"Based on a friend's recommendation, I was torn between another guesthouse and Xishe, but ultimately chose Xishe. After checking in, I felt very glad I did. The entire courtyard is elegant and unique, with a beautiful environment. The guesthouse is located in the center of the ancient city, just a few dozen meters from Xinggong Tower. The guesthouse offers free shuttle service to and from the station. The rooms are decorated in a classic style, creating a cultural atmosphere. The courtyard alone is perfect for taking photos. I would definitely choose it again next time."

"The room is small, but it has everything it should have. The layout is compact and elegant. The boss is very talented. He not only runs the inn but also studies various foods. In the evening, he invites guests to drink tea and taste his own papaya vinegar, pickled plums and lemons. The boss's wife is beautiful and gentle. The only drawback is that the room on the first floor where I stayed is relatively dark, and I have to turn on the lights during the day. But compared to the price, it is still worth it."

"It is a garden-style B&B. The entire hotel is full of plants. The environment is quiet and clean. It is located next to Chongzheng Academy of Pioneer Bookstore. It is also a must-visit place when visiting Weishan! It is only a few hundred meters away from the ancient city, and there are many restaurants, snacks and supermarkets nearby. All the staff are very friendly and warm, and the service is attentive. They provide fresh fruits, tea, tour suggestions, car rental services, and help with luggage every day. In addition to well-preserved historical buildings, rich intangible cultural heritage, and sincerity, the treasures of Weishan Warm people! It was a perfect experience!"

"This B&B is so beautiful, and it is very close to the taxi pick-up and drop-off point, which takes about one minute to get there. The stone road here is not bumpy, but relatively flat, which is friendly to luggage. It takes 7 minutes by taxi from the high-speed rail station.
The B&Bs in the city feel similar. They are all converted from very old houses, so the sanitary conditions and facilities are not as good as hotels, but they are also OK, and there is plenty of hot water. The main location is good, in the center of the ancient city, and it is convenient to walk anywhere.
The service is very considerate, enthusiastic and proactive. Helped me find my mobile phone, and still lent us clothes to dry after checking out, super praise!"

"The best and most expensive hotel in Weishan is very difficult to book! The ambiance is superb, with desserts every night and a treasure hunt activity. Checking in after completing the activity earns you a voucher for the hotel's coffee bar! No need to worry about driving; a hotel staff member will guide you to the parking lot. The hotel is located in the heart of the old town, making it convenient to go anywhere! My favorite part is the coffee bar at the hotel's back entrance—you could sit there all day! The only slight drawback is the very basic breakfast; it's a set meal per person, and the taste is just average—barely enough to fill you up!"

"Although located outside the ancient city, the inn is very close and convenient. It was quiet and clean at night. The courtyard-style building is truly unique, with easy parking. I heard it's only been open for a month and a half, so the facilities are relatively new, with air conditioning and polished wooden floors. The owner personally helped with our luggage, made us tea, and chatted with us. His service was impeccable. The room was clearly furnished with great care, including a disposable toilet seat and plenty of hot water for showering. The bathroom was small and lacked a dry and wet area, but that wasn't a problem. Great review!"

"The hotel I chose this time really gave me a big surprise!
First of all, I have to praise its location. The hotel is located in a prime location with extremely convenient transportation. The subway station and bus stop are not far away, making it very fast to travel to popular attractions or business office areas. There are also many shopping malls, restaurants and convenience stores nearby to meet various life needs. Whether you are shopping and entertaining during the day or looking for delicious food at night, you don’t have to travel far, everything is just around the corner.
The most surprising thing is its high cost performance. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy, and the layout is warm and comfortable. The bed is soft, ensuring a good sleep quality. Although the room facilities are simple, they are very practical, the air conditioning has good cooling and heating effects, the wireless network is fast, and the bathroom is very clean and tidy.
The service is also not sloppy at all. The front desk staff is warm and thoughtful, and the check-in and check-out are efficient and fast. They will also provide nearby travel guides and food recommendations. Room service was also very prompt and any requests were responded to quickly.

The hotel is in a good location. Someone from the hotel came to pick us up and introduce us to the ancient city. The stay was particularly good. The hotel has a great sense of design. I like it very much. Weishan Ancient City exceeded expectations and the accommodation experience exceeded expectations.

Lovely space in the heart of the ancient city. Though speak no Chinese they made every effort to make me comfortable. Really good stay! Note: although this claims to be a home stay, it is more like a traditional B&B in western countries. They looked at me kind of funny when I arrived with a pineapple (which Google instructed me was polite :-))

We had a great stay at the Yuan Chuang Yi Su. It's five floors, family run, low key with exceptionally well kept and outfitted rooms. We liked the location as well - within easy walking distance of all the city sites and markets, in a small side street with family run restaurants and quick access to transportation, a flavor of life away from the tourist hubbub. The owner speaks some English, and he and all the staff are extremely helpful. Nice people, nice to be around. One of our favorite stays in China. A big thank you for making our stay in Weishan so enjoyable. Absolutely recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The staff were all really friendly, helpful, and made us feel at home. The location was convenient — close to many restaurants and popular attractions! We really liked Weishan. It’s a beautiful ancient town — much less commercialized than many other places — with a charming and peaceful atmosphere.

The hotel has a good location, five minutes away from the ancient city. The parking lot is large and suitable for self-driving tours. The beautiful woman at the front desk upgraded the room. The room was large, clean and tidy, with dry and wet separation, and large hot water. There was free Yunnan arabica coffee in the rooftop garden on the sixth floor. It tasted fragrant. I stayed for three days. The grilled pork rice noodles at the breakfast shop opposite the hotel are delicious and not expensive. The Su Lao Sanyi ancient noodles and Lao Er restaurant in the ancient city are also delicious. I ate them for two days in a row. The ancient city of Weishan has few tourists and is quiet, much like the ancient city of Dali more than ten years ago. Weibaoshan is also worth a visit. It feels great to wander around the ancient city every day, and I will come again in the future.

Wonderful stay! The hotel owners thought of everything: memory foam pillows, bathrobe, snacks, drinks, mouthwash, and even a voice assistant to control the lights and AC! I booked a room with a balcony and while the room itself was a little bitsmall, the balcony was basically the same size with a great view of the old town. One of the best places I’ve stayed in China. Highly recommended!

Converted shop house into homestay inn, along the major highway outside the train station. Location is just opposite the station of about 500m. Room is spacious and clean with squat toilet. Water for bath is hot essential during the cold weather. Waking distance of about 1km to ancient town town or take electric shuttle if RMB 2 per trip.
