"I recently stayed at the Woodlands Hotel in the Lake District, and I was very pleased with the experience. First of all, the breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options including fresh salmon, which was a nice touch. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, giving it a homely feel. The hotel is also in a convenient location, with a nearby bus stop that makes it easy to reach the main attractions in the Lake District. Overall, it’s a great value hotel with attentive service. "Overall, it's pretty good. The decor has a bit of an American style, giving it a warm and cozy feel. The view from the window is lovely, offering a direct look at the lake. The hotel restaurant is right downstairs, and we saw many foreigners sitting there enjoying drinks. The town itself is small; you can explore most of it within a 15-minute walk, which is very convenient. There's no mini-fridge in the room, but you can ask the front desk for ice, and they'll provide a large bucket."

"Upon arrival there was nobody at the front desk so I waited. The woman I was somewhat greated by was far from pleasant and didn’t seem like she wanted to be there at all. Nothing was explained and no information leaflet for me to read through in my own time. When given my room key I started walking through the lobby but couldn’t see any signs for my room number. Went back to the desk to ask where to go for my room and was told ‘just follow it round’.
Very unhelpful and unwelcoming, not sure this lady should be at the face of the hotel.
Plus side, room was beautiful and well kept/clean. I was also lake side so got to watch the sunrise with my morning cuppa. Very refreshing views."

"The hotel was hospitable with very friendly staff however location wise it was quite far from the places I wantes to visit however it was close by to the town centre with many halal restaurant suchs as lake raj. Overall it was a pleasant stay!!!"

"This was the second time my husband and I stayed at this luxurious new resort style hotel in/near Windermere. It was part of a longer trip, and again we stayed in the posh Winander Suites keyed access building. Breakfast is great as you get to eat from both the breakfast buffet, and also order hot food from the menu. The staff here are always 10 out of 10 excellent for both in the spa and the hotel itself. A couple of them even remembered us from the year prior! It's great having so many dining and drinking options on site... one never really needs to leave. I really enjoy the keyed access for the Winander and additional for the room hallways. There is parking on site and a guard at the gate. I know we will continue to visit here for many years to come!"

HHebaodanpusaA highly recommended hotel. Thanks to the host and hostess for their warm reception. The breakfast was great. The homemade cakes were unforgettable.
Room: Bedroom suite on the second floor. The room is small, very cozy, and has a great view outside the window. Cleaning and replenishment of consumables are done every day, but slippers and other supplies are not provided. The water in the shower room in the room is not very hot, which I hope to improve.
Location: It takes more than 10 minutes to walk from the station, up and down the slope. It is about 10 minutes away from the main bus in the Lake District. It is also about 10 minutes away from the center of Windermere. The location is very quiet and quite good.
Breakfast: Very delicious, standard English breakfast, providing yogurt, juice, coffee, bread, full English breakfast, and various homemade cakes and pies. This is the most recommended place in this store, and I like the craftsmanship of the host and hostess.

Rrockylee1. The location of the hotel is very good. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the cruise ship terminal. There are many restaurants nearby and the accommodation is very convenient. The room is large and there is a living room, unexpected, but the living room side is on the bedside, next to the street, sooner or later, some noisy, especially the UK speed is generally faster, pay attention to it. Breakfast is prepared in advance bread yogurt cereal milk, some in the refrigerator, some in the locker, do not have too much expectations.
2. If you come by car, you will need a parking card with the front desk, which costs £3 a day. There are unlimited parking. There are several places to park. It is actually very convenient. When you leave, you can go to the parking lot to drive first, and put the key and parking card at the front desk when you come back.

1120631****The room was very nice, with swan bath towels. The environment was nice, between two towns, with the bus station just outside. The shop was run by a couple, the breakfast was delicious and the quantity was large, so make reservations in advance. A good stay experience.

NNailiangweimianThe scenery around the Lake District is absolutely stunning, and based on the hotel’s impressive rating (9.7 at the time of booking), we were genuinely looking forward to a pleasant and comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations.
To begin with, the shower in Room 5 was in very poor condition — the water pressure was extremely low and, more importantly, the temperature fluctuated constantly, swinging from cold to scalding without warning. It made showering frustrating and uncomfortable. A friend staying in Room 4 said their shower was acceptable, so hopefully this issue was just limited to our room.
Secondly, while we booked three consecutive nights, the weather in April after rain can be quite chilly in the Lake District. Unfortunately, the central heating in our room seemed to stop working around midnight — when we woke up cold at 1am, the radiators were lukewarm at best. We asked the host for a small electric heater, which they provided. The next day, we left the heater on while we went out for lunch, so the room would be warm when we returned. However, the host turned it off while we were out and told us we weren’t allowed to leave it on because “electricity is expensive.” This felt unreasonable — we booked the room for three nights and expected to be able to use basic appliances to ensure a minimum level of comfort. Utility costs should be part of the price, not passed on to guests indirectly like this.
Finally, the host’s attitude was hard to interpret — consistently unfriendly, which made us feel unwelcome. We couldn’t help but wonder if our Asian appearance played a part. On the day of checkout, there was no flexibility at all. At exactly 11:00am, the host entered the room to start cleaning, even though we were still in the middle of packing. It was quite surprising (and honestly, a bit shocking) to see someone come in and begin changing the sheets while we were still inside, especially when just a few minutes of grace time would not have delayed anything for the next guest, but certainly affected our impression.
All in all, if you advertise yourself as a hotel, you should operate to hotel standards. If you position yourself as a highly rated guesthouse or B&B, then please live up to the expectations that come with that score. Sadly, based on our experience, this place falls far short of the 9.7 rating it currently holds.

GGuest UserRum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself.
We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area.
Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too.
We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful.
After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks.
We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

PPriyanka BajirajThe property and the ambience is lovely. The view from the restaurant garden is very pleasant and beautiful. The room size, bathroom size and amenities were good. We faced 1 major problem to be precise which made us a bit sore.
Cleanliness - the room was clean except for the carpet. It didn’t feel like it was vacuumed. There was probably a pet staying in that room before us and there was a lot of hair on the carpet. I understand it is a pet friendly property and I have absolutely no problem with that. But cleaning the room properly before the next checkin is a basic expectation. We couldn’t step on the floor without our feet being covered with hair.
Apart from that, everything else was very good. Breakfast was also good and the customer service was very polite and hospitable as well.

我住的4號房，實際比圖片好看一些，稍微新一點，原本以為又是圖片上那種30年前那種傢俱，但實際可能就10年輕那種田園風，房間也挺大，大箱子也能展開，
服務：早上可以點餐，includ還算豐富
設施：住一樓，衹有幾步梯子需要提行李箱
缺點，一樓一定要拉窗簾，不然偶爾路過能看到房間裏，一到晚上22點後會有一股**氣味，有點受不了，房間門好像鎖不了，我也沒什麼貴重物品，也沒去問，就這樣住了3天，整體還是性價比不錯，畢竟這是在英國度假區最火的夏天，就不要有什麼大的期待，
