✨ Review of Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan, Chiang Mai ✨ ⸻ 🏛 History & Importance • Built in 1888 (1345 AD) by Phraya Phayu of the Mangrai Dynasty to house the remains of his father and was later elevated to the status of a “First-class Royal Monastery” in 1940  • It is home to Phra Buddha Sihing or “Phra Singh”, the Buddha image of Chiang Mai.
