"The inn's location is fantastic, directly across from the Lion Grove Garden, and very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, making sightseeing incredibly convenient! I had originally booked the smallest room in the inn. When I arrived, I asked the owner if a free upgrade was possible, as many guests had mentioned being upgraded. Without a second thought, the owner immediately upgraded me to the largest room—the service was truly exceptional! The room decor was beautiful, especially the large bed, which perfectly embodies classical Chinese aesthetics. There was also a tatami tea table and a small arhat bed. The front desk even provides a sewing kit for mending clothes, all of which speaks volumes about the owner's excellent service. I'm definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou."

"This weekend, I chose a guesthouse near Pingjiang Mansion in Suzhou. The location was absolutely fantastic, right by historical sites like Pingjiang Road, the Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lion Grove Garden. After parking and checking in, we could explore on foot. It was so convenient to return to the hotel for a rest during the hot midday. In the evening, we took a stroll along the riverside path at Dongyuan, enjoying the cool breeze, and then returned to the lively, bustling atmosphere of Pingjiang Road cultural street. It felt like stepping back in time, very interesting. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They had already turned on the air conditioning before we arrived and personally guided us to parking. Their attention to detail made us feel right at home. The courtyard is also beautifully decorated with a charming Jiangnan style."

"I'm proactively reviewing this place. I decided to extend my stay by a day, but my original hotel was fully booked, and I didn't want to leave this area. I stumbled upon this place by chance, right across the street. I immediately booked a room, grabbed my luggage, and crossed the road. It has a very small entrance, about 100 meters from Beisitang Metro Station. I arrived early and the room wasn't ready. When I returned in the afternoon, the staff mentioned there was no elevator but offered to help with my luggage. Upstairs, there's a common area that serves as a lobby, like a book bar, with a few rooms around it. The room itself was square and spacious, the shower was large, and the toilet had a bidet. Surprisingly, there were specially curated books placed on the bed, which added a touch of elegance! What was a bit unexpected was a bathtub 🛁😆 in front of the large window. I think a desk would have been better there. The window offers a view of Beisitang Pagoda and the bustling street, but the soundproofing is good. All in all, it's a niche designer living space with a scholarly atmosphere. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in Suzhou! P.S. I discovered my favorite Suzhou-style noodle shop, ”Gusu Bridge” Beisitang branch, just 50 meters away! It's a noodle shop centered around a scholarly, refined space – a truly wonderful dining experience. I had already visited three of their branches in two days, and I didn't realize there was one so close. The next day, I went for noodles at 7 AM. There were already a few elderly people eating. Eating noodles while watching the light rain outside, listening to the chirping of crickets from a cage nearby, and admiring the beautiful scenery in front of me created a wonderful memory of my trip to Suzhou!"

"This is my second time in Suzhou, and I'm very satisfied with the hotel I chose this time. The location is excellent, nestled in an alley, giving it a charming 'Jiangnan' (South of the Yangtze River) feel. It's just a minute's walk from Pingjiang Road, and Metro Line 6 is also nearby. Taxis are easily accessible right at the intersection. The room is very spacious, and the cleanliness is meticulously maintained. They provide a comprehensive set of amenities; I particularly appreciate that there were two or three towels. I really love hotels that pay such close attention to detail. The internet is fast, and watching TV on the large screen is very comfortable. You can also cast your screen, which is much better than a projector – those machines are too noisy when running. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit."

"Absolutely amazing! I'm so glad I picked this hotel, all that time I spent choosing was worth it. It's even more upscale than I imagined. While it's a bit of a walk from the subway, there are bus stops conveniently located behind the hotel. They have a bathtub, a tatami floor-to-ceiling window, a rain shower head, bathroom slippers, a mini-fridge, and a water dispenser 😍. They even have a Xiaomi smart scale and a Dyson hairdryer, plus a projector... so many thoughtful touches! The front desk staff are wonderful, and they even let me check in early. They offer free laundry service in advance and even prepared a detailed PDF for guests. The atmosphere is so comfortable, I almost didn't want to leave and explore! 🥹"

"The room is new, with a modern Chinese aesthetic inspired by the Song Dynasty. It's clean and tidy, and the service attitude is excellent. The kids especially loved having VIP access to movies in the summer. It's not far from the subway station, and there's a mall nearby for dining. It would be perfect if they didn't spray that air freshener on the first floor and just kept it ventilated."

