"The hotel lobby is spacious, and the staff's English is fluent, making for a smooth check-in experience. The elevator is an old-style European gate elevator, quite narrow.
The corridors and rooms were clean and hygienic, leading to a very comfortable stay. Paying 400+ during the off-season felt like excellent value for money.
We were able to store our luggage for free at check-out and organized our bags in the lobby without any awkwardness. The lobby also has a bar where you can order a beer and relax. Overall, the experience was fantastic."

"Although the hotel is not located in the heart of the city centre, but it is not far either on foot or taxi, with good value for money.
The room is spacious and very clean with welcoming and leaving notes, adding the warmth to the stay.
The staff are friendly and helpful with first-timer's questions.
The roof-top bar is rather small and strangely located, as I have to come down to the reception and go back up the other lift.
All in all, it has been and amazing stay in the lovely town."

"Good location.
Good spread of food for breakfast.
Reception staff are courteous.
Room is dated. Air-con cannot be adjusted to warm.
Bathroom exhaust not working resulting in the dampness through. Showering in bathtub resulted in water splashing on floor as the shower partition is not effective. The hairdryer needs to be replaced as the auto shutoff comes on too quickly. The inner bottom of bathroom door has rotted.
Time to renovate and refresh the room and bathroom if you wish to command a “Premium Hotel” status."

"The room is clean, breakfast don’t have much options but is still acceptable, location is a bit far from the city center and the river side but you can go by bus to the center, the station is just in front of the hotel entrance and cost you 2.5 Euro, otherwise you can grab a uber, is also very convenient and more cheaper if you are travelling with 3-4 persons. The only thing that admired me why a lot of people choose this hotel is because they have a very big outdoor parking and is completely free of charge. I was driving a car and in Porto if you want to find a hotel with car parks is a bit difficult, if have, they need to get paid and the public car parks inside the city are extremely expensive. I did some research and this is the only hotel with the biggest car park in the area and completely free of charge, so if you are driving this hotel is the best choice. Also the staff (trainee) who helped me to do the check in is very nice 👍🏻"

"I recently spent four nights at Aparthotel Oporto Sol, and while my stay was overall okay, it came with a few drawbacks.
First, the location is a bit outside the main area of Porto, which required some extra effort to get into the heart of the city. While the surroundings were quiet and less crowded, I did find myself relying on public transport or taxis more than I would have liked.
One of the main issues was the absence of air conditioning in the bedroom. During my stay, the temperatures were warm, and it made things uncomfortable at night. Opening the windows was not an option due to the presence of mosquitoes outside, which meant I struggled to find a comfortable sleeping temperature.
On the positive side, the apartment itself was spacious and generally clean. The amenities were adequate for my needs, and the staff was friendly and helpful, albeit a few blocks over. I appreciated the kitchenette, which allowed me to prepare some of my own meals during my stay.
In summary, while my stay at Aparthotel Oporto Sol had its merits, the lack of air conditioning and its location outside the main area impacted my overall experience. If you're sensitive to heat or prefer to be in the city center, you may want to consider other options. Otherwise, it serves as a decent accommodation for those seeking a quieter spot."

"Business hotel that lack the human touch. Recep was cold and not smiling, which was a pity for such a nice hotel. Phone auto buttons not working and aircon not working too. Had to walk to recep and ask for help. Breakfast was good though"

"The hotel is located near the highway but out of the city. Little public transport available nearby. We had to, with my daughters, travel by Uber at very low cost.
The breakfast was very complete.
Being in winter, we could not take advantage of the outdoor facilities but the park looked really nice and secure.
The staff very friendly and accessible."

"Hotel Vice-Rei is about 10 minutes away. walking distance from the Casa da Música metro station, so getting to the old center of Porto with its main attractions (and the airport) is not the slightest problem. Right behind the hotel there is a very large hall with several dozen bars (restaurants) open until 24:00. So there is no problem even with a late dinner :-)
The room we occupied was large and well-equipped. The only thing missing was a cordless kettle (but that's just a detail).
First of all, the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable!
We also enjoyed breakfast. The selection may not have been amazing, but everything was tasty and fresh. There was something ”sweet” (traditionally for those from the south of Europe, i.e. sweet rolls, jam) and something ”salty” (traditionally for those from the north of Europe, i.e. cheese, cold cuts).
As for the hotel service, it was fantastic! Both at the reception and during breakfast. And the staff cleaning the rooms, who can be seen every day and make sure that your stay is also a success!
So from our experience, we recommend Hotel Vice-Rei!"

