Womaya Mosque

🌟The Great Mosque of Damascus, located in the center of the old city of Damascus, capital of the Syrian Arab Republic, surrounded by a moat, was built during the Umayyad period in 705 AD. It is an ancient mosque that is completely open to the public. It has three beautiful minarets, the Bride's Tower on the north wall was built in the 8th century, the Al-Sa'a Tower on the south wall was built in the 11th century, and the First Tower on the west wall was built in the 15th century. 🌟The worship hall to the south of the temple is built with huge stones. The front of the main hall is a triumphal arch dome gate, with crown-shaped column tops on both sides, and the column heads are plated with sparkling gold foil. The huge colorful murals on the archway walls are inlaid with gold sandstone and shells, depicting the magnificent scene of Damascus in the era of the Umayyad dynasty. 🌟The walls, beams, and podium in the palace are all inlaid with marble, tiles, and stained glass, with exquisite carved patterns. Four semicircular recesses are inlaid with gold and precious stones, majestic and magnificent, and splendid. In the middle of the courtyard, there is also a marble pool built in 976 for bathing.
