Cross the bridge, and the Old Town is right there. Transportation is super convenient, and most attractions are within walking distance, making it ideal for independent travel or as a base before joining a Highland tour. 🏙️ The location of this hotel is truly unbeatable! Arriving by train in Edinburgh, you'll see the hotel right as you step off. It's also incredibly convenient for walking to Calton Hill, perfect for an early morning hike to watch the sunrise. The moment I entered the hotel, I was captivated by its simple, modern design and stylish lobby decor. The receptionist was incredibly welcoming during check-in, and everything was handled smoothly. 🛌 Although the rooms aren't large, they are well-appointed and very clean. The bed is super comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a tiring day. The bathroom's cleanliness is impressive, and there's plenty of hot water. Double-glazed windows effectively block out noise, providing a peaceful night even in the bustling city center. Tea, coffee, and a decent hairdryer are provided in the room – attention to detail is top-notch. 🌆 The area around the motel is also fantastic! The train station is just a few minutes' walk away, making it easy to get anywhere. Breakfast is a typical European style; while the selection isn't extensive, the quality is excellent, and the service from the kilt-wearing gentlemen is a unique touch. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping hotspots nearby. Quinn's Cafe and Mr Wood Fire are highly recommended. 🗺️ For those who love stunning views, don't miss Calton Hill or a walk along the Royal Mile. You can also walk to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and soak in the historical atmosphere of the ancient palace. Whether you're a history buff or a scenery enthusiast, you're sure to be impressed.
