Very nice hotel. Better than expected location due to some error on Google Maps. Within 5 mins to Nanjing Pedestrian Street.
The receptionist is very courteous. Friendly.
The room is clean. Spacious. Guest Laundry can be crowded due to some inconsiderate guests. Unlimited supply of bottled water from reception. Bathroom glass door a bit awkward because it is semi-tinted (semi see through 😅)
Will come back to this hotel if I return to visit Shanghai.

Great location, right at the ever popular Nanjing East Pedestrian Street. The front desk staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying at the spacious comfortable and clean family room. Our initial complaint about slow flowing wash basin was IMMEDIATELY attended to. Kudos to the front desk staff👍 In addition, we got to enjoy the cocktail and snacks at the Executive Lounge in the evening. Definitely a great place to stay in Shanghai.

This place was okay, I would not book here again. It is definitely in a good spot right downstairs is Nanjing road so you have alot of shopping and food halls right outside your room.
Staff is super friendly and very helpful especially the cleaning staff. Made sure we got water atleast once a day and would ask us if we need new towels if they saw us.
Depending on where they put you, you may end up having to take a pretty far walk to your hotel room.
You’ll need to take an elevator up to the main lobby and depending on the room you will need to take another elevator up. But if you are on an floor higher then 6 be prepared to hike to your room most inconvenient part of the stay to be honest.
The room also has an AC, Heater option you can set which is very handy and a window that can open partially.
The room was overall nice and clean but the compliments stop there, as the room is way to dim especially the bathroom cant really see much in there and it is also very tiny you can barely move in there. You literally cannot close the door if you’re standing at the sink or sitting on the toilet.
The shower drain also has a bad smell like sewer pipes that come up when youre using the shower and it takes awhile for it to go away. The shower pressure was okay until my 3rd day there and when I showered the water pressure was non existent and limp even tho the water is being poured on my body the pressure was so low it didnt even feel like anything was hitting me. At one point the pressure dropped to 0 and it was trickling out the shower head. The next morning though it was back to normal so not sure what happened. The shower area also floods the bathrooms as we had 3 rooms and all rooms had some form of flooding post shower. And 1 was really bad. Which we complained about and they gave us another room.
They also had a laundry room with 3 small washers and 3 small dryers not ment for bulk washing, and also free detergent. The washer was good but the dryer… unless you are ready to hang dry your clothes do not wash your clothes here as we ran the clothes in the dryer for 2-3 hrs and the clothes were still damp. And when we asked the staff they told us the dryer only dries enough for it to stay damp and you will need to air dry the rest which is ridiculous. Why have a dryer when it doesn’t do what it’s meant to do? Make it make sense.
Overall besides location and friendly staff there is definitely better locations to choose from. I would not stay here again.

The room was very clean and the location was super convenient. The main thing is that the tomb was exceptionally good, the room was very quiet, and I had a comfortable stay. The breakfast had a great variety. I'll definitely come back on my next trip.

The hotel is close to The Bun and within walking distance. The room is clean, but the soundproofing isn’t great , you can sometimes hear people talking or doors opening and closing. The Wi-Fi signal is available, but you need to be near the window to get it (and our window faced another building). However, the signal is always strong in the lobby. The lobby lights are turned off at midnight.
One small downside is that the staff didn’t manage outsiders who weren’t staying at the hotel but came in to enjoy the air-conditioning and charge their devices. Other than that, the staff were very helpful. We arranged for a car pickup at the hotel (note that the hotel has multiple branches, so be careful when giving the location). Luckily, the staff helped communicate with the driver for us.

I was impressed with this hotel, all the staffs are friendly. They always say 你好 every time. And when I was staying there it's corresponding to my birthday, I'm outside all day and when I'm back to my room I saw a little cake and the candle with a Happy Birthday's note on the table. I really appreciated what they do so much and the cake was delicious.
And when I checked out they give me a beautiful hand cream and thank you note again.
So I will definitely be back again.

Great location just near Najing Road, which is great for shopping, walking and eating. When we arrived, our rooms were not yet ready, even we arrived long after check-in time. However, Iris was kind to upgrade our room and inform us through WeChat when the rooms were ready for us to go in.

The hotel room was rather comfortable, and the location was located nicely in a very busy prime area. I also like that the sink area was outside the room, so it was easy for everyone to get ready at the same time. Area was very strategically located, and was a short walk away from the Metro. Also had a few dining areas around the place, and good shopping areas. Short walk away from the bund.
The only feedback given was that the room toilet had a little bit of a sewage smell, and the staff promised to look into it when we check out for future experience.

We stay here for 2 nights, arrived at midnight due to flight delay and there’s staff at the reception to help me with the check-in and other assistance. The room is clean and spacious enough to open the 28” luggage. 2 adults and 1 toddler can sleep well.