Amazing
MMar4MorAn amazing hotel! I was so impressed with the decor and the cleanliness and above all... the staff! They were pleasant, accomodating and even gave us an upgrade which was just incredible! I want to especially thank the following wonderful staff members who made our 1 night stay so special... they should be commended for their HIGH CUSTOMER ORIENTED persona! Very rare to find these days. The people I would like to thank are: Debouc, Fernando, Andre and Joao! Absolutely wonder human beings who treat customers with respect and dignity! I fould this hotel along with another one in Cascais to be TOP NOTCH when it came to hospitality! I would MOST DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to everyone I know. I pray these folks are recognized for their outstanding customer relations and hospitality! Impeccable to say the least! They deserve a raise!
Thank you to you all! Maria and Reinaldo Morais
GGuest UserOur family reserved 3 rooms and arrived on a very early flight . Jose was kind enough to get 1 of our rooms ready within an hour so we could at least wash up, rest for a bit, and refresh before going out for the day. He continued to take care of us throughout our stay with anything we needed, while being extremely kind and personal. He is an excellent representative of the quality and care the hotel offers. We also liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was nicely lit and decorated in a fun, eclectic, and relaxing fashion. Our room rate included the breakfast which was an amazing spread with much variety, highly recommend. Location was central, easy walking distance everywhere. Small disappoin**ent was lack of gym. I know we walk around alot but it would’ve nice to have the option as my husband and son like to exercise quite a bit. In addition, the TV lounge room which can be nice for teenagers/kids to use while waiting for our rooms to be ready was rather plain in terms of interior design, just gray concrete walls, as opposed to the interesting and colorful designs of the rest of the hotel. This is just an observation, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.
GGuest UserVery good hotel, but you had to ask for a toothbrush when normally hotels provide them without being asked. Be careful, the hotel records your credit card and will still charge you 3€ without your consent + the tourist tax, while in other 5 star hotels they don't do this.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is facing the side of the city hall, separated from the city hall by a street, the location is excellent, the hotel facilities are very new, the room is very beautiful, it is actually a small suite, the floor height is very high, the bedroom has a large floor-to-ceiling window (can be opened) facing the square. The surrounding restaurants, supermarkets and subway stations are very close and convenient. The only fly in the ointment is that the hotel's breakfast is extremely simple, and for those who do not order breakfast, this hotel is undoubtedly perfect.
JJinwooOne of the Best Serviced Apartments We’ve Stayed At
This was easily the best serviced apartment we’ve stayed at recently. All the facilities were brand new, and the cleanliness—especially in the kitchen and bathroom—surpassed even some 4-star hotels. Everything we needed was provided, and the interior design was excellent. The bed was also very comfortable. Great location, great price, great amenities.
Here are a few potential downsides that might matter to some guests:
• The internet was very slow. The Wi-Fi signal on the second floor was the strongest, so we used that, but it was barely sufficient for even checking emails. It felt as if the connection was intentionally throttled. If you need stable internet for work, tethering through your phone might actually be faster.
• No elevator. Our unit was located on the second floor, and we had to carry about 30kg of luggage up the stairs ourselves. Even a small, old-fashioned lift would have been a huge help.
• Noise from upstairs. Although the apartment was newly renovated, the flooring is still the original wooden structure, so noise from the upper floor can be heard. We were tired enough to sleep through it with earplugs, but sensitive guests should take this into account. Booking the top-floor unit might solve this issue, though that means climbing even more stairs.
• Early check-in confusion. We had requested an early check-in, but it wasn’t communicated properly. As a result, we had to drop off our luggage at the YOUROPO office, which is about a 6–7 minute walk from the apartment. I wonder if we could’ve left our luggage directly at the property if the message had gone through properly—perhaps someone from the team could clarify?
Despite these minor issues, I would still give this property a full 5 stars. If we visit Porto again, YOUROPO will be at the top of our list.
KKisanpi35' walk from the center, there are places around where you can park for free. Modern shops and bars area
Comfortable bed, good temperature. Well soundproofed with the window closed.
Very good and complete buffet breakfast.
RRomstarJust far enough from the busy crowded spots to feel peaceful, yet close enough to walk and or catch many different forms of transport.
We booked planning to use the Sauna and Spa after a busy days sight seeing. Unfortunately they had time Limits that didnt allow such comfort, but that just made us do more in gorgeous Porto itself. The garden are well kept, a lovely, and not so small, green space to sit and enjoy the sunshine.
Ana checked us in, she was wonderfully fun and full of so much helpful Information!! She gave us a fantastic, if not a little too ambitious itinerary for our short visit. And not one piece of advice Was wrong! Thankyou!!
The apartments are nice, they have a warm grounding vibe. Everything Was comfortable except our bed, but that is always relative to who's sleeping in it.
Well equipped for short stays, extra kitchen Equipment was available on request. But theres too many delicious options practically on your doorstep. We barely Even had coffee in our room.
I would gladly return and stay at Apartments Oporto Anselmo again. And recommend
和和哥愛你The hotel looks quite new, and the room lighting is very trendy; you can adjust many colors yourself. There are many supermarkets nearby, which is great for shopping. I stayed here for three days and was very satisfied! 100 points.
OOften TravelerClean and well-located, but AVOID the basement ‘double room’
The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and in a great location with friendly service.
However, I stayed in the basement-level ‘double room’.
It’s located at the front of the property, directly at street level, with two small windows facing the pavement — making it difficult to get fresh air or natural light, and quite noisy due to passing pedestrians and cars, even with the windows shut and earplugs in.
The photos captures many of the other room types charming features, which can be misleading for the double room in basement.
In this particular room, ventilation was poor due to its position, and a musty smell from the bathroom lingered throughout the space.
Given the price of this ‘double room’, it’s better off booking elsewhere — somewhere less charming but more practical — OR booking the other room types I assume are upper-level room to avoid the drawbacks of this front-facing basement unit.
