can take a refreshing dip in the indoor swimming pool, play tennis, or workout at the gym. For something even more chill, guests can pay a visit to the sauna.

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A perfect stay! Service is truly the soul of Shangri-La Suzhou. This time I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel, Suzhou, located at 168 Tayuan Road, and the overall experience was impeccable – a perfect score of 5 for all aspects. The foundation of a long-standing five-star hotel is still evident: guest rooms are located above the 28th floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lion Hill and the city skyline. The bedding was just the right firmness, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a restful sleep until morning. The breakfast buffet offered authentic Suzhou-style braised pork noodles, xiao long bao, and tangyuan, alongside freshly made Western pastries – all of high quality. The pool, gym, and Horizon Club Lounge were all well-equipped. The location is also fantastic, right next to the Shishan Road business district and the subway, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. However, what truly made me want to write this glowing review were the people. Front desk staff Ella Cui – I arrived during the afternoon check-in rush, and Ella maintained a cheerful smile throughout. She processed my information, swiped pre-authorization, and explained the room type seamlessly, without any robotic procedural feel. She proactively offered explanations about the views from two high-floor city-view rooms and reminded me of the breakfast times. A front desk staff member who 'remembers your name and anticipates your needs' is a rarity even in five-star hotels. Guest Relations Lisa – All my minor requests after arrival were followed up and resolved by her. Her responses were swift, and she was never intrusive. The hardware provides the elegance, but Ella and Lisa provided the warmth. Next time I'm in Suzhou New District, this will be my default choice, and I'll definitely recommend it to friends."

We had a wonderful Chinese New Year holiday at this hotel. The decorations were perfect for taking photos, and the service was thoughtful and warm. The security guard at the entrance even kindly told us about the shuttle bus to the ancient town and gave lollipops to the kids! The lantern show at Daguan Garden was absolutely stunning at night. Since there weren't many people, the kids had a blast running around the corridors. The complimentary travel photoshoot was great value for money, though posed shots aren't really suitable for young children, especially with two of them – props to the photographer for his patience! 😂 The Chinese New Year activities in the lobby were very entertaining. The indoor and outdoor kids' play areas, though not huge, kept the little ones occupied for a while. The heated pool's water was a bit cool, which could be improved. Overall, it's a great resort for families with both elderly parents and young children, and I noticed a surprisingly high number of seniors among the guests! 😝

The two restaurants within the hotel are also fantastic, and the service is top-notch. A special shout-out to Liu Qian, the lovely manager at the front desk. She's incredibly gentle and kind, and handles things with meticulous care and responsibility. We even saw her diligently working during afternoon tea, which is truly commendable! Also, Zhao Jianping, the housekeeping staff who cleaned our room, was exceptionally warm and welcoming, making us feel very happy. The hotel's overall management is strict and well-regulated, ensuring a fantastic vacation experience! Definitely worth returning to multiple times!

The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from Pingjiang Road. After exploring Pingjiang Road, it's perfectly situated to visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum. The hotel has an antique charm, offering a quiet retreat in a bustling area. I was pleasantly surprised to find a direct dispenser for hot and cold drinking water in the room. Breakfast isn't a buffet; you choose your items the day before, but it's so delicious and generous that we only wished our stomachs were bigger! From the moment we checked in, every staff member was incredibly warm and welcoming. A special shout-out to Front Desk Agent Xiao Xu, who contacted us even before our arrival to give us directions and continued to check in on us until we checked out. She truly made this short trip perfect, and we're so grateful!

I’d call this hotel a ‘soul-healing pod for city dwellers’ ✨ At first, I was just drawn in by the gentle vibe in the pictures. It's funny how you just know when something's right – the moment I clicked on it, I thought, 'Yep, this is the one.' But staying here turned out to be even more therapeutic than I imagined. When I checked in, the front desk guy upgraded my room, and my heart melted the moment I opened the door to that scenic balcony. The evening breeze in Suzhou recently has been as soft as cotton candy. After a shower, I sat on the balcony, just zoning out. No mosquitoes, no traffic noise, just the night sky and the occasional cool gust. At that moment, I felt like a leaf that had been ironed flat 🍃. I also have to rave about the wellness programs here! The sound bath with singing bowls was my little nightly treat; the sound rippled through the dark like a brain massage. The oxygen chamber and the Xiaoyu therapy bed were my 'sleep switches' – the second time I lay on that massage bed, I just drifted off... The therapists tailored the treatments to my physical condition; it wasn't a one-size-fits-all routine. I truly felt 'seen' and 'cared for.' Even on a solo trip, I felt completely at ease. Although the hotel is in the city, the soundproofing is like another dimension. It’s super close to Humble Administrator's Garden, Guanqian Street, and Pingjiang Road. Delivery food was available whenever I wanted it; I could even summon nearby Suzhou-style snacks with a click. One day, I ordered all three meals for delivery, and the front desk guy even offered to bring them up to my room – seriously, their thoughtfulness made me want to give them candy 🍬. Mini-bar, fruit, and a nightly 'goodnight soup' were all provided daily. It was pure bliss. I initially only planned to stay for two days, but it was so comfortable that I extended my stay for another night. After three days, my shoulders and neck felt relaxed, and even my breathing had slowed down by half a beat. I think I'll be back. Not just for that evening breeze, that bed, or that delivered bowl of Suzhou mung bean soup, but also for the gentle 'I hope you rest well' look in every staff member's eyes here. Whether you're alone or with someone, this place will gently embrace you. 🌙

