"The location and hygiene of this hotel is okay, except that the carpets don't seem to have been cleaned for a long time. I was most dissatisfied with a male waiter, his attitude was particularly bad, I suspect he was a ******, his attitude was really bad, I have stayed in so many places in the world in hotels and B&Bs, this male waiter's attitude was the worst, I entered the staff area is my fault, but I entered from the restaurant, there is no staff only to enter the prompts, the male waiter kicked me out like a dog, I felt I was insulted.The waiter shooed me out like a dog, I felt insulted, it seems that the quality of the British people really needs to be improved."

"A lovely stay at Woodlands – Windermere! It’s conveniently located just a 15-minute walk from the train station and another 15 minutes to Windermere Lake. The room was warm, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with a great selection of teas and cookies. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared each morning, setting us up nicely for the day. A charming place with a welcoming atmosphere"

"Although the room is not big, it is ok for three people to live. It is a little time to wash. Family hotel. The service is great. The breakfast is cooked by the store couple. It is divided into cold meals and hot meals. Cold meals do not need to be paid extra. Hot food needs to be extra money. Easy access to the lake area and commercial street"

"The Lake District is home to many beautiful B&Bs, and ours is one of them. The room even comes with cotton swabs and pads, as well as a glass jewelry box. Breakfast, ordered a day in advance, is prepared by the owner himself and is both exquisite and hearty. The only downside was that it was a bit hot during our two nights there, and there was no air conditioning. There might be a fan, but we couldn't find one..."

"Rum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself. We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too. We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful. After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks. We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny"

"Location: It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Windermere Railway Station. The way to go is downhill, and the way back is uphill. It is quite close. The accommodation is self-check-in, there is access control, no elevator, you need to carry your luggage, the highest third floor The room is quite big, health ok, hot water is a bit slow, the room has heating Hotel breakfast (8:30 ～ 9:30) is not bad, there are many choices, you can fill in the table at the door one day in advance. We needed to catch the car in advance on the last day, so that the hotel staff helped prepare breakfast on the road in advance, the service attitude was very good, praise"

"Wonderful guesthouse to stay in and visit the Lake District. Room was nice and clean ! Hosts Anita and Denis were super hospitable and friendly, and whipped up a fantastic Caribbean breakfast (Saltfish Fritters) and Full English Breakfast for us each morning :) Highly recommended for anyone who wishes to stay at Windermere !"

"A highly recommended hotel. Thanks to the host and hostess for their warm reception. The breakfast was great. The homemade cakes were unforgettable. Room: Bedroom suite on the second floor. The room is small, very cozy, and has a great view outside the window. Cleaning and replenishment of consumables are done every day, but slippers and other supplies are not provided. The water in the shower room in the room is not very hot, which I hope to improve. Location: It takes more than 10 minutes to walk from the station, up and down the slope. It is about 10 minutes away from the main bus in the Lake District. It is also about 10 minutes away from the center of Windermere. The location is very quiet and quite good. Breakfast: Very delicious, standard English breakfast, providing yogurt, juice, coffee, bread, full English breakfast, and various homemade cakes and pies. This is the most recommended place in this store, and I like the craftsmanship of the host and hostess."

"The hotel of the nature of the hotel is a bit away from the lake. It is clean to sleep at night, but you need to drive down. The hostess looked like an Eastern European, friendly, and put coffee snacks in the restaurant to use. The family was on the first floor and we unfortunately got the room on the third floor. The stairs are very steep and inconvenient. The room was very warm and the fan was too hot. The bathroom is a little smaller and can be used."
