Quality Hotel Skifer
4.1/564 Reviews
Oppdal is a quaint & charming little town. Our stay at Quality Hotel Skifer was a great refuge for a few hours, as we had to catch the early train in the morning. The beds were super cozy and comfy, toilet and room were very clean, and we had a lovely view of the mountain. Breakfast spread in the morning was akin to a five star! Well stocked and decent range of good items! I’m not sure who helped me with arranging the late check-in over the phone (a lovely lady!), but just wanted to say thank you for accommodating it! We were really able to get quality rest and reset our journey with a fresh mind!
Britannia Hotel

The hotel staff was courteous and very helpful. The hotel was centrally located and the room was well appointed. The room was a bit stuffy because no AC and we could not open the window. They provided a very effective fan . The breakfast buffet was superb.

Surprising city. Old and modern are beautifully aligned. Beautiful old streets (Backland) with wooden houses. We have not found it so kept in Norwegian cities (we came through the north of the country, so we don't know the south). It is atmosphere. Beautiful cathedral. To do good at a afternoon. Langer can also be for museums, forts and a park, but we did not. If you wonder who Hjalmar Andersen is: he won three gold medals in 1952, it became three times WK and three times EK. long run skating. He's a beautiful statue in the city.
Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel, Trondheim

You will not find a hotel more centrally located. The back half the building over looks the river and river walk and the front half faces the city. You can walk pretty much anywhere in Trondheim from here. The building is huge and beautiful. Being centrally located parking is expensive, but there is a garage under the building, but you need to make separate arrangements with the garage attendees. The front desk was able to connect me with them even before I arrived.

We were given a disgusting room that had not been washed by by the staff. (Depicted in the photos) Also in mind the current covid-19 situation, these kind of sloppiness isn’t safe for costumers when you find something that can resemblance human liquids on the wall. When we informed the staff about the issues, who had already been snide from the start, we were met with little willingness to cooperate. After not wanting to join us upstairs or see the photos we had taken, the owner immediately comes and shouts at us. He says that we’re not welcome to stay there if we have any comments about how they run their business, so we can leave immediately and find a new hotel in town. Plowing our luggage trough the snow with no help of fetching a cab for us, we eventually find a nice hotell in the same price range with a much more nice approach to our situation. We spend a lot of time of our stay on this, something that should not have been necessary. Steer clear of this hotel, unprofessional and crummy from beginning to end. Don't think these will be running any new hotels in the near future.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Trondheim Airport
4.3/5110 Reviews
We didn't realize that this hotel is literally in the airport, along with the typical airport noise and transient crowd. We mistakenly rented a car to begin a drive through Norway and upon exiting the parking garage, saw our hotel right by the exit. I pulled up to hotel and asked where we could park our hotel and I was told there was no parking, but instead we would have to go back into the airport and pay for overnight parking (if we had known, we wouldn't have rented the car until morning). At check-in, i realized that we intended to book the downtown Radisson. When i asked if we could transfer our reservation if they had rooms, we were told that if we did that we had passed the cancelation time at the airport hotel by 10 minutes and we would be charged an additional night there. The desk staff were young and inexperienced, but friendly. Our room was a typical cutout box with moderate amenities. As it turned out, breakfast was NOT included and overpriced, even by Scandinavian standards, but there are no options unless you want to walk into the airport and get fast-food. All in all, not an impressive hotel for service, but sound for business travelers in need of a place to stay adjacent to the airport.
City Living Sentrum Hotel

Very central location in the city centre and within a five minutes' walk from the train station. Bus stop to everywhere in Trondheim area just around the corner. Restaurants, shops and other services on the spot. Newish building with modern rooms. Single room was small, but comfortable and had a very good layout. Good bed too. Decent price. Highly recommended.

Paid for upgrade for ”sea view” room. yes, you can see the fjord in the distance over the (noisy) train tracks immediately outside hotel and over the main north-south motorway. Room had no A/C and was informed it wasnt needed as 'Norway only has summer for a week'.
Quality Hotel Prinsen

Great location, within minutes to St Olaf Square or Sentum, and the Cathedral. There are also a number of supermarkets and eateries nearby. The staff are helpful and friendly, and helped us to book a large taxi for our trip to the airport. The rooms are of an okay size, but the bathrooms are large. The rooms lack a safe, and the electrical points are placed in weird places like the floorboards, but there are many of them. The beds re comfortable and I found them too soft. But the room definitely needs more lights as it is very dark even in the daytime. Also, some of the doors have difficulty locking. In fact, one of the group had to switch rooms to a junior suite as they found their room door unlocked. Breakfast was very good and had wide options e.g. you could have hardboiled or sunny side up eggs with bacon, or the chef can whip up an omelette with ham and mushrooms. There were many choices of cereals, breads, meats and fruits. There was some street noise, also at night, as the tram stop is just outside. They also have automatic shutters, and this can cause some noise as they activate around 7 am. Overall, it is a good hotel in a great location.
Comfort Hotel Trondheim

The hotel room is large, the lobby is fully functional, breakfast starts at 6:30 from Monday to Friday, and breakfast is served at 8:00 on Saturday. We sadly urged to leave the hotel on Saturday, so we did not have breakfast at the hotel, but we could leave the breakfast with a box. . The hotel is in a good location, only a ten minute walk from the train station and not far from the sights. There is a supermarket nearby, McDonald's, Burger King can be a belly.
