"I stayed at the State Guesthouse for two nights. The lobby was grand, and the room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. However, I absolutely, absolutely do not recommend swimming in the pool! The water in the pool was murky, and there were so many children soaking in it that they completely packed the lanes. There was no coach or lifeguard to supervise, so it was impossible to swim. Perhaps this pool is purely for kids to play in, which is a shame. Also, at night, you can hear the highway and train sounds, so if you're a light sleeper or have trouble falling asleep, remember to bring earplugs."

"The cleanliness truly deserves praise! The bedding was spotless and neatly arranged, and the bathroom was clean and odor-free. It is about 10 minutes' drive from Tongren High-speed Railway Station; 40 minutes' drive from Tongren Airport; 80 minutes' drive from Phoenix Ancient City; and 70 minutes' drive from Fanjing Mountain Scenic Area. The construction area of Nancheng Courtyard is about 2,600 square meters. The rooms are divided into four main courts: east, south, west and north. "The environment is great, full of ancient charm. The entire courtyard has a classic, antique feel. However, if you're sensitive to noise when sleeping, I wouldn't recommend it. It's an old wooden house with high ceilings, and even with renovations, it's pretty much soundproof. But the beautiful surroundings and excellent location make it worth overlooking that one flaw. It's just a minute or two's walk from the Zhongnan Archway, making it super convenient whether you want to stroll around the old town or head to Zhonghuan International. Plus, the staff are really enthusiastic and quick to resolve any issues you might have."

"Because our Guizhou trip was quite packed, and we had booked tickets for Fanjing Mountain for both morning and afternoon, we decided to stay two nights in Tongren city for safety reasons. First, the hotel's location is unbeatable. It's very convenient for transportation and just a stone's throw away from Tongren Ancient City, with bustling surroundings like a blooming garden 🌸😄.
Second, the hotel facilities are comprehensive. There's a parking lot 🅿️, a magnificent lobby, convenient and fast elevators/stairs. The hygiene is clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the environment is elegant and quiet. Staying on a high floor, you can see a winding river below and lush green mountains shrouded in mist in the distance – it's absolutely beautiful!

The facilities aren't new, so I wouldn't recommend it for tourists looking for a relaxing vacation. However, I highly recommend it for those on a budget who want a comfortable place to stay.
The room had everything you'd expect. It looked a bit old, but it was just worn, not dirty (as anyone who's stayed in an old house knows). It was cleaned quite well. The shower pipe in my room was slightly broken and leaked, but the hot water was plentiful, so showering wasn't a problem. The breakfast was simple, just a regular breakfast, but definitely not bad! It was much more convenient than finding a breakfast shop in the cold winter mornings. Two days they served porridge, vegetables, and steamed buns, and on the last day they served freshly made noodles and rice noodles. I ate one bowl but wasn't full, so I asked for another. The staff were also very friendly.
The most important thing is! The room was really nice! Large! The bathroom wasn't cramped either! And the mattress was very thick! I stayed for four days, and this spacious room was still the most comfortable. Perhaps because the room was large and far away, there was very little noise. Overall, the stay was good, and even though I'm not a big sleeper, I slept quite well. So far, the only hotels I've stayed in that have been more comfortable than this one are four-star hotels. However, four-star hotels are expensive, so this one is more budget-friendly. Satisfied, five-star review. Wishing the hotel great success."

"Time was short, but this trip to Tongren, Guizhou, was a welcome revisit. I also recently visited Guiyang, which provided a wonderful experience and laid the foundation for this trip… Skipping over many details and organizing my thoughts, let me get to the point: Tongren is a clean city, and the people are incredibly warm and welcoming. From taking a few taxi rides to chatting with people in the city, I felt an indescribable love, confidence, and joy for living here… The main point is about the accommodation. "I arrived around 9 PM. The parking lot is shared with a mall, and the environment was quite poor. The front desk staff's attitude during check-in was mediocre. I had breakfast included, but they didn't remind me of the breakfast times or location. After driving all day, I was completely out of it and forgot if I had even booked breakfast. It took about 20 to 30 minutes for a robot to deliver a pair of slippers. The showerhead was broken, only the top shower was working. It was too late and I was too tired to bother calling the front desk. When checking out, they didn't mention anything about returning the deposit; I had to ask about it later, and then they promptly returned it.
The pros are that the room was spacious and nicely decorated, and the bedding was good. However, the cleanliness was average, the service was mediocre, and the soundproofing in the room was very poor."

The hotel is very close to the train station, and it only takes ten minutes to walk from the room to the train station. The lady boss is very considerate and will get up early to cook eggs for the guests. When checking out in the morning to catch the train, the boss enthusiastically reminded me not to forget to take the eggs, which was very touching. There are coffee and other drinks and small snacks and desserts available at the front desk. The room also provides a washing machine, a disinfection cabinet and a smart toilet. The price-performance ratio of this hotel is quite high. The only drawback is that the window sound insulation is a bit poor. You can hear the sound of the train, and wearing earplugs does not affect your sleep. The hotel has free parking, and it is very convenient to park and return the car when renting a car for a self-driving tour.

