It was a trip to Edinburgh, United Kingdom 🇬🇧 Edinburgh is a city brimming with history, stunning architecture, and beautiful landscapes, making it an excellent destination for photography 📸 We began our Edinburgh journey with a visit to Edinburgh Castle 🏰 perched high on Castle Rock. Arriving early in the morning ☀️ before the crowds arrived, we were treated to breathtaking views over the city, with soft light ✨ illuminating the castle’s stone walls. The views from the castle are unbeatable 🙌 📍Castlehill, Edinburgh EH1 2NG, UK We strolled down the Royal Mile, Edinburgh’s iconic street that connects the castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and charming shops make it a perfect spot for photography 📸 We spent time wandering through hidden closes (narrow alleys) and capturing the unique architecture. In the afternoon light ✨ the medieval charm of the Royal Mile really stood out, and we were able to snap some wonderful photos 📸 of Edinburgh’s vibrant heart. 📍The Royal Mile, Edinburgh, UK We also woke up early to catch the sunrise from Calton Hill ⛰️ This spot offers one of the best panoramic views of the city, with iconic landmarks like the National Monument and the Old Town below. The early morning light ✨ cast a beautiful glow over the city and the surrounding hills ⛰️ creating the perfect setting for stunning wide-angle shots 📸 📍Calton Hill, Edinburgh EH7 5AA, UK We visited the Palace of Holyrood house, the official residence of the British monarch. The grand palace, surrounded by beautiful gardens 🌺 provided a tranquil escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. We wandered through the gardens and took photos 📸 of the impressive architecture against the backdrop of Arthur’s Seat, the dormant volcano that rises above the city. This is a fantastic spot for capturing the blend of nature and history 🙌 📍Canongate, Edinburgh EH8 8DX, UK We also hike up Arthur’s Seat for a truly breathtaking view of the entire city. The early morning ✨ hike was a bit of a challenge, but the reward was worth it. From the summit, we could see all of Edinburgh, from the Old Town to the modern developments.
