If you have a few days off, I'd like you to try Chanthaburi. It's a 2.30-hour drive or a van ride. It's a city that combines nature and the old city. Places to visit include the Catholic Church, Wat Pak Nam, the reservoir, and the Chanthaburi riverside community. Chanthaburi-style food is also very delicious: pork with star gooseberry, boiled with bay leaves, and crab egg chili paste. Places to visit, accommodations, and food are very cheap.