Raghunath C G NairAmazing! Fascinating! Fanjingshan was the final stop of our memorable 10-day tour of Guizhou Province, and we truly could not have chosen a better place to conclude our journey. We felt genuinely blessed to stay at this lovely guesthouse for three nights. From the very beginning, the owner Mr. Zhang Haotian and his family made us feel completely at home; they were warm, engaging, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile.
The rooms are tastefully designed and thoughtfully laid out, perfectly sized for comfort. Our room offered a soothing view of the river, along with a private balcony; an ideal spot to relax with your favourite tea or coffee. The modern touches were impressive too, especially the high-tech sensor toilet, which added a pleasant surprise. The three-storey guesthouse is equipped with an elevator, a thoughtful convenience for guests with heavy luggage or those who may find climbing stairs challenging.
Dinner, lovingly cooked by the family, was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that reflected both their hospitality and culinary skill. Every meal felt homely and satisfying. We only wish we had taken more and better photographs of the guesthouse. Without a doubt, this is one place we will return to.
As for the enchanting Fanjing Mountain itself, the owner drove us to the scenic area entrance. He even offered to pick us up later, but we chose to walk back instead, enjoying the cool climate. Fanjing Mountain is magical in its own right. The steep cable car ride to the summit, which takes over 20 minutes, was an experience in itself, offering breathtaking views of the mountain ranges stretching endlessly around us. At the top stands the age-old Buddhist temple, serene and awe-inspiring, perfectly harmonising with its natural surroundings.
We loved the guesthouse, we are very grateful to Mr. Zhang and his family for their kindness, and deeply thankful for the unforgettable experience at Fanjing Mountain. It was the perfect ending to a remarkable journey.

The hotel is located at the entrance to the road leading to the fanjingshan scenic area.
It will take you around a 15mins walk or so to reach the tourist centre where you can purchase your tickets to enter the park.
The hotel is mostly aurrounded by fellow hotels and restaurants and a tiny weeny convenience stall just beside the hotel.
The plump lady receptionist might sound crude but she is extremely friendly and helpful.
The reception area is sparse but the room is defintely okay.not many guests when i was staying there.
It is worth a stay though there is nothing much to do around the area and if your aim is just to visit fanjingshan

The room was huge and well laid out, with a living room and two toilets, which made the stay very comfortable. A one-time-use bathtub cover was provided for hygiene, which I appreciated. The smart toilet bowl automatically opens the lid—though it still catches me off guard sometimes.
I stayed for two nights. As part of my usual routine, I always check the TV and Wi-Fi functionality upon check-in, and I noticed that the TV in the bedroom was not working. I reported this to the reception, but it was not fixed during my stay. On the second night, there were inconsistent loud banging noises coming from the upper floor between 9–10 pm, which sounded like construction. This was also reported to the reception, and they sent a staff member to my room to check. She also heard the noise when I asked her to come inside the room, to my surprise the noise can only be heard in my room, not even outside the door. As I had just returned to the hotel at that time, I told her I would monitor the situation and inform her if the noise continued closer to my bedtime. She was apologetic and mentioned that she would look into the issue. I appreciated her effort, although the noise was disruptive and did affect my overall experience.
The hotel is about a 30-minute drive to Tongren Railway Station and around 10 minutes to Tongren Ancient City. I would recommend this hotel if you’re only staying for a short period since there’s nothing much to do other than visiting the Fan Jing Shan Mountain (personal opinion). Side note: bed quality is indeed good, just nice for people with back pain issue.

LinnLeoWe stayed for two nights because the hotel is conveniently located near Fanjingshan. While the location was suitable for our visit, the overall experience was disappointing.
The hotel was extremely quiet when we first arrived, and it appeared that we were the only guests during our stay. Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet expectations. On our first night, we requested washing powder so that we could do some laundry. We were told that it had run out and that more would be available the following morning. However, when we checked the next day, there was still no washing powder available. More frustratingly, the staff made no effort to update us on the situation or offer an alternative solution. This lack of communication and initiative was disappointing.
The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. We eventually decided to extend our stay by one more night because my wife was experiencing back pain and preferred not to travel. However, our sleep quality did not improve. At around 6:00 a.m., we were awakened by other guests talking loudly in the corridor and by the constant noise of doors opening and closing. The soundproofing appears to be poor, as noises from the hallway could be clearly heard inside the room.
Between the uncomfortable bed, inadequate sound insulation, and the lack of attentiveness from the staff, we did not get the restful stay we had hoped for. .

Plus, the hotel has a water play area downstairs, which is perfect for families traveling with kids in the summer. Highly recommended and definitely worth it!
