It has an interesting history as follows: * Establishment: * This temple was founded in 1939 by Phra Khru Phithak Sangkha Karn, who led the villagers to build the temple. * The land used to build the temple was donated by Mr. Metha Nantana and Mr. Saen Chanthachaiya. * Temple Name: * Originally, this temple was named "Wat Pa Siripithak Aranyawas". * Later, in 1957, Phra Phimontham changed the temple's name to "Wat Santivanaram", which means a peaceful place suitable for Vipassana meditation practice. * Characteristics and Atmosphere: * Wat Santivanaram is a temple with a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for meditation practice. * Inside the temple, there is a mondop enshrining a replica of the Buddha's footprint. * Around the ordination hall, there are many golden Buddha statues beautifully arranged. * Receiving the Royal Kathina: * Wat Santivanaram received the Royal Kathina on March 26, 1970. * The temple's Kathina area is 40 meters wide and 80 meters long.
