Final Day in Amman | A Relaxing Trip to Roman Theater & Balcony Café Near the Hotel Today marks our last day in Jordan. We took it slow in the morning, lounging around the hotel until 11:30 before checking out. After storing our luggage, we called an Uber to visit the only destination on our itinerary for the day—the Roman Theater. Amman at noon in May is scorching hot ☀️, so we unanimously decided to take a car directly to the site. Walking even a few extra minutes under the blazing sun could lead to heatstroke (not exaggerating here). Better to save our energy for exploring the attraction itself! 🎭 About the Roman Theater This massive theater, capable of seating 6,000 spectators, was built in the 2nd century AD during the Roman Empire era. It is one of the remnants of ancient Philadelphia (modern-day Amman). Ingeniously constructed into the hillside, the theater remains remarkably well-preserved. The site also includes the Jordan Museum of Popular Traditions and the Folklore Museum, perfect for escaping the sun and enjoying some air conditioning. 🕰 Opening Hours & Tickets: • ⏰ Summer: Open daily from 08:00–18:00; Winter: 08:00–16:00 • 💰 Tickets: 1 JD (Free with Jordan Pass) When we arrived, the heat was indeed unbearable, and the theater itself offered no shade. We headed straight to the museum interiors to cool off 😆. Unexpectedly, my friends ended up surrounded by a large group of local girls! They were fascinated by Asian faces, asking for photos and even our Instagram handles and phone numbers (we couldn’t stop laughing 🤣). After the photo session, I escaped to a shaded area to relax while watching my friends bask in the spotlight under the blazing sun 😂. After leaving the theater, we took an Uber back to the hotel area and started searching for a good spot to unwind for the afternoon. We found Jafra Restaurant & Café, located in an old building in the city center. Its second-floor balcony offers a direct view of the old streets, full of charm. We also noticed many locals enjoying shisha, so I decided to try one last puff myself ✨🌬️. After finishing our drinks, we returned to the hotel lounge to relax on the sofas while waiting for the driver to take us to the airport. We thought our familiar driver Hani would come, but surprisingly, it was the same driver who had taken us from Wadi Rum to the Dead Sea—the one who needed frequent bathroom breaks during the 4-hour trip 😆. 🛫 Today, the four of us are flying on different flights, all heading to Europe—Milan, London, and my destination, Rome. Initially, we thought we wouldn’t get a proper chance to say goodbye, but due to flight delays, we ended up having time to bid farewell at the airport. Watching them board their planes one by one was both heartwarming and bittersweet. Goodbye, Jordan! Next stop: Rome 🇮🇹
