"I was very sceptical at first, but oh was I wrong. An absolutely wonderful authentic stay. The decoration has made it feel like I’m somewhere really cultural, enriching the whole Cappadocia experience! Though I would probably appreciate if the doors were more soundproof. I was right next to the reception and could basically hear anything, but it was luckily quiet at night. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the lady preparing it was very kind. Not to mention how the other staff were very friendly. I will definitely be coming back! Recommend 100%"

"The front desk staff were incredibly helpful! Just a heads-up, if you've booked a lower-level room, you'll need to check in at reception before heading down. We had two suitcases, and when we heard we had to go downstairs to our room, we almost fainted! 🥺 Luckily, the front desk arranged for someone to drive us down. There's also a direct staircase within the hotel that leads to the terrace. The lower-level rooms are actually great – you don't have to climb a hill back to the hotel every day, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the main streets of Göreme. Woke up in the morning, went to the terrace, and saw the hot air balloons – it was stunning!"

It was very clean, branded toiletries, slippers. The location is very convenient, the observation deck for the balls is 10 minutes away, the national park is a 20-minute walk, the bus station is 5-7 minutes away. All the infrastructure is nearby. There is a terrace with beautiful views and delicious breakfasts are served there - buffet, the choice is incredibly large: meze, vegetables, omelettes, cheeses, filter coffee, tea, sweets, fruits..) in general, the impression of staying at the hotel is 10/10"

We stayed at Divan Cave House in Göreme and didn't regret it for a second. It's a true fairytale amidst the stony streets of Cappadocia.
The hotel captivates with its cozy terraces offering amazing views. It's like a postcard in front of you: hot air balloons, rocks, and valleys. A truly soulful place where you want to linger with a cup of tea.
Special thanks to the staff. The guys are incredibly responsive. But the main gems of the hotel are the ladies – both at the front desk and in the restaurant 😍 Such a combination of beauty and humor is rare to find! It was easy and fun to chat with them; they radiated positivity from the first minute and created a homey atmosphere. Thank you for your smiles and jokes – you are the true stars of Divan Cave House!
The rooms deserve a separate description. Everything is perfectly clean. The linen is fresh, the bathroom sparkles, yet the authentic charm is preserved. No dampness or dust, which is surprising for rooms carved into rocks.

"I stayed for two nights on a family trip.
In a room with a wide 々, I still had room for four people to stay and spread two suitcases.
The location was good because it was a short walk on a slope overlooking the center of Goreme.
I asked the hotel for a pick-up service from the airport. It was cash payment for 10 euros per person.
I think the amenities had a small shampoo rinse body shampoo, but I didn't know the bottle character was disappearing, so I used what I brought. There was no toothbrush, slippers, refrigerator, or PET bottle water.
Breakfast is from 9 o'clock, so I was able to come back from the balloon experience and eat it. Buffet style of bread, cheese and vegetables, and drinks were chai. The bread was crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside.
I wanted to stay at the cave hotel, so I had a good experience."

"Hands down, a five-star review! The biggest surprise of this trip was meeting such a thoughtful owner. Seriously, the best hotel owner in the world!!! We arrived in Cappadocia at 5 AM, and the temperature difference was significant. The owner, worried we'd be cold, let us check in a full 8 hours early. That was incredibly heartwarming and considerate!!! The owner was warm and polite, making conversations comfortable and easy. Any questions we had were answered meticulously. The room was spotlessly clean, the environment was quiet and comfortable, and all the amenities were well-stocked. "I had to sit in the lobby for 3 hours as the hotel would not give me early check-in. They said it was fully booked but I hardly saw many guests in the lobby and at breakfast. I got a crappy room which was rather hot and the window could not close properly. There are cats prowling around the hotel. One guest complained that a stray cat got into the restaurant and jumped on her table. She got scratched and had to get 4 doses of rabies injections.Tge breakfast was also average. I ordered an eggplant soup on my first night and it was cold and not tasty. The bread came with no butter and was cold."

