The renovated Le Meridien Hotel with its Japanese Onsen is amazing! The Izakaya near the hotel is also fantastic!

I've stayed at the Le Meridien Bangkok more than 20 times. This is my first visit after the renovation, and everything has been replaced with new items including the carpet, wallpaper, sofa, bed, and various pieces of furniture. The only thing that remains unchanged is the Tagore's poem above the headboard. After the renovation, the Le Meridien Bangkok added an executive lounge on the top floor - the view and the landscape are great, but I also miss the Bamboo Bar on the fourth floor, which holds countless memories for me. Le Meridien Bangkok holds a special meaning for me - because it was the starting point of my Le Meridien journey, the first Le Meridien hotel I stayed at! The location is superb, right downstairs is the Patpong night market, and there are many restaurants and bars, as well as massage parlors, everything is so convenient! The hotel's newly introduced Japanese Onsen (The Onsen) after the renovation offers guests an immersive 30 square meter pure Japanese private bathing experience - guests can enjoy the mineral-rich hot spring water here, and after soaking, have a SPA - the essential oil massage is so comfortable! A few dozen meters from the Le Meridien Hotel, there is an Izakaya called Shakariki 432 - Branch Surawong, which is my favorite restaurant in Bangkok. I've been here countless times over ten years! I love going there at one or two in the morning when there are fewer customers - the waiters will quietly grill beef tongue and octopus balls next to the table... The sizzling sound always reminds me of the warm and touching stories in 'Midnight Diner'. I used to consider this place my secret base, bringing many friends here to eat, and I've seen it grow from a small two-story facade to the current two adjacent four-story buildings. There are also branches in Chiang Mai and Pattaya. I hope Shakariki 432 keeps going, and my Bangkok nights will always be happy!
