Sonchai conveys stories of ethnic identity, ancestral beliefs and the lives of migrant workers in a profound and contemporary way. His past works such as “Mon Ghosts” and “ผีเมือง” (Alien Capital) reflect his efforts to preserve and interpret traditional cultures, as well as questioning the vulnerability of the stateless in big cities.
