Bangkok G Restaurant: Comparing Two Branches!

Spent a day in Bangkok and initially planned to visit the Siam Takashimaya branch, but since my hotel was closer to the Edge branch, I decided to head there instead! The dining experience at the two branches was vastly different, so here’s my review to share with everyone! Siam Edge Branch Located in a small shopping mall, this branch has a cozy interior. I arrived at around 10 a.m. and started my meal right away! Every dish I ordered was a hit! The spicy pomelo salad was amazing, featuring dried shrimp and peanuts with a tangy and spicy flavor that was super appetizing. The crab roe was incredibly fragrant! The grilled pork tenderloin with Thai spicy sauce was juicy and tender, not dry at all! A must-try is the mango sticky rice, priced at 155 THB for a small portion, but the sticky rice had a perfect balance of salty and sweet flavors—absolutely delightful! The berry yogurt was rich and flavorful, though the avocado flavor didn’t quite hit the mark. For four dishes and two drinks, including service charges, the total came to just 1,280 THB! Iconsiam Branch This branch is located right in front of the waterfall show, making it perfect for Instagram-worthy photos! However, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The menu included more options like fried fish and salmon, which looked great but tasted average—far from the delicious Thai food I had in Krabi. For four dishes, the total bill came to 1,680 THB, and even a bottle of ice water cost 30 THB! Conclusion: For delicious food, go to the Edge branch; for stunning photos, head to the Iconsiam branch! Make sure to note this down for your next trip to Bangkok!
