#Beautiful temple Wat Bang Kung, Bang Khonthi District, Samut Songkhram Province is an ancient temple built since the Ayutthaya period. There is also Luang Pho Phutthamaninil, a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture from the Ayutthaya period, enshrined in a Bodhi-covered chapel, which is the highlight of Wat Bang Kung. The highlight of Wat Bang Kung is the chapel, which is different from other temples. When Ayutthaya fell, Bang Kung Camp became an abandoned camp. King Taksin the Great restored independence and established Thonburi. He then gathered followers to establish a garrison to guard the old camp at Bang Kung again.