"This hotel is owned by Royal Balloon, and it's where their hot air balloon tours depart. Staying here also gets you a €60 discount per person on their balloon rides, which is why we stayed for a day. The hotel is located at the very end (lowest part) of the town, so the location isn't ideal. However, the town is tiny, and it's only a ten-minute walk to the center. You can see hot air balloons from the rooftop terrace, but the view is definitely not as good as from the cave hotels situated higher up. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were better than those in the cave hotels. It was also spacious enough for four people, and the breakfast was plentiful. The biggest advantage is the great value for money. If you plan on taking a hot air balloon ride with Royal Balloon, I highly recommend staying here – you can wake up at least half an hour later!"

"Not really a cave room but still we had such an amazing time here. The staff were friendly and the room was stunning, although it could use a brighter lightbulb. The bath was a great addition to relax after long days of sightseeing. While breakfast was a little basic it was really nice and the views from the restaurant are stunning. Perfect location as well right in the centre but not surrounded by the noise and a great view of the balloons if you get up early enough."

"This was a wonderful hotel! The room was clean, and the bathroom facilities were spotless. It was so lovely to be comforted by the cats and dogs at the hotel. The hotel staff were incredibly kind, even helping me book my overnight bus. If you have large luggage, definitely ask the staff to help you with it. The service was super good. You can book hot air balloon rides, horse riding, ATVs, and various other activities through the staff. If you have WeChat, remember to add them!

Sonia RaphaelWe booked 2 nights at the Hira Cave Hotel. Omar and Mehdi took care of all our requests during our stay! The property is beautiful, rooms are well maintained and the location is at the perfect vantage point to experience beautiful views (from their rooftop).
📱 They reached out to us before checking in to give us information about the hot air balloon booking, various other tours and helped us arrange an airport shuttle - this was all via whatsapp.
They even helped us organise a taxi late at night to go into town / as well as back to the hotel.
🛜 WiFi is good here! There were also no issues with connectivity with 4G/5G ✅
🚪 Initially we had booked the ‘Arch Room’(which has windows), but upon arrival in the evening, we were given the Deluxe Cave room (smaller & no windows). I believe it was an honest mistake, and once we pointed it out, Mehdi took us to see the other available rooms and we ended up choosing the Queen Room w/Jacuzzi. I really appreciate that he did this, and the problem was solved on the spot!
🛁 The Queen room is beautiful and spacious, and the bathroom is massive! It has a Jacuzzi that fits 2 people!
Water pressure in the shower is great, and basic amenities were provided in the bathroom.
🌬️ There is aircon in the room, however it wasn’t as cooling as we had hoped. There was also a glitch where it kept switching off after about 30 min and then showed us an error. So we had to keep turning it back on - which was a bit inconvenient 🤷🏻♀️.
The issue was brought up during checkout, and they said they will be looking into it. 👍🏼
🍽️ They have a breakfast terrace that is covered yet has a STUNNING panoramic view of the whole town of Göreme. They had a delicious spread of food which was freshly made, clean & healthy! They were also able to make scrambled eggs on request.
Overall, our experience here was great. We felt taken care of, and it’s safe to say we made a good choice staying here!

LiltemptThe service at Sah Saray Cave Suites was also exceptional. The staff were extremely warm, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire stay. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and were always ready to assist with recommendations, transport arrangements, and anything else we needed. Their hospitality really made the experience even more enjoyable.
Another huge advantage of the hotel is its excellent location. It is conveniently within walking distance to the centre of Göreme Town Centre, making it very easy to explore local restaurants, cafes, shops, and attractions without needing transport all the time.
Overall, Sah Saray Cave Suites is an amazing place to stay for anyone visiting Cappadocia. With its gorgeous scenery, authentic cave-style rooms, excellent service, and convenient location, it truly made our trip special and memorable.

Roman TregubI really liked this hotel; the cave hotel concept is perfectly executed. The location is excellent, the room has all the necessary amenities, and the rooftop offers a great view for watching the balloons at sunrise. Breakfast is a standard buffet: vegetables, eggs, sausages, and a large variety of sweets and fruits. The only downside is the lack of windows, which causes a slight, but not critical, musty smell. The staff's service was outstanding – we had a plumbing issue which was resolved within an hour, and afterwards, they brought a fruit platter to our room as an apology. They also provided wine glasses for us to use outside the hotel in the evening, as per our request. Even though there were many guests during our stay, we didn't hear any noise in our room. Overall, for its price, the hotel fully delivers on quality and service.

