Wat Muang and the Great Buddha of Maha Nawamin Sakayamuni Sri Wiset Chai Chan

It’s uncertain how many years it will take before we see another large white Buddha like this again. Once the golden paint is completed, it will likely be many years before the temple repaints it. If you visit at the right time, you’ll also witness the vibrant yellow blooms of Sunn Hemp flowers in the fields behind the temple, creating a striking contrast with the Buddha statue—truly a breathtaking view. The "Luang Pho Yai" (The Great Buddha of Maha Nawamin Sakayamuni Sri Wiset Chai Chan) is a seated Buddha in the Mara Vijaya posture, standing at an impressive height of 95 meters with a width of 63 meters at the base.
