Visit Wat Intharawihan, a Royal Monastery

Wat Intharawihan, a Royal Monastery, is highly recommended for those who feel unlucky, down on their luck, or sense negativity surrounding them. This temple is home to a sacred holy water well, which is said to have been created during the time of Somdet Toh. While constructing the Buddha statue in the alms-holding posture, disciples from across the country came to request holy water from him. As a result, he established this holy water well. The well houses a wax figure of Somdet Toh seated in prayer at its front, and inside the well, there is holy water from various sources along with sacred talismans that were unearthed from beneath the well and later placed together within it. The temple also features Luang Pho Toh, the Buddha Sihariyamettrai, a massive standing Buddha statue in the alms-holding posture. It stands approximately 32 meters tall and is recognized as the largest standing Buddha statue in this posture in the world. The statue is adorned with genuine gold mosaic tiles and enshrines sacred relics at the top of its head, which were gifted by the Sri Lankan government. Visitors can ascend to pay respects and seek blessings from the heart of Luang Pho Toh for auspiciousness and success in life, particularly in matters of love, compassion, and happiness.