I was traveling solo and on a budget, so I chose Dayin Youth Hostel. After my stay, I found it to be affordable and great value for money, perfectly meeting my needs. First off: the location is excellent, with convenient transportation. Dayin is less than 200 meters from Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and about 300 meters from People's Square Metro Station. It's also very close to major attractions, usually just 2 or 3 metro stops away, which is incredibly convenient!
The room environment was quite clean. The sheets and duvet covers were individually packaged, clean, and ironed. Although I had to make the bed myself, which was a little extra work, it gave me peace of mind. Upon check-in, you receive disposable sheets and slippers. The room comes with a lockable locker, which is a huge plus, and the bed curtain provides excellent blackout, ensuring great privacy! The common areas are spacious and well-equipped.
The public restrooms and shower rooms are well-maintained. The makeup mirror in the public restroom is large, and the toilets and showers are separate, with plenty of stalls, so waiting is rarely an issue.

Excellent
IIsabella AugustineFirstly, I have to begin this review by highlighting the impeccable care and attention provided by the staff at Opartment. I’ve been so impressed that it’s still on my mind even days after leaving the city.
This trip was particularly special for me. I’ve visited Shanghai many times for work and have always loved the city, so this time I decided to bring my family along to experience it together. Choosing to stay at Opartment truly made the trip even more special and memorable and a big part of that is thanks to Ben.
Throughout our stay, Ben exceeded every expectation with his great care and attention. His professionalism, warmth, and thoughtful gestures made us feel genuinely valued as guests. Ben demonstrated an extraordinary standard of hospitality that’s hard to come by. His sincerity and dedication left a lasting impression on our entire family, and for that, we are truly grateful.
My heartfelt thanks also go to Candy and her front desk team, who were incredibly kind and helpful. They went beyond their usual duties helping us arrange shipments, place orders through local apps we weren’t familiar with, and always doing so with patience and a smile. And also not forgetting the gentlemen at the hotel entrance always greeting us with friendly smiles and on rainy days using an umbrella to bring us to our car at the pick up point.
In terms of service, I’ve stayed in several hotels in Shanghai, but honestly, this has been the best experience I’ve ever had here.
The room was spacious, well arranged, and simply beautiful, a space that felt both elegant and cozy. I especially recommend the suites with a balcony and city view! standing there and feeling the cool breeze, especially in autumn was such a joy. The bed was very comfortable, and I later discovered from the leaflet that guests can even choose their preferred type of pillow. That said, I slept wonderfully with the ones provided by default.
I also appreciated the thoughtful details - complimentary detergent capsules for the washing machine, a hair dryer that’s even better than Dyson, and Byredo toiletries that add a luxurious touch. Every aspect of the room reflected meticulous attention to detail.
Overall, my stay at Opartment was nothing short of exceptional. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to anyone visiting Shanghai.

Very Good
GGuest UserPros:
Excellent location, right next to Xinzha station on Line 2.
Smart rooms were a nice touch, with some amenities (e.g. curtains, TV) controllable by voice via 小度在家 (XiaoDuZaiJia Smart Display). Room is also equipped with smart toilet.
Bathtub is spacious, and water pressure in the shower is strong.
Mixed:
The 2 washing machines and 2 dryers seem to be overused for a relatively new hotel. There was often a crowd, and at times, piles of unwashed clothes left in the laundry room. Guests would remove other guests' laundry from the washers and dryers as soon as they finished.
The parcel management system could be more efficient. While I appreciate that the hotel helps receive parcels and take-out, the receptionists often took a long time to locate packages, even if they had just arrived. Unlike some other hotels, the staff doesn’t automatically deliver take-out via the robot, although you can request.
Cons:
Staff were mostly friendly and helpful, but the biggest issue we encountered was on the last night when cigarette smoke smell started coming into our room. Despite closing the windows, the smell unexpectedly worsened. When my husband returned to the room after being out for a while, he also noticed the strong smell compared to the air outside the room. We contacted the front desk via WeChat, and a staff member came to inspect the room. He claimed not to smell cigarettes but mentioned that his nose might still be blocked from being sick. When asked for an air purifier, we were told they used to have them but not anymore, and that the 快递 (courier) had not arrived. The staff offered to move us to another room the next day if one became available, but we were checking out in the morning (and also highly doubt that the hotel was at full occupancy). When asked if the neighbouring rooms were smoking rooms, the staff said they would not know whether guests smoked in them. This was annoying since we were traveling with an infant and had specifically booked a non-smoking room. The staff only offered a diffuser to mask the smell, which does not address the real issue...
All in all, despite having an otherwise pleasant stay, I cannot recommend this hotel, especially with many other hotels in Shanghai and new ones popping up all the time.

MM652762****Facilities: Almost everything you need is there, it's just that the room is a bit small, otherwise it's fine. Hygiene: Clean and hygienic. Environment: Pretty good. Service: The service is good; due to the room being too small, I canceled the last two days, and the hotel understood.

HHuangyiWe stayed at a hotel apartment with my child during the summer break. We chose the nearby Plus Hotel, which has a great location. The soundproofing was excellent, so it was completely quiet. Our loft room was very spacious and had ample storage. Overall, it offered excellent value for money. We'd definitely prioritize staying here again if we visit the Bund in the future.

AAnxiangyingxiu_LeeThe location of the hotel is easy to find, there are many hotels nearby, it is convenient to eat, and the bathroom has plenty of hot water. The advantages are all there. Other shortcomings such as sound insulation, facilities, and washing supplies can be forgiven because of the price.
