"After traveling around the world for over 12 years, I've become very selective of where I choose to stay. I enjoyed Aryatara Kathmandu Hotel so much that I extended my stay an additional week. The rooms are clean and comfortable, hot water showers, cold AC when needed, and free internet. Some stays even offer a complimentary free buffet breakfast. There's also a travel desk to help you with booking excursions. The location is ideal for exploring local cafés, pubs, local landmarks and restaurants, all within walking distance. The staff are very professional and personable, and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel."

"The hotel is located about a 10-15 minute walk from Thamel, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling city center of Kathmandu. Its beautifully landscaped garden is a particular highlight. A minor drawback is the heavy traffic on the road to central Thamel, making the walk quite tiring. However, even if you don't venture into Thamel, the hotel's F&B offers relatively reasonable prices for the quality, and dining in the garden's outdoor seating area was a particularly impressive experience. It was a shame that the fitness center was under renovation and unavailable. The cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms were exceptional, even by developed country standards. Overall, I would rate this as a very good hotel."

"First of all, I'd like to thank the manager, Kamal. I initially canceled my reservation due to riots in Kathmandu, but then rebooked after hearing that the city was beginning to calm down. He always provided me with the latest information and made excellent arrangements after the rebooking. The rooms were spacious, connecting, and had a bathtub. The hot water was powerful and the air conditioning was also excellent. This type of room was the only one with a refrigerator. However, the noise from the restaurant above was very loud on the sixth floor, so I recommend staying on the fifth floor or lower. The beds were available in soft double and firm single sizes. It's a matter of preference, but I found the softer ones bothersome, like the person next to me tossing and turning. If you want a good night's sleep, it's better to request a twin room. There's a water dispenser in the hallway, so you can refill your water as often as you like using the bottles in your room. Most of the reception staff spoke English and were very helpful and provided a variety of information. However, I did feel that hospitality varied depending on the person. There is a laundry service, but the hotel charges per item, so I recommend using one of the many nearby shops that cost 200 rupees per kilo. The rooftop terrace restaurant has a great view and the food is delicious. However, I'm not a big fan of the spices used in Nepalese food, so I found Indian curry to be better. The breakfast buffet 🍽 was slightly changed every day and was delicious. The restaurant staff were also very hospitable and lovely. The location is great, just south of Thamel. It's within walking distance of Durbar Square and Asain Market, and there are convenience stores, markets, and restaurants nearby, so it was a very convenient location. For this price, it's of this quality. I'm sure there are many other options, but if we come again, we'll definitely book here!"

"Lakhey Hotel is the best hotel in Kathmandu! The staff are super friendly, check-in is very easy, and they always help me get a taxi. They offered a welcome drink, which was lovely. The boss speaks excellent Chinese and even arranged a trek for me—very satisfying! Hot water is great, breakfast is delicious, and their Sichuan restaurant has amazing food (must try!). After my EBC trek, I stayed here again because I missed Chinese food. Location is nice, rooms are big—I stayed in room 1108 with a beautiful Kathmandu city view. Highly recommend to everyone. "One of the best choices to stay in KTM, start from security guys at the entrance always great service greeting with smile, the girl at the front desk also friendly and helpful. Just staff at the rooftop need to improve service as we went there twice and no one is there which we will have to walk around to find them. Overall good like the room is new and functional. Breakfast is good as well, Worth for the money to stay here!!!"

"A beautiful and charming boutique hotel with exceptional hospitality. We received a warm welcome, including a traditional bindi greeting, which made us feel special right away. The rooms were clean, tastefully designed, well-maintained, and had good water pressure. Service throughout the stay was excellent. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. With low occupancy, it was served à la carte with a wide range of options. We ordered several items, and every dish was delicious and well-prepared. Special mention to Gunjan at the restaurant for his outstanding service, attentive, warm, and professional. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable, welcoming, and high-quality stay in Kathmandu."

"The bed is very small and the room is very crowded. The photos on the website look big and bright, but it is not. The curtains on my bed are torn and the shielding is not very good, but there is a beautiful restaurant on the top floor, which is my favorite!"

"The hotel is nice with friendly hospitality. It’s brand new and everything in the room is very clean! That’s rare to find in Nepal especially with any budget hotel. One only complaint is about the noises from street at night. Better bring earbuds if you’re a noise sensitive person like me. Except for this everything is perfect! The location is near Swayambhu but away from the commercial area, which is perfect to me. You could ask the front desk to hire a moto through indrive to the monkey temple site. It will take less than 10 minutes to be there."

"Royal Atlantic Home was a very nice hotel. We had a room in the 4th floor with a balcony that was very nice to sit there and have your breakfast or coffee. Our stay was including a basic breakfast with coffee. The people working in the hotel were very helpful and polite. They helped us with our luggage as there is not a lift and they answered all of our questions. They even helped us with our city tour and it was amazing. Noris, our driver was very good! He took us 2 full days around kathmandu and he was waiting patiently always. Thank you for everything!"