During our recent stay at this wonderful hotel, we were exceptionally satisfied with every aspect of our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the hotel staff who came out to meet us at the scenic area entrance and assisted with our luggage. This level of service set the tone for our entire visit. The hotel's décor is stunning, creating a serene and visually pleasing environment. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, providing a restful haven where we enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep. It truly is a fantastic place to relax and unwind. One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful afternoon tea, particularly the grain snacks which were so delicious that we requested the hotel staff to help purchase and courier some to Shanghai for us to bring home. Their willingness to accommodate our request added a special touch to our experience. Breakfast at the hotel was another standout. The porridge, in particular, was so delectable that the hotel kindly gave us a pack of the rice used to prepare it. This gesture was much appreciated and spoke volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction. Overall, our stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable and pleasant retreat. If we return to this area, we will undoubtedly choose to stay here again.

This time, my sister and I visited Suzhou again and booked this hotel 🏨. We stayed here last year, and both the environment and service were excellent! So, we chose to stay here again. The hotel 🏨 is conveniently located right on Pingjiang Road. After checking in, you also get two complimentary tickets to a Pingtan teahouse 🆓. Last time, we had a king-size room, and this time we got a twin room. There's even a rocking chair in the room that my sister found so comfortable she didn't want to go out sightseeing! The hotel 🏨 room rate includes breakfast, and both the braised pork noodles and braised beef noodles were delicious. After breakfast, we took a nice stroll along Pingjiang Road!

The location is super convenient, just a short walk from Xiangmen Station. Right across from the hotel, there's a soup dumpling shop, breakfast spots, and a convenience store. Plus, there's a large shopping mall diagonally opposite with lots of stylish boutiques. My single room wasn't huge, but it was very clean. The window was on the smaller side, but the ventilation was still quite good. The hotel's gym and laundry facilities (washer and dryer) were both excellent.

Stayed at this homestay for 3 nights in July which is peak season for summer domestic travel in China. The rooms are comfortable and had all the amenities you’d expect of a 4 star hotel - comfortable beds, lounging area, balcony, TV, good toiletries, hair dryer. Other positives were very friendly service staff, hearty breakfast from the cafe with is on the same premise. There’s also local restaurants nearby to dine at which are not bad, just 5-10 mins walk down the road. I also enjoyed waking up to run across the bridge which has a great sunrise view. A lot of tourists visit the cafe for the sunset views. The hotel staff can do room service and bring food ordered from the cafe to your room if requested. Note though that location wise it is not as close to other cafes and stuff. You’ll need to travel a fair bit if you want to venture and do other things. I wanted a peaceful retreat with a good view but nearer to mainland (compared to the main 西山岛) so this worked for me. I stayed in 3 different rooms (Rm 1,4,5) for my 3 nights as I had asked for a room with a view but was initially assigned one that was completely blocked by trees. In trying to accommodate my request I ended up having different rooms (to no fault of the staff and property) each night. There are 8 ‘normal rooms’ and one suite room that is round and more suited for honeymoon/romantic occasions. Rooms 3,4,5,6 are the ones with the better view. Room 1 (my first room) has a completely blocked view which is a waste staying by the lake. Rooms 4 and 5 have the best view. Note also that rm 1 and 4 have a skylight that cannot be blocked so by 5 am your room is gonna be bright although they do give you eye shades to help. There is also no laundry facilities on site. Only additional feedback to the property would be that they could consider a discount for guests to dine at the cafe, that could encourage guests to have more meals there. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this for anyone looking for an escape for the buzz and want a tranquil place to rest!

The location is excellent as it is just a stone throw away from Guanqian Street. Plenty of good food (local delicacies) nearby. We enjoyed our stay as the staff was hospitable in checking with us amenities that need to be replenished. However, for the room type that we have chosen (with loft), it is not suitable for people who are above 1.7m height as we knocked on our head every day due to the ceiling structure. It would also be good that if the homestay's shower head water flow could be stronger.

I chose this hotel because it looked close when I booked it, and it really is just a three or four-minute walk to the subway entrance, and two stops from Shantang Street. The hotel is next to a residential area, so it's not too noisy. The room was newly renovated and very cozy, and the cleaning was meticulous; the sheets had no strange odors. The front desk staff was very friendly and proactively told me how to take the boat tour. It's convenient for getting around, and there's a lounge area in the hallway. For just over two hundred yuan, it's a great value, especially being so close to the train station.
