Suan Dok Temple, or its former name, Buppharam Temple, during the reign of King Kuena

#VisitChiangMai Wat Suan Dok, formerly Wat Buppharam, is a third-class royal temple, located on Suthep Road, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province. It is an ancient temple with historical significance since the reign of King Kuena (1914). Location: 139 Suthep Road, Suthep Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province Opening and closing hours: Generally open daily from 06:00 - 18:00 (some sources state until 21:00 for some). Entrance fee: Free for Thais, 50-100 baht for foreigners (please check the current information). The large Sri Lankan-style Chedi Luang, 48 meters high, contains the relics of the Lord Buddha. Another highlight is the group of small white chedis, which enshrine the ashes of the northern princes of the Na Chiang Mai royal family, which are beautiful and unique. Inside the royal chapel is the Phra Chao Kao Tue, a bronze Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude in the Chiang Saen art style, which is extremely beautiful.
