Pay homage to Luang Pho Samrit at Wat Phai Ngern Chotnaram

It was originally called Wat Pai Lom. 🏰Later, the government expropriated the land in Khlong Toei Subdistrict, where Wat Pai Lom is located, to build the Bangkok Port. Wat Pai Ngern therefore demolished the temple and combined it with Wat Pai Lom, changing its name to Wat Pai Ngern in 2482. 🙏Then, the temple invited Luang Pho Samrit, the principal Buddha image, from Wat Chotikaram (Wat Phraya Krai), which had become a deserted temple, and moved the temple to combine it with Wat Pai Ngern, changing its name to Wat Pai Ngern Chotanaram in 2483. 💥In 2557, it was elevated to the status of a third-class royal temple, ordinary type. Inside the temple, there are sacred objects for worship, including: 🙏Luang Pho Samrit, the principal Buddha image made of bronze, enshrined in the chapel. It is an ancient Buddha image from the late Sukhothai period to the Ayutthaya period. It is a Buddha image that was invited from Vientiane during the Thonburi period. 🙏Luang Pho Samrit is related to Luang Pho Thongkham, who is enshrined at Wat Traimit Witthayaram. It is said that they are siblings.
