"This hotel is excellent! The location is super easy to find and very close to the city center. At night, we strolled along the Two Rivers and Four Lakes and even saw the Sun and Moon Pagodas, all within walking distance, less than 1km away. The famous Chunji Roast Goose restaurant is also less than 1km from here, everything is accessible on foot. You can also rent electric scooters, so transportation is incredibly convenient. The common areas of the hotel are decorated very warmly and are very comfortable to sit in during the evening. They even offer free traditional ethnic clothing and headwear for guests to borrow, which is perfect for taking photos. The manager, a lovely lady, has decorated the place immaculately and is always smiling. She even gave us tips on how to explore Guilin. The room itself is exactly like the pictures, very spacious and clean, with a cozy, homey feel. After a day out, it's really comfortable to come back and relax. The hot water is consistent and heats up quickly. If you spend some time in the hotel's common area, you might even spot a cat! The bed is very comfortable."

"We had a beautiful stay at Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel! The hotel is beautiful, well equipped with everything we needed - fresh water and towels everyday, option to chose between Chinese and Western breakfast and delicious fruits.
Xiaoming was so nice to give us the e-bikes to drive around Guilin for free and we enjoyed using them a lot!
If we had any questions about the area or needed a ticket for the li yang river cruise he immediately took care of it for us.
We had also had a pickup from the train station so we didn’t need to find the way to the resort on our own.
It was a wonderful stay.

"We had the best stay here, it is such a beautiful charming hotel with stunning rooms. Our view of the river was beautiful through our floor to ceiling window and we loved all of the owners plants outside! The host was so kind and hospitable, she sent loads of recommendations for food, viewpoints and things to do and made so much effort to make our time special. The hotel dog, cat, tortoise and fish made it extra homey! We especially enjoyed sharing traditional tea with the host one evening and appreciated her generosity so much. Great location within walking distance of elephant trunk hill and the pedestrian street for food and the market. Highly recommend staying here."

"I have been to many B&Bs in ancient towns, but there are very few that I can never forget. Nianju Inn is an inn that I would like to visit again after I visited it once. The decoration style of the inn is simple yet elegant, fashionable and practical. You can feel the owner's care for the inn, and he manages and decorates the inn as if it were his own home. Very clean, every decoration is carefully thought out and ready for use. The floor-to-ceiling windows have a wide view, and there is a viewing platform on the top floor. You can have a panoramic view of the karst mountain shape. The simplicity of Huangyao Ancient Town is simply sitting on the platform, sipping tea and enjoying the scenery! The landlady is enthusiastic, attentive and diligent. The boss will guide you, carry your luggage, move your car for you, and remind you to drive safely. Nianju is a cultured and warm inn. "Absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel, the hotel staff are amazing and will help you with any requests you have. They have a translator device so communicating is very easy at front desk.
You can rent an e-bike for 30¥ and then it is 20¥ for each extra day. Laundry is also included for free which is a nice touch. The view from the rooftop is fantastic and the view from the bedroom window is great.
The room itself was clean, spacious and very comfortable to stay in. The bed was comfy too. The shower is separate too which is nice for the price.
Our only gripes were the soundproofing is not great and the door to the bathroom leaves a gap to the room which is a tad unhygienic.
Overall I cannot fault the hotel, truly 10/10 and would recommend to all foreigners. h"

"Better than expected! The location of the B&B is unique. In Xiangu Village of Gupo Mountain, you can check in first and then slowly explore Gupo Mountain. It is very suitable for bringing elderly families. If the elderly get up early in the morning, they can also walk along the trail at the back door to visit Gupo Mountain. .
The hardware and software facilities of the B&B are very good. The bedding in the hardware part is very comfortable. It has a bathtub and a lounge chair. The mountain spring water in the B&B is great for making tea! The private hot spring bath has a butler to help clean and drain the water, which is a good experience. As for the software, after checking in, the housekeeper will join the group. If you have any needs, you can raise them in the group. The response speed is very fast and basically everything is answered. The staff are very talkative and have a good service attitude.
There is a restaurant in the B&B where you can order food. I am picky about what I eat, but they do a good job. The free-range chicken is really delicious😌The river fish is also good👍The overall nutritional configuration of the breakfast is good according to the position.
I will stay here again next time I have time, it’s a good time to relax myself"

"It is a duplex, the room decoration is still very careful, and I made an appointment with my friends to meet at the hotel. They saw our room and said it was very good. The child also liked it very much. He didn't want to go to bed during lunch break and said he wanted to sleep on a small cushion. The window of the room looked right at the lake and the scenery was good. In addition, there is a small skylight (closed) on the top of the upper bed, which is also very interesting, but it will be sunburned during the day."

