"The hotel looks nice from the outside, but everything inside felt dirty and poorly maintained. Initially, we were put in a room overlooking vents and a noisy street, even though we had specifically requested a quiet room when booking. The hotel was accommodating and moved us to a different room. However, I have to say, the soundproofing is poor; you can hear everything happening outside very clearly. Especially the motorcycles going by and the rooster crowing in the mornings!
The cleaning was terrible – everything was dusty and grimy. And they'll only clean your room if you remember to hang the 'make up room' sign on the door.
Breakfast was a letdown; the selection was very limited. The cheese was awful and clearly the cheapest kind. There was no cold cuts or ham. Breakfasts here felt more like lunch or dinner. You're better off going to local cafes for breakfast.
On the positive side, the location is good, and the pool area is beautiful with a fantastic view.
This hotel might be suitable for a short stay, but definitely keep the aforementioned issues in mind."

"Everything about this hotel was amazing, but most of all, the staff (hotel and restaurant) was excellent and the highlight of our stay. They were respectful, called us by name every time they would see us, and went out of their way to cater to our every whim. The view from the bar is amazing and their authentic Philippino cuisine top notch. I am not vegan or vegetarian but the vegan restaurant was excellent, I didn't want to eat anywhere apart from the restaurant hotels and portions were huge and very reasonably priced. We had a Seaview room and it was stunning. The room also has a mini fridge, a Dyson hairdryer, a TV with Netflix and Prime (log in with your own account), a safe and a swinging chair in front of the window. The balcony is small but has a bench and a drying rack. The hotel provides beach towels. They also provided free airport shuttles and arranged all our excursions. They don't have laundry services but there are laundry services within a few steps from the hotel. There are also a great bakery, ATMs, a night street market and plenty of other bars and restaurants within a short walking distance of the hotel. There isn't a phone in the room but the hotel uses WhatsApp to communicate and it worked super well. I would stay there again and can highly recommend!"

"The hotel is a an 8-10 minute walk from the local McDonald's – that's where the transfer drops you off. If you contact the hotel in advance, the staff can come and help with your luggage. If you only have carry-on, you can walk on your own: the path is sandy but very scenic, running along the beach and the sea.
Currently, the hotel consists of two buildings. The rooms in the building with the reception are more spacious and cozy. There's no TV in the room, but with such a magnificent view, you don't even need one! 🙂
You can rent a moped directly at the hotel, but the road to it is quite challenging: a steep ascent and an equally steep descent. If you're not a confident rider, it might be tricky.
Drink prices are about twice as high as in the store, but this is standard for all hotels on the island. Breakfasts are decent, but not amazing – for this price, you could find more interesting options even on the way to McDonald's.

"This glamping site, located right on Nacpan Beach, was a fantastic spot to relax. We had direct beach access, and guests could use the beach beds for free. There was also a pool and a gym, and the pool even had its own bar.
The tents were equipped with air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a kettle. A very convenient sand-rinse shower was also available right outside each tent.
While the bathrooms were shared, there were plenty of them, so we never had to wait to use one. They were also cleaned regularly and kept very tidy. Hot water was available, but the water pressure was a bit low."

"Lovely staff, very sociable hostel with events on every evening. Showers are excellent - lovely to have warm water.
Rooms do not lock - this seems to be the norm here but it surprised me and did leave me feeling unsafe the first few nights as anyone can walk in.
Need to pay to rent a blanket, only a sheet on the bed, but the aircon in the rooms is really high and doesn’t seem controllable by guests - I slept with a jumper on most nights. Temperature outside of the rooms was much more pleasant."

"Our family really enjoyed our stay at Huni Lio. We stayed in the family room. You can comfortably sleep 4 to 6 if you use the sofa.
The crew really took care of us.
Lio is a nice relaxed respite from the back packer hustle and bustle of Elnido. Dining choices are so tasty. The beach is beautiful. Watch out for big waves and sandflies/ nikniks - cover up, pack antihistamines and insect repellants.
Just a few helpful tips and feedback:
1. Improve the brewed coffee that comes with breakfast or waive the charges to serve the coffee from the expresso machine.
2. The laundry and swimmers hanging in balconies facing the mangrove forest won’t dry even after 5 days leaving a stank so bad. We moved our rack indoors to dry in front of the AC.
3. There’s a constart hum and vibration at the end of the room, last bed. Light sleepers should avoid this bed.
Finally wish there was a second bathroom lol but overall the waiting and jesting is part of the wholesome family fun."

Top-notch hospitality, warmth, and exceptional service!! I am long overdue in sharing my review, but I am excited to share my experience. My husband booked Seda Lio for my 50th birthday celebration. From the moment they picked us up from the airport in a golf buggy , which my boys loved, to the front desk, where we were greeted with drinks and a wonderful welcome, we knew we were in for a exceptional time. The service was unparalleled, led by Miggy, Devine, and their team. They upgraded us to a beautiful and spacious suite, closest to the beach. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and I must mention the delicious Taho and exceptional service provided by Jason and his team (forgot to mention the lady that served our table across the main door who was equally exceptional as well ). I received birthday cake greetings twice during breakfast, courtesy of Jason who made sure I blew my cake before we went for Island hopping, and again during dinner. Kuya Eddie was remarkable, making us feel safe during our island adventure and taking my sons snorkeling.And made my sons coconut palm hat. Seda Lio exceeded my expectations, making my 50th birthday celebration truly unforgettable. Thank you, and I cant wait to return to paradise.. 5 ⭐️"

"The hotel is located in the center of El Nido, there are many restaurants around, the beach is nearby, but the entry into the water is shallow. There is almost no territory, the pool is covered with some kind of tarpaulin, it looks worse than in the photo. Breakfasts are not bad, but monotonous, a choice of a set from the menu. If you are on a bike, you can look for other hotels in the area for the same price."

