Wat Rakhang

Wat Rakhang is an old temple, originally named Wat Bang Wa Yai. It used to be the residence of Somdej Phra Buddhacarya. Behind the chapel is the Tripitaka Hall, a wooden building in the style of a Thai house with 3 rooms next to each other. This building used to be the residence of King Rama I before he ascended the throne as the first king of the Chakri Dynasty. On the top of the building, there are currently two gilded dhamma cabinets on display, with ancient patterns from the Ayutthaya period that are quite complete and beautiful. The walls of the house also have painted patterns, but they are quite faded. #Waiting for the day to travel
