Summer fun with kids—Shentangyu Plank Road

Coming to Shentangyu in Huairou during the summer is a great choice. The area is shaded by green trees and there's a stream flowing by, making it a perfect summer retreat. There are two different places nearby, Shentangyu and Shentangyu Plank Road. Shentangyu Plank Road is a scenic route that stretches about 7 kilometers. It was built along with Yanqi Lake Plank Road for the APEC conference. You can walk from the foot of the mountain along the Shentangyu Plank Road, and the end of the plank road is the entrance to the Shentangyu Park. Shentangyu Plank Road was built along Yanqi River, and you can easily find the entrance to the plank road from the highway. The entire river area is dotted with various homestays, hotels, and guesthouses, so you can find a place to stay wherever you like. About 2 kilometers along the plank road, there are two tunnels, one long and one short. It's very cool to walk through in the summer, but if it's the rainy season, the tunnel might be dark due to water accumulation. About 3 kilometers along, there's a section of the plank road that's close to the water and flat, with a small beach, which is perfect for camping. Here, you can set up a tent, chill drinks and fruits in the cool stream, and enjoy a relaxing time with some music. At the end of the Shentangyu Plank Road, there are electric cars. If you don't want to walk back the same way, you can take a sightseeing car back to your accommodation, or even to the starting point. You can spend a day at Shentangyu Plank Road. About an hour's drive from Shentangyu, there's the famous Huanghuacheng Water Great Wall. If you have enough time and energy, you can also visit the Huanghuacheng Water Great Wall. Transportation: It's very convenient to drive there, you can navigate directly to Shentangyu Plank Road. Tickets: Shentangyu Plank Road does not require a ticket, but the Shentangyu Park at the end of the plank road requires a 50 yuan ticket. Tips: Shentangyu Plank Road and Huanghuacheng Water Great Wall are both pet-friendly.
