Wat Inthakhil Sadue Muang, pay homage to Luang Pho Khao

Wat Inthakhin Sadue Mueang is an old and very important temple for Chiang Mai people. This temple was originally the royal palace, which was the place of worship for the king and the locals at that time. Wat Inthakhin Sadue Mueang was originally an abandoned temple and used to be the place of worship for the Inthakhin pillar, the main pillar of Chiang Mai province. The word Inthakhin means the dam pillar or the pillar behind the city. As for the word Sadue Mueang, since the temple is located in the heart of Chiang Mai city, the locals call it Wat Sadue Mueang, so it is called Wat Inthakhin Sadue Mueang. Inside the temple, there is a Buddha statue, Luang Pho Khao, which is a Lanna-style Buddha statue, enshrined in a Lanna-style chapel built entirely of wood. If anyone comes to pay homage to Luang Pho Khao, they will be successful and have all their wishes come true. Behind the chapel is a bell-shaped pagoda with a square base. The upper part is a large, tall, round base supporting the bell. Next to it is a throne and an umbrella. Walk a little further and you will find the main pillar of the city for worship and asking for blessings. In front of the chapel, there is Luang Phi Ngern for worship and asking for blessings.