This hotel has the highest concentration of 'xiaojiejie' (young women, often with a hint of being escorts) I've ever seen. If you sit in the lobby bar for about half an hour starting at 2 PM, you can pretty much figure out what kind of 'xiaojiejie' the 'big brothers' from Suzhou are taking out these days. And if you go around 1 AM, you'll get an even clearer picture. The next day, when I went swimming, there were a bunch of 'xiaojiejie' with great figures, scantily clad, posing for photos, making it impossible to actually photograph the pool. Right next door is Huaihai Street. I went there at 11 PM to eat soba noodles and saw a lot of 'love' being delivered to people's doors. There were also some 'xiaojiejie' walking arm-in-arm with Japanese older men back to the hotel. And some who were drunk, clinging to men and shouting loudly. When I went downstairs in the middle of the night, I saw a giant cockroach in the mist and felt a bit helpless, worrying it would suddenly turn into a defense tower and shoot a fireball or lightning, destroying the Indigo. Downstairs, there's also a now-rare Jiyue car. I vaguely remember that the Jiyue exhibition area used to be right downstairs from the Indigo, in the mall. I suggest the hotel cancels the welcome fruit service. Most people generally find it inconvenient, especially in this kind of hotel. The hotel offered me many courtesies beyond normal expectations to compensate for some inconveniences I experienced, but I declined them all. So, I'll just give it a normal rating. The facilities are a bit old, but breakfast is good. The perfume in the elevator is too strong, but everything else is pretty good.

We stayed 1 night in this lovely hotel on a Sunday night. We managed to check in early at 1 pm and was upgraded from the 30 sqm king room we booked to a larger 41 sqm room. The room is new and used lovely bath amenities, an Australian hotel brand. Our stay came with a set dinner for 2 persons and the food was delicious. The pricing in the hotel restaurant is similar or cheaper than any other regular Chinese restaurant outside. We paid the next day at lunch time to eat Chinese food at the hotel again as the restaurant environment is nice and service is good. They have a very well equipped gym which unfortunately we did not have time to use during our 24 hour stay. Our room rate included breakfast and the selection was generous, the only negative would be the coffee beans they used are too acidic but that’s a personal preference. The location of the hotel is slightly to 1 side of the Suzhou old city but some sights like 网师园 are walking distance. Suzhou city is actually quite spread out, no one location is best for sightseeing. The great thing is didi only cost less than RMB10 per ride from this hotel so it is still very convenient. I would not bother with the Suzhou subway, it is not as convenient as the one in Shanghai. Oh yes, the cable TV have english programming which is nice for a hotel in China. I believe this Artyzen Habitat brand is managed by the Macau Shun Tak group. Will stay here again for good value and service. 这个酒店非常好,值得回来再住。五星级的设施,四星级的价钱。

The hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests. The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries. Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower. The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums. In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs. Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me. But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.

An absolutely exceptional hotel experience, made truly unforgettable by the extraordinary level of service and dedication of the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with genuine warmth, professionalism, and attention to every detail. The entire team went far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect from a hotel staff. A very special mention must go to Kong Chengjie, whose help was simply extraordinary. I had accidentally dropped my phone into a river and had almost given up any hope of finding it. Kong Chengjie meticulously reconstructed all of our movements and the places we had visited, carefully working out where the phone might have been lost. Thanks to his incredible determination, patience, and attention to detail, he actually managed to recover my phone from the river. This was far more than excellent customer service — it was an extraordinary act of dedication and genuine care that I will never forget. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The facilities and overall experience are excellent, but it is the people who truly make this place exceptional. My deepest thanks to the entire team, and especially to Kong Chengjie, for turning a potentially disastrous situation into an unforgettable example of outstanding hospitality. Without hesitation, one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Highly recommended! Btw: I have extended my Booking for 4 days in this hotel!

I chose this pet-friendly hotel for my Dragon Boat Festival stay. The room was quite spacious and bright, with a balcony, and there was an elevator. Service: Excellent! They proactively helped with my luggage and brought it to the room. Typical Hilton standard service. Ambiance: Absolutely beautiful. Facilities: It would have been even better if there was a bidet.
