Worship at Wat Rakhang Khositaram

Wat Rakhang Khositaram, originally called Wat Bang Wa Yai, is an ancient temple during the Ayutthaya period, along with Wat Bang Wa Noi, which is Wat Amarintharam. In 2312, after King Taksin the Great ascended to the throne and established a new capital city called Krung Thonburi, he restored and renovated Wat Bang Wa Yai and elevated it to a royal temple. Later, in the Rattanakosin period, King Rama I carried out a major renovation and discovered a bell that sounded very melodious. He ordered it to be kept at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram. He then ordered the construction of a bell tower with five more bells as a replacement. After the renovation was complete, he gave it a new name: "Wat Rakhang Khositaram".
