"The hotel is old but in a very good condition. Service is very welcoming and with a incredibly high level of English language proficiency. Location is rather quiet (there’s a shuttle but you better set with your car or bike) but with a great beach. Good food at the dinner restaurant and plentiful breakfast. Sand fleas is an issue. We’ve got some bites. Good value for money."

"We had an unfortunate experience at the Centara Koh Chang Tropicana Resort. Upon returning to our room, we discovered that a chargeable can of soda was missing from the mini-fridge, along with three towels. Luckily, we noticed it in time and informed the front desk. Otherwise, it would have been difficult to clarify the situation during check-out. It would have caused a lot of trouble if they found missing items after we'd checked out, despite us stating we hadn't consumed anything. We later saw reviews for several other hotels where some guests had similar experiences. We were fortunate to have noticed it early and avoided being wrongly accused. The garden rooms at Centara are very far from the beach. The beach itself is small, and the seabed is rocky and uncomfortable to walk on. The beach chairs are often fully occupied. The hotel's price-to-value ratio is very low and doesn't meet the expectations for a beach holiday. The mysteriously missing soda and towels only make us question the hotel's management and service quality even further. If you absolutely must stay here, I strongly advise everyone to thoroughly check all chargeable items in your room upon arrival, preferably taking photos for confirmation. Also, take videos or photos when you check out. Always lock your luggage when you leave the room, and when you return, double-check that all chargeable items are still present to avoid any issues."

"The entire hotel is constructed from timber, and the overall decor style is very consistent. The only drawback is that the beach is quite small, but there are plenty of other places to explore, and it's very comfortable to just relax at the hotel. Right at the hotel entrance, there's a service point where you can sign up for island hopping tours, and I also got my laundry done there, 65 baht per kilogram. There's a 7-Eleven right outside, and a nice restaurant called Mango Tree. The room itself is quite spacious, and the bathroom is very large and comfortable. There's an electric mosquito repellent in the room, but I barely encountered any mosquitoes. The area outside the room is designed to look like a tropical rainforest, and it even rains occasionally. The pool right outside the room is a bit shallow, but there's a larger public pool in the common area. Every evening at 6 PM, there's a torch-lighting ceremony by the pool, followed by marshmallow roasting. Breakfast was quite substantial. Many people queued for coffee, and there were noodle and egg stations. The Thai stew was delicious. There's an intern named Mon who speaks Chinese, and she was incredibly helpful to us. I went to her for everything, and she was always very enthusiastic to assist. She told me her Chinese teacher gave her the Chinese name 'Xiangling' (香菱), and I suggested she break ties with that teacher!"

"Stayed here for 5 nights. Such a pleasure to spend time in Koh Chang at KC. The staff were so friendly and thoughtful. The barman at the rooftop bar was so friendly and kind too. We arrived at 7am and we were still allowed to enjoy the pool and sunbed amenities while we waited for check-in at 2pm. The breakfast was lovely. Something for everyone. Location is perfect. 7-Eleven, bike rental, pharmacy, restaurants - all right next to the hotel. The beach front is also really lovely and it's easy to spend the whole day by the pool and beach front. It's the perfect place if you're looking for a one-stop holiday."

"I don't understand why this hotel has so many good reviews, but I want to write honestly, as someone who has worked in tourism for 20 years and seen a lot. The hotel definitely doesn't live up to its category. The biggest downsides are: there's no sea, the tide is very low every day, so you definitely can't swim here, and the knee-deep water that comes in in the afternoon smells like fish, and even while you're sitting at breakfast, there's a very unpleasant fish smell. But if you want, there's a shuttle that takes you to a good beach several times a day. The pool is dirty with green water; I was snorkeling, and there were tons of hair and sand at the bottom. The water doesn't circulate. In the morning, they pour two buckets of chlorine to disinfect the pool, and then it turns blue for a short while. The hotel rooms are large and comfortable, but tired. The tiles and plumbing need replacing. There were a lot of ants and cockroaches in the room. When we reported them, a worker came to exterminate them and treat them with ant repellent. On the plus side, the room has a large TV with YouTube access, a refrigerator, a tea station, a comfortable bed, and daily cleaning and towel changes. Peacocks roam the grounds (but that's not the main reason to come here). Breakfast is modest; there's a coffee machine with real coffee, pancakes, omelets like everywhere else, sausages and ham, and fruit. There were no yogurts or cheeses, and the juices were watered down. A lot of the equipment in the gym is broken. It depends on your preference, but for me, the sea and pool are key features in a place like this, so I wouldn't go back. There are plenty of cheaper and better options on the coast."

"Cleaning service is provided twice a day. The service from the front desk to the restaurant to the cleaning is very good. The hotel is not big, the environment is very clean, the restaurant is on the beach, and dinner with the sunset view is worth it even if it is a little expensive."

"The overall experience was alright, but the facilities need some care. The water park is old and some of the slides are breaking down, they don’t look safe. The hotel is divided in two areas, one across the road and one by the beach. If you are staying across the road you can’t use the pool from the beach side, which is a bummer and a big downside. Would check other places first."

"We stayed at The Dewa Koh Chang hotel for a special holiday, firstly to be honest our experiense didn't start perfectly. However, what happened next completely transformed our holiday and the sincere reason for this 5-star review! The staff at this hotel are nothing short of exceptional! Their of client-oriented service didn't just fix the issues - it exceeded all our expectations. The room, breakfast buffet, massage, pool area, evening shows - everything was perfect!
