"Based on a friend's recommendation, I was torn between another guesthouse and Xishe, but ultimately chose Xishe. After checking in, I felt very glad I did. The entire courtyard is elegant and unique, with a beautiful environment. The guesthouse is located in the center of the ancient city, just a few dozen meters from Xinggong Tower. The guesthouse offers free shuttle service to and from the station. The rooms are decorated in a classic style, creating a cultural atmosphere. The courtyard alone is perfect for taking photos. I would definitely choose it again next time."

"It is a garden-style B&B. The entire hotel is full of plants. The environment is quiet and clean. It is located next to Chongzheng Academy of Pioneer Bookstore. It is also a must-visit place when visiting Weishan! It is only a few hundred meters away from the ancient city, and there are many restaurants, snacks and supermarkets nearby. All the staff are very friendly and warm, and the service is attentive. They provide fresh fruits, tea, tour suggestions, car rental services, and help with luggage every day. In addition to well-preserved historical buildings, rich intangible cultural heritage, and sincerity, the treasures of Weishan Warm people! It was a perfect experience!"

This is hands down the most comfortable guesthouse I've ever stayed at in Weishan Ancient City!
🌿 **Regarding the Environment:** The Wabi-sabi design truly captivated me! The entire space is clean and elegant, with thoughtful touches evident everywhere. Both the common areas and the rooms are quiet and therapeutic, making it my ideal serene retreat.
👨🍳 **Regarding the Owner's Service:** I have to give the owner a huge thumbs up! Not only did they proactively offer pick-up and drop-off service, saving me the hassle of dragging my luggage around, but they also specially hand-brewed a cup of coffee for me when I left, which was both heartwarming and a pleasant surprise. Throughout my stay, they were incredibly attentive, helping me solve any issues promptly. It felt just like visiting a friend's home.
In short, both the environment and service at this guesthouse are impeccable. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Weishan! Highly recommend it to anyone who loves peace and quiet and seeks quality experiences~"

"The price was reasonable, and the courtyard inside was quite deep. The soundproofing seemed average, but I guess it was the off-season, so you could barely hear anything at night. For this price, and with an electric blanket and air conditioning, what more could you ask for in the very center of the old town? 🤣"

"During my trip to Weishan, I stayed at the Weishan Nanzhao Courtyard Hotel. The overall experience was quite good, and I'd like to share some small details with you.
The hotel's location is fantastic, within walking distance of the ancient city, making it very convenient for getting around. There are also many unique snack shops nearby, perfect for satisfying your cravings. The quaint decor captivated me upon entering. The courtyard's carved corridors, blue tiles, and red eaves exude a sense of history, creating a sense of immersion and making for stunning photos. The room's furniture is also unique, preserving a traditional style and giving you a strong sense of cultural ambiance. The staff were also friendly, checking in quickly, and even offering to help with luggage, which was very thoughtful.
However, the hotel also has some imperfections. The room layout is a bit illogical, with insufficient space utilization, making movement a bit cramped. The lack of a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom was a particular problem. After showering, the entire bathroom was soaking wet, which was inconvenient and prone to slipping. I hope the hotel can improve this in the future.
Overall, if you don't mind these minor shortcomings and pursue a quaint accommodation atmosphere and a convenient location, this hotel is still worth staying at and can add a different color to your trip."

"The Best Accommodation
It isn't located right in the middle of the ancient town, so it isn't noisy, but it isn't far either; you can reach the center of the town with just a short walk.
Although I don't speak a word of Chinese, they welcomed me via an interpreter and introduced me to the accommodation. I was touched when they asked if I had eaten dinner since I arrived late at night, perhaps intending to treat me to some.
When I asked if there were any good places to eat nearby for breakfast, one of the brothers personally drove me to a restaurant.
They even kindly came out to see me off when I checked out.
Although it was a short 2-night, 3-day trip, Weishan Ancient Town and this accommodation were the best.
If I ever come back, I will choose this accommodation without hesitation!"

"The guesthouse boasts a prime location within the ancient city. The hostess was incredibly kind and provided a travel guide upon check-in. Following the guide, I was able to sample delicious local specialties: a bowl of mixed noodles, rice cakes with fermented soybean flour, and rice rolls (I forgot to take pictures, but the papaya vinegar was amazing!). The rooms were newly renovated and looked exactly like the pictures. The courtyard was beautifully designed, making for a very pleasant stay. I also experienced the lively atmosphere of the Weishan Food Festival!"

