Gaeunsan in Jecheon

#summervacay Headed out to Gaeunsan in Jecheon, Chungbuk, and it was such a chill way to spend the morning. This one’s not a beast of a mountain, so don’t worry, your legs won’t hate you later. The trail starts off nice and easy, winding through peaceful woods with that clean mountain air and zero city noise. Just birds, trees, and your footsteps. The climb picks up a bit as you go, but it’s all super doable. A few rocky patches here and there keep it interesting, and before you know it, you’re at the top. The summit has this super open view of the surrounding countryside, nothing too dramatic, but definitely beautiful in that quiet, simple way. What I loved most? Barely any crowds. Felt like I had the whole mountain to myself. It’s the perfect spot if you want a quick escape into nature without needing a full-day commitment. Pack some water, take your time, and let Gaeunsan reset your vibe.
