Pay homage to Luang Pho Phra Phuttha Metta Phawana.

🏡Wat Samakkhi Sutthawas was established in 1897, along with Wat Bang Phlat Nai and Wat Bang Phlat Nok. The name and history of the founder are unknown. Originally named Wat Bang Phra Khru because it was located next to Khlong Bang Phra Khru, this area was a Mon community that migrated from Ayutthaya. In 1962, the name was changed to Wat Samakkhi Sutthawas. The important and interesting features within the temple are as follows: 🏠The Ubosot (ordination hall) is in the Mon style, without any patterns. The base of the hall uses teak wood as a sleeper foundation but was renovated with Thai patterns in 1970. Inside, the principal Buddha image is in the Mara Vichai posture, and there is also Luang Pho Atsajan, a miraculous Buddha image that emerged from the sema (boundary marker) within the temple.
