I had a truly satisfying stay! The location of Wangjianglou is unbeatable, very close to West Street and the Li River, making getting around super convenient. I specifically booked the 'Leisure Courtyard View Twin Room,' and it was clean, tidy, well-equipped, and completely odor-free. The courtyard environment is incredibly tranquil and peaceful, a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The twin room was spacious enough; my family and I didn't feel cramped at all. The staff were friendly and responsive. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. It was an impeccable accommodation experience, deserving of a five-star rating!

Relatively cheap accommodation with window/balcony facing karst mountain, and just 100m from the Li River. Some nice Thai themed embellishments decorate the rooms. Bed is only a small 'double' and has one useable powerpoint near bed right side + light controls. Aircon works well (only small room so to be expected). Overall, OK for 100 RMB per night, but does have a few issues. Booked the 'special promotion' room. Trip.com indicates a room size of 12m square metres, which is incorrect. I measured it at 9.5 square, including the bathroom. If including the small balcony (2.5 sq m), the total room area is 12m best case. Only large enough for single occupancy, with small amount of luggage. Two people would need to climb over eachother to move around. No where near enough space for two - luggage would need to be kept outside on the balcony! Hot water works but is not properly calibrated. Either boiling hot or freezing cold. Extremely difficult to find the right temperature to shower with any comfort. I put full hot, and waited. Water got super hot after 40 seconds. Adjusted to reduce by setting at middle between hot/cold, but water temperature remained super hot. Then pushed to full cold. Water temperature transitioned to cold 29 seconds later. Then put back to middle position but water remained dead cold. Tested this both ways for at least 4 minutes each and remained either scolding hot or freezing cold!! Hotel provides signs to indicate desire to 'please clean room' and I hang this on outer door handle for two days, but to no avail So can only assume the owners don't provide this service. This establishment is only rated as a 2 star hotel, and given the low price point, you really can't complain - on the condition that the tariff is low. Acceptable for 100 -120 RMB per night. Unacceptable for much more than this though.

The location is excellent, right beside major attractions, making it very convenient to get around Yangshuo without wasting time on transport. Everything feels within reach. One thing that stood out is their 24/7 home-like service. You can contact them anytime, and they are always responsive and helpful, which makes the stay very comfortable. They also offer 24/7 e-motor rental, which is a must in Yangshuo since it’s part of the local travel culture. Just a small tip — remember to take the umbrella attachment for the bike, the sun can be really intense. What truly makes this place different is the personalised, family-like service. The staff actually pay attention to your habits and travel style, and recommend activities that genuinely suit you instead of pushing touristy options. For example, one day we got caught in the rain while riding back. The staff had actually messaged us earlier to take shelter, but we missed it and ended up drenched. When we returned, they immediately suggested we take a hot shower and even prepared a pot of hot ginger tea with red dates, personally delivering it to our room. It was such a warm and thoughtful gesture. This is not a typical five- or six-star luxury hotel, but that’s not the point. The atmosphere is unique — cosy, warm, and genuinely homely. It feels less like staying at a hotel and more like being taken care of by people who actually care. Highly recommended if you value comfort, warmth, and a more personal travel experience.

The dining area provides coffee and tea, and there are even ethnic costumes available to try on, which shows the owner's thoughtfulness. It's located very near West Street, which made it incredibly convenient to grab food, check out the party scene, and easily hail a DiDi. You're right in the heart of the action without being in a noisy building. The room itself was so cozy and comfortable. After a long day of exploring, the hot shower was a lifesaver, and I appreciated that they provided complete toiletries—one less thing to worry about packing! Now, for the highlight of my stay: the guy at the reception. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. He truly went above and beyond to help me. One evening, he even sat down with me over a cup of tea and helped me plan my itineraries, offering fantastic local tips. He arranged carpooling services for me, which made getting to the various sights so much easier and more affordable. My entire stay in Yangshuo was smoother and more enjoyable because of him. That guy is 1000% great! Kudos to him and to the hotel for having such a fantastic employee. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Booked the 6 bed dorm, it was full for the 2 nights I stayed here. The bed was so comfy and firm. I had the upper bed and the stairs were thin and tall so each steps felt like I was climbing a rock. The curtains weren't long enough to cover the whole bed completely, you could see the gap of the room and wasn't very blackout, but it's nice for the aircon to come thru without feeling too hot. The power socket was quite annoying, you had to make sure you don't use the travel adaptor which is a brick because it will not fit under the bed light. Room is very cleaned. The bathroom is cleaned too, but the door had issues. The employees are very nice, speaks both English and Chinese and very helpful too. They can also arrange day trips or the river cruise, and honestly if I knew in advance I would had chose Guilin first then Yangshuo so I can join a tour instead. Location is pretty close to Guilin Station - a 15min walk.

Wonderful hotel tucked away in a small village space. Absolutely great for being away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but close enough to reach everything conveniently. The room was very clean and the tea cosy by the window was a lovely touch, we had a nice view of the mountains from our room. All amnesties worked well. Comfy bed. Owner was lovely and helpful, welcomed us back with watermelon every day and helped us to book some tours which we paid for upon check out. I used the massage options there too and it was 10/10! The included breakfast was also fantastic, we took the chinese option every day and it was great.

The location is good. Just 300 metres to the official Mingshi scenic area and the Tourist Centre. There are shuttle buses at the Tourist Centre to Detian Waterfall every day at 8.30 am, 12 pm, and 4 pm at 15 Yuan per person. There are also return shuttle buses from Detian Waterfall to Mingshi. Staying at Kongshan Xiaozhu, we can enter the official Mingshi scenic area for the 8pm night performance by showing the card given to us by the boss. Travelling to Kongshan Xiaozhu is very convenient by coach from Nanning Xixiangtang Bus Station. The driver will drop you at the roadside just 1 min walk to Kongshan Xiaozhu. Return to Nanning is also the same. The driver will pick you up at the roadside.

If you're visiting Longji Rice Terraces and Ping'an Village, this is definitely the place to stay! Everything about it is great! The service is excellent, and the homemade dishes are delicious, especially the rice noodles – they're the best I've had in Guilin! For a scenic area, I think it offers good value for money. Two of us had dinner and breakfast for less than 150 RMB. The hotel also offers traditional clothing rentals for photos, which I loved! The owner is super friendly and even picked us up from the tourist center after we parked, and dropped us off again. Their cat is adorable and not shy at all! PS: The sticky rice wine is really good and surprisingly potent – I actually felt a bit tipsy, haha! Definitely worth trying!