Hotel is in a great location. Easy to do a Yulong River Rafting tour (5 minutes walk away), 15 minutes from city centre and bike rentals are located right outside the hotel. It’s also just off the main road which means a peaceful nights rest.
I loved that fresh linen was given everyday - not all hotels do this.
Staff were kind enough to help me locate my sunglasses that I left in a Didi. They called around for me as I was unable to communicate in Chinese. I managed to retrieve them. I really appreciate that! Check-in was quick, and the room was spacious with good Wi-Fi. Food was delicious and inexpensive.
Would definitely stay here again for the price, location and excellent service."

GGuest UserI had a truly satisfying stay! The location of Wangjianglou is unbeatable, very close to West Street and the Li River, making getting around super convenient. I specifically booked the 'Leisure Courtyard View Twin Room,' and it was clean, tidy, well-equipped, and completely odor-free. The courtyard environment is incredibly tranquil and peaceful, a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The twin room was spacious enough; my family and I didn't feel cramped at all. The staff were friendly and responsive. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. It was an impeccable accommodation experience, deserving of a five-star rating!

22morrowsworldRelatively cheap accommodation with window/balcony facing karst mountain, and just 100m from the Li River. Some nice Thai themed embellishments decorate the rooms. Bed is only a small 'double' and has one useable powerpoint near bed right side + light controls. Aircon works well (only small room so to be expected). Overall, OK for 100 RMB per night, but does have a few issues.
Booked the 'special promotion' room. Trip.com indicates a room size of 12m square metres, which is incorrect. I measured it at 9.5 square, including the bathroom. If including the small balcony (2.5 sq m), the total room area is 12m best case. Only large enough for single occupancy, with small amount of luggage. Two people would need to climb over eachother to move around. No where near enough space for two - luggage would need to be kept outside on the balcony!
Hot water works but is not properly calibrated. Either boiling hot or freezing cold. Extremely difficult to find the right temperature to shower with any comfort. I put full hot, and waited. Water got super hot after 40 seconds. Adjusted to reduce by setting at middle between hot/cold, but water temperature remained super hot. Then pushed to full cold. Water temperature transitioned to cold 29 seconds later. Then put back to middle position but water remained dead cold. Tested this both ways for at least 4 minutes each and remained either scolding hot or freezing cold!!
Hotel provides signs to indicate desire to 'please clean room' and I hang this on outer door handle for two days, but to no avail So can only assume the owners don't provide this service. This establishment is only rated as a 2 star hotel, and given the low price point, you really can't complain - on the condition that the tariff is low. Acceptable for 100 -120 RMB per night. Unacceptable for much more than this though.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Absolutely Fantastic Stay - Made My Yangshuo Trip!
I just had to write a review for this wonderful hotel. My stay here was absolutely perfect, largely thanks to one person.
First off, the location is ideal. It's located very near West Street, which made it incredibly convenient to grab food, check out the party scene, and easily hail a DiDi. You're right in the heart of the action without being in a noisy building.
The room itself was so cozy and comfortable. After a long day of exploring, the hot shower was a lifesaver, and I appreciated that they provided complete toiletries—one less thing to worry about packing!
Now, for the highlight of my stay: the guy at the reception. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. He truly went above and beyond to help me. One evening, he even sat down with me over a cup of tea and helped me plan my itineraries, offering fantastic local tips. He arranged carpooling services for me, which made getting to the various sights so much easier and more affordable.
My entire stay in Yangshuo was smoother and more enjoyable because of him. That guy is 1000% great! Kudos to him and to the hotel for having such a fantastic employee.
I can't recommend this place highly enough!

JJuujuuHuBooked the 6 bed dorm, it was full for the 2 nights I stayed here. The bed was so comfy and firm. I had the upper bed and the stairs were thin and tall so each steps felt like I was climbing a rock. The curtains weren't long enough to cover the whole bed completely, you could see the gap of the room and wasn't very blackout, but it's nice for the aircon to come thru without feeling too hot. The power socket was quite annoying, you had to make sure you don't use the travel adaptor which is a brick because it will not fit under the bed light.
Room is very cleaned. The bathroom is cleaned too, but the door had issues.
The employees are very nice, speaks both English and Chinese and very helpful too. They can also arrange day trips or the river cruise, and honestly if I knew in advance I would had chose Guilin first then Yangshuo so I can join a tour instead.
Location is pretty close to Guilin Station - a 15min walk.

EEatPrayTravelLocation of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. GGuest UserIf you're visiting Longji Rice Terraces and Ping'an Village, this is definitely the place to stay! Everything about it is great!
The service is excellent, and the homemade dishes are delicious, especially the rice noodles – they're the best I've had in Guilin! For a scenic area, I think it offers good value for money. Two of us had dinner and breakfast for less than 150 RMB. The hotel also offers traditional clothing rentals for photos, which I loved! The owner is super friendly and even picked us up from the tourist center after we parked, and dropped us off again. Their cat is adorable and not shy at all!
PS: The sticky rice wine is really good and surprisingly potent – I actually felt a bit tipsy, haha! Definitely worth trying!
