Located on the top of an extinct volcano Phanomrung Stone Castle is a Brahmin temple of the Shaivite sect Which worships Shiva as the highest god. Therefore, Khao Phanomrung is like Mount Kailash, the residence of Shiva. The highlight is on April 2-4 and September 8-10 of every year when the sun rises, and on March 5-7 and October 5-7 of every year, the sun sets. Shine through the 15 doorways as well.
