𝑷𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒎 𝑹𝒖𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒌 🤎 Buriram Province, Thailand 🇹🇭 𝑮𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏𝑵𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝒙 Historical tourism 🍁 Phanom Rung Castle, an ancient stone castle, has been influenced by ancient Khmer art, which is exquisitely carved into hundreds and thousands of stones, creating a grand temple. Located on a volcano that erupted in the past and has been extinct for over a million years (one of the six important volcanoes in Buriram Province), after the Khmer era fell, Phanom Rung Stone Castle was abandoned and rotted for many years until it was later restored, with various parts reassembled and the center of the door aligned with the sunrise. Every 15th day of the 5th lunar month, when the sun rises parallel to the mountaintop, we can watch and experience the first light of dawn phenomenon, seeing the sun in the same line along all 15 doors, which is a miraculous event that only occurs once a year.
