Lovely looking place. It's a historic inn, so we weren't expecting the most up-to-date amenities. But when we got there, had to search for a front desk person - the call number they left had a full mailbox. We were told our room was on the top (3rd) floor and that the elevator was out of order (apparently been broken a long time). I explained that I had mobility issues that made it difficult to climb all the stairs with luggage etc. I was hoping she would change us to a ground floor room. Her response: ”Aw, bless your heart.” So we schlepped upstairs to find a view, not of the courtyard, which was what we booked, but of the demolition of the old convention center. Well, that couldn't be helped. but we couldn't get the ”blackout” curtains completely closed, maybe because they were attached to the rods with zip ties! It was not possible to make coffee - there was no pot or carafe to put in the machine. Front desk tried to tell me to just put the cup into the machine to catch the coffee. Cup didn't fit and besides, it was styrofoam and would have melted on the bottom heating burner where the pot usually sits. I told her that and she looked at me like I was nuts. On the upside, the rest of the staff was very friendly and the room and bed were clean and comfy. Location was great. Not a bad stay, but I doubt I would book there again.

We arrived midnight and the staff at the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating. The room is very clean, spacious and has the necessary utilities you need. They have free breakfast and an ice machine. This is one of the cleanest and well kept quality inn we’ve been. The price is unbeatable and the staff are friendly.

When we went to check in the told me room wasn’t ready so we decided to go do some things with kids and I called clerk and told them it would be later before we come back and checked in he said that was fine. Well we got back at 11:00 pm and he gave us our room when we went in I couldn’t believe what I saw. Beds were *****ped with all dirty linen laying in floor and on couch . Clean linens laying on counter , garbage cans over flowing with garbage, garbage all over floors and in sinks and table room hadn’t been touched. When we told clerk he said he didn’t have any other rooms the. He said he could do a room with a king bed there was 6 of us then he said he could do a room with 2 queen again there was 6 of us I told him that wasn’t big enough for us that’s why I reserved the room I did. So I asked him could he do two rooms and he said no so my kids were fussy cause they was so tired I told him if he give us sheets we would make beds up and clean room up and he said ok and offered to come help but when I requested a refund cause of what we had to go through they refused and said they will give me a refund of 46.00 but that’s it. Then they start calling me arguing with me telling me they offered to cancel the room with no penalties and I refused and that was a straight up lie. Never again will I stay here and I hope they get better housekeeping and breakfast was horrible they didn’t even have milk for the cereal.

My wife and I have stayed here several times. In 2019 we had a number of issues with both the exterior and interior of the room. This time the room was better, although a bar of the towel rack had fallen off and had not been repaired. There were cigarette burns on the bathtub. The room was clean and the AC unit was quiet. The beds were comfortable, although the sheet metal edging around my bed clanked when i turned over. There was little road noise. The exterior of the motel continues to look beat-up. A fresh coat of paint would help a great deal. Breakfast was adequate, with most items pre-packaged. The motel used to offer daily USA Today copies in the lobby but this has been discontinued. For a two-star motel with issues, I paid just short of $100 a night with taxes. Travel seems to be expensive, post-COVID. We were visiting relatives and the Quality Inn did all right for the purpose.

We booked as the price was right especially being Canadian with the exchange rate. But you get what you pay for. You can see they did some upgrades to the room but not good enough. The ice in the freezer part of the fridge was 3 inches thick all around. The air conditioner hummed so much it vibrated the floor when sitting on the couch and in the bed. They put a new surround encloser around the tub but on the floor around the tub was filthy. The toilet was new and the flooring looked like fairly new laminate. The bed was comfortable and tv and internet good. Their hot breakfast was waffles, no eggs, no toast, just cereal and some small muffins, juice and coffee. If in need of hotel because can't go anywhere else for 1 night you could stay but would not recommend and will not stay there or any other one.

Room was clean and hotel was quiet, but 2 major issues. 1. We arrived a little early. I asked about early check in and was told $20 per hour. I can understand this if housekeepers are still working or if guests were checking in or out, but there were 2 cars in parking lot - one of which was front desk person. We just went shopping for that one hour rather than pay this. 2. Though I requested a non-smoking room, was charged $50 to ensure I didn’t smoke in the room. I asked if guests in smoking rooms had to pay a deposit - blank look. Was told I would get deposit refunded in 5 days after checkout, but had to call 3 times. This gouging for every extra dollar is ridiculous and I will not stay at this chain again.