KKarimHMy stay at El Nido Resorts Lagen Island was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff's warmth and genuine hospitality were exceptional; they always wore smiles and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. From assisting with ferry bookings to surprising me on my birthday with a beautifully decorated bed and a delightful cake, their thoughtfulness was truly heartwarming. Special thanks to Carell, Jojo, Harnie, John, and Arvin for their outstanding support.
The resort's happy vibe upon arrival sets the tone, and you leave with a smile, longing for more. The complimentary tours, seamlessly integrated into the package, were made exceptional by the supportive guides, creating a private and well-timed experience. Opting for the overwater bungalow was a unique and enchanting experience, adding to the paradise that is El Nido Lagen Island.
The buffet-style meals offered three times a day were a culinary delight. I wholeheartedly recommend El Nido Resorts Lagen Island for an unforgettable and highly recommended getaway. Thank you for an exceptional stay!

MMokamiaomiaoIf you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle and find a paradise, this is the best choice  The whole butler service, any request will be answered in seconds. The hotel is very new and the facilities are very good. There are many lounges where you can relax and play mahjong in the lounge, and it is a high-end electronic mahjong table. Superb haha

KKnoxxxHad the best stay here. Hotel is spotless, rooms are spacious with really comfortable beds. Our room was cleaned everyday and we were provided with new shower and beach towels daily. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly with booking tours and arranging transport and they were always happy to help. This is a fabulous hotel and would definitely come back here the next time I visit El Nido!

GGuest UserI have picked resort for its location and for experience to stay at the beach hut. And it was truly amazing time chilling on your veranda’s comfy chair surrounded by palm trees and the sound of crashing waves.
As for the overall experience, the resort is definitely not a 5* star resort. Amenities are pretty basic, over-washed beach towels, cheap cutlery, unexciting breakfast, the core infrastructure a bit rundown down, food is average and overpriced. Staff is friendly and ready to attend to every need of yours, but are the some time not there when you need them.
Had stayed at lagoon hut #14 and had a constant traffic of passing stuff or guests. So not so much privacy as you would think.
Caution. Only lagoon huts facing the beach (first row) get to use the beach sun loungers. The rest of the guests need ti use swimming pool lounges.

MMarc in ShanghaiLocated just north of the main town and boat departure beach. Complimentary 24-hour tuktuk service, but walking only takes 15 minutes or so. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room was nice and A/C worked well. Bed and pillows were a little firm, but reasonably comfortable. Included breakfast is good.
Resort is divided into 3 parts. Cadlao 1, 2, and 3. 1 is at the entrance, 2 is next, and 3 is the farthest away (but still only a few minutes walk). 3 is also the most secluded, which might make it a little quieter.

CColasWe stayed only one night, but have been warmly welcomed. Nice and clean hotel, although it was terrible weather (storm) there was no issue (flooding or leakage), the room was comfortable, with good size and arrangement.
Breakfast can be taken with a very nice view on the beach (careful, it’s not the best beach of the area).
Team welcomed us warmly, there are restaurants (TAAS worth it) all around which makes a good location overall (trip in tricycle to the town is always funny).

AAngelicaFrom the moment we left the port, our Matinloc experience already felt special. The boat ride was smooth, and the boatmen immediately assisted us with our luggage. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Jam from FO/Reservations, who gave us a friendly tour and clear briefing. Even before the trip, Reservations Manager Ms. Jeannette had already been very responsive to my emails, making the planning stress-free.
Our VIP villa, perched on a cliff, offered an astounding view that raised the standard of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the generous souvenirs and hygiene kits provided. The staff were consistently attentive and polite special thanks to FO Supervisor Ms. Jhona and their Korean General Manager for adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Highlights of our stay included the refreshing fresh fruit shakes, fun water activities, the amazing walking path lined with century-old trees, and of course, the delicious food (their pizza was a standout). The WiFi was surprisingly fast..even powered by Starlink at the port. We also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of staff recommending where to get beers in town since they don’t sell alcohol on-site.
Matinloc truly combines paradise-like views with genuine hospitality. Maraming salamat to the whole team for making this my best El Nido stay so far.. I would gladly return a hundred times over.

Room: I used it for three people, but it was big enough. It was really nice to have breakfast on the outside terrace.
Meals: The restaurant at the hotel was really good and we used it for everything except breakfast.
The atmosphere of the whole hotel was so good and calm. I will definitely use it again when coming to El Nido!

GGuest UserA little slice of luxury. Amazing clean rooms and pool. We didn’t have hot water but it was sorted quickly! Scooter hire is expensive here (compared with outside) but necessary to get around. The hotel has a transfer bus but times are limited to morning and evening. Breakfast was great. Dinner was good (expensive compared with outside as understand in hotel). If you order the pork, it’s like a starter portion so bear in mind.

Ffranco dazziUpon arrival, I was a little surprised by the somewhat isolated road, but as soon as I arrived, I found a special place... beautiful, welcoming, the owner was friendly and thoughtful, she helped us with everything, then rented scooters that allowed us to explore the beaches, etc. Always hot water, air conditioning, satellite TV... swimming pool, in short, a dream. I will definitely be back.