A big shoutout to Darina, Yunus & all the rest who has helped us so attentively & replied to our messages whenever they can! One thing I would change about my trip is to make all my bookings with them! They actually have a list of vendors they worked with & in house tours which we can signed up for. We went for the Breakfast Tour & the Hammam at their sister’s hotel, both of it we absolutely loved. We would also like to commend Shams’ hospitality in guiding us on the Breakfast Tour, making our stay in Cappadocia such an enjoyable & restorative one ❤️

Nice hotel. Location is good. Room is nice. Staffs are nice. You can ask the staff for booking Hot air balloon flight. We did ATV for sunset tour, it’s very nice. The location is the best. Also can go upstairs to see the hot air balloons if you decided not to get on.

Avlu Cave Hotel is a quaint famiily-owned hotel of about 8 rooms. It is conveniently located 3-4 minutes from the Goreme center.
During our stay, we received first class service from the manager, Jan, and his assistant, Naji. Within minutes of arriving at the hotel, Jan offered breakfast. The buffet of traditional Turkish breakfast and some continental items was beautifully laid out in their breakfast room. I did not think we had breakfast on arrival day, but I was thankful for this generosity as we left Istanbul so early and were ready for a good meal.
In no time also, Jan and Naji, who were really very hospitable, filled in with activities our incomplete tour plan. They made arrangements for the horseback riding sunset ride, the hot air balloon ride, and one of the tours. They also arranged earlier our airport pickup and later, transport to the airport.
The room we occupied had a balcony and we made good use of it to soak in Goreme in between our outings. Avlu Cave Hotel provided us the perfect homey ambiance that we wanted to experience in Cappadocia. This is an ideal place for solo travelers, couples, as well as families.

This hotel is a sister property to Sultan Cave Suites, sharing facilities, but Aza offers significantly better value! The rooms are larger, have better views, and even come with their own pools. Crucially, it's much quieter than Sultan – Sultan's front-facing rooms can be noisy due to the restaurant and bar, whereas Aza is completely peaceful, ensuring a good night's sleep. If you value quiet, this is the place to be. (Sometimes you can hear hallway noise when people enter the room next door, but overall it's quiet. However, the stairs can be challenging for elderly guests).
The breakfast is incredibly generous, with the scrambled eggs and beef being a must-try. The food is plentiful and satisfying. If you want to see the hot air balloon sunrise, you can head directly to Sultan's observation deck for photos – you get the best of both worlds. The hotel's recommended excursions are a bit pricey; I suggest booking through a restaurant owner in town for much better deals.
The SPA experience was a wonderful surprise – professional techniques and just the right amount of pressure. It offers far better value than other places in town and is my top pick for relaxation.
What was most heartwarming was that my non-refundable booking dropped in price upon arrival, and Trip.com proactively refunded the difference. The hotel even upgraded me for free to a suite with a fireplace! A staff member kindly helped chop wood and start the fire. Listening to the sound of wood chopping in the courtyard and watching the warm glow of the fire in the room truly enhanced the cave accommodation experience – it was unforgettable.
The cave room was very comfortable, the pool view was absolutely stunning, and the overall experience was perfect. If you're coming to Goreme, you can't go wrong with this place!

Rinaldo Ferlin (Ray Ferlin)The place was clean, warm in a great location. Since I got a bad weather and stayed in the room I can say that the only thing that bugs me is the tv has only turkish channels. This is a factor to be improved due to turkish language has no similarities with English and being hard to understand. I guess because I choose the most cavely room the internet signal was weak and it was difficult to connect. Other than that I want to express my gratitude with the staff that was great.

The room was large and spacious, with a bay window where you could lean back and enjoy the view. The terrace offered stunning views, and the breakfast was plentiful. The hotel is located halfway up a hill, an 8-10 minute walk from the town center and a 30-minute walk from Love Garden, the best spot for hot air balloon observation.