GGuest UserStaying four times in a row for three consecutive years, you can see the absolute affirmation of Minyue Xiaozhu! The location is excellent, one step away from the bustling ancient city; if you don't want to be too noisy, it is also very comfortable to bask in the sun, drink tea and chat in the yard. I want to move it, there is a table tennis table on the first floor, and the whole family likes it very much. By the way, the beautiful boss and family are very friendly, and the sugar water and rice cakes on the first day of the new year are very amazing!

Aallison1215The service was impeccable. I had booked a pick-up service from the high-speed rail station, and a staff member was waiting at the exit with a pick-up sign. A Mercedes-Benz van picked me up. Sometimes they even take you directly to the high-speed rail station. This is much more convenient for people who don't drive. The building is a century-old Jinshi Mansion; you could easily spend half a day exploring the hotel itself. You can also feed alpacas, see peacocks, and feed goldfish. There's also a succulent garden in the back. A newly opened café, Yunxi Cafe, has several Shiba Inus at the back entrance.

The room is comfortable, I don’t know if it’s a new decoration, but the cleanliness is real, the refreshing is also true, there are free snacks and small happy water, the children are very happy, not worth a few dollars but people feel very good ～ The location is really good, that is, not in the core old city, The house will not be so old and cramped, it is on the edge of this small ancient city, and it is also in the ancient city, and the check-in points of the park, the Confucian Temple, and the Pioneer Bookstore around the ancient city are basically covered within ten minutes. Finally, let’s talk about those bad reviews. Can you say that everyone has their own standards, some bad reviews are indeed a bit critical. FFaiza LeithTo escape the frenzy of Kunming ancient town, we took a 2.5 hr train ride to Weishan - an authentic, uncommercialized old town with the splendid Yuan Chuang Yi Su hotel.
The bed is super comfortable, and the window seat great for relaxing after a truly hot shower. Sanitized towels are delivered daily in sealed bags and CGTN for foreign guests is available on a huge TV!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su's owner is a Mensch. His fluency in English and passion for his adopted town enriched our China trip. He sensed my vegetarian needs and whisked me off to the local market!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su is the smartest, but the least expensive of our 28 day trip in Guangdong - Yunnan.
We relished the smart set-up, the gleaming interior and delightful neighborhood of eateries.
The hotel is truly a train-rider's dream: just 25 minute walk away from Weishan Railway station and 5 minutes from the inexpensive tourist buses that take you as far as Weibaoshan and East Lotus Village.

It is worth mentioning that our group arrived at 12 o'clock in the evening because of a situation on the road. The front desk lady contacted in advance to confirm the itinerary. We patiently waited for us to say that we were not in a hurry to drive safety first. We took the initiative to help us carry our luggage and solve various small problems in time. Very warm and intimate, enjoy the feeling of being at home, very good 👍👍👍

There are tons of snacks available, and the receptionist was incredibly helpful, recommending many food options and nearby attractions. The overall environment is fantastic, perfect for taking photos. The rooms are clean and tidy; although it's newly opened this year, there was no unpleasant odor, and the facilities are complete. Overall, it's a great place, highly recommended, and I'll definitely come back.

zhaoyueI really like Donglianhua Village, which has a strong Islamic style. The owner of the inn, Pony, is super handsome and enthusiastic. He invited me to have dinner. His courtyard is clean and beautiful, and the rooms are also full of ethnic style, with small horse lanterns. The caravan culture is very authentic. I feel like I am a Ma Guotou. It is very convenient to go to Weishan Ancient City from the village. There is a minibus at the entrance of the village, which goes directly to Weishan Ancient City. The bus runs every half an hour. If you catch up with the market day, you can take the minibus. Go to Dianzhong Street or Temple Street to see the rich market. There is cattle and sheep trading. It is very interesting. It is a good place to learn more about Weishan County. The people are simple and warm. I like it very much.

Room is spacious and clean with squat toilet. Water for bath is hot essential during the cold weather. Waking distance of about 1km to ancient town town or take electric shuttle if RMB 2 per trip.

The room has little to none surfaces to put your own stuff. Room had no table, I had to ask for one, and it was delivered. So at least they tried to deliver an acceptable service.
You can hear how your neighbors from all sides take shower or use toilet. Constant sound of loud running water. Sound isolation is terrible. After listening to all that for few hours, I packed my stuff and went to a nearby hotel.
Would not recommend to anyone.
