Pay homage at the City Pillar Shrine and the City Pillar Shrine of Buriram.

#ChineseNewYear2023 This Chinese New Year, we invite you to visit Buriram and pay homage to and ask for blessings at the City Pillar Shrine, which houses the gods Cai Xing Ye, Guan Yu, Pun Tao Gong and Boon Tao for Thai-Chinese people to come and pay homage and ask for blessings on the occasion of the Chinese New Year. The shrine is decorated with beautiful lanterns with Chinese blessing signs and a golden rabbit for good luck. Nearby is the Buriram City Pillar Shrine, which is decorated in a stylistic style. The prang has five tiers, each tier decorated with jackfruit leaves and deities of the directions to protect and guard different directions. The Phra Ruang That enshrines the City Pillar Buddha, which has four corners recessed, symbolizing the spread of stability in all four directions. The spire of the City Pillar Shrine is decorated with gold-plated stained glass lotus flowers to bring light into the city pillar. Inside the shrine, there is a City Pillar pillar in the center of the prang, along with the sacred object, Phra Suea Mueang.
