Hotels in Shilin Night Market, Taipei

The room was great, very clean, and the front desk staff were really welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, and the location is super convenient for transportation – easy to get to the station, and great for shopping and dining. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I visit.

Although it's a self-service hotel, the cleaning staff was very friendly, and the amenities were restocked faster and easier than expected. Transportation is undoubtedly convenient. This time, I went to see an exhibition at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, which was accessible via the Tamsui Line. After strolling around Yongkang Street, I returned from Dongmen Station, also taking the Tamsui Line. I was delighted.

The benefits are the location, which is quite close to Shilin night market and Jiantan MRT station, and the fact that the homestay is clean and seemingly renovated recently. The price, of course, is also low compared to many other options. Overall i think its good value for money for Taipei. However, I do want to note that during my stay the other people staying in the room above me were very noisy, even until 3 am in the morning, and I could hear them quite clearly through the walls. As a result I did not sleep well. This unfortunately affected the quality of my stay, although it is not due to the ”hotel” itself but more due to the other guests. It is too bad that some people are not considerate of others when staying in such a small and crowded space, but perhaps these kinds of homestays attract these kinds of guests. Perhaps the owners can consider adding some more sound proofing materials to the walls and floors.

This is my first time stayed with this Hotel, I like the hotel are quiet n cozy, staffs are friendly, nice location, a bit of walking distance to station....

This hotel is conveniently located just across the road from Jiantan MRT station exit 1. You are 1 min from the MRT station. The reception is friendly and welcoming. Though the room size is small, everything is well designed in such a way that it feel bigger as everything you need from luggage stand, mini bar, safe box is all easily accessible. Even though my room is on level 3 directly facing the MRT track, the sound proofing is so good that I don’t even hear the train passing.  The room is very clean and bed is firm and comfortable. Air coning is strong if you set it to low temperature. It worked well.  The breakfast is average.

This place offers excellent value for money, includes breakfast, and boasts a fantastic location. Shilin Night Market and the Taipei Performing Arts Center are just a short walk away. The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast spread was quite varied and substantial. However, there were a couple of minor hiccups. One morning, some students mistakenly knocked on our door, thinking it was their room. Additionally, housekeeping staff mistakenly thought we had checked out on two separate occasions, which was a bit disruptive. Breakfast hours are also quite restrictive, only from 7 AM to 9 AM. Despite these small issues, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Conclusion: Would definitely stay again! The hotel is super convenient, just a short walk from MRT Jiantan Station Exit 2. Despite its proximity to the station, the soundproofing was excellent; we barely heard any outside noise, and the in-room soundproofing was equally impressive. Pros: The room was beautiful and spacious. The bathroom had a TV, and the shower facilities were very comfortable; bathrobes were also provided. A JBL Bluetooth speaker was conveniently placed next to the bed. The TV's speakers were also of good quality, though it was a slight bummer that it couldn't connect to YouTube. The minibar was well-stocked with complimentary soft drinks (Coke, Sprite, etc.), and there was a capsule coffee machine and even a microwave! Beyond the standard amenities, the room offered numerous thoughtful extras that felt like pleasant surprises, such as small pouches to take home unused soap. Cons: Our first impression was slightly marred when we tried to call the front desk with a query, but the phone rang for a long time without an answer. The room key card was problematic; even after we got a replacement, it was still difficult to get it to register (we didn't bother reporting it again), leading to some frustrating moments trying to open the door.

Stayed in this hotel 5 days 4 nights. Room was good, quiet big space for 2 pax. However, I can hear clearly conversation from the next room, there is no soundproof panels installed between the rooms. When others open and close the door, I can hear too, some guest just bang the door very loud. Location quiet good, 5 to 10 min walking distance from Jiantan MRT, then 8 to 10 min walking to Shilin Night Market

The room is beautiful, clean and tidy, the toilet space is large, the overall room space is quite large, and the sound insulation is also very good! The toilet has heating, which is very good and the shower gel and shampoo are very good and taste great! And you can reserve a parking space by phone, the parking lot is not small, very convenient! The service staff is also very kind and friendly. It is very close to Shilin MRT Station. There are a lot of food nearby!

It's a basic hotel so don't expect a lot of amenities. Despite that they get the basics absolutely right! What surprised us was that they provided some bread and fruits for breakfast and also tea and bottled water in the room. The room is very clean and very functional! The shower area is spacious. It is located right next to the metro and just a short walk away from many food stores. Our only regret is we wished we stayed longer. The staff are friendly and helpful too. We would book this the next time if we come back to Taipei.
