Short Climb, Palbongsan Packs a Punch

#summervacay Hiked up Palbongsan, and this little mountain seriously surprised me! It’s not super tall or difficult, but the views from the top are next level. The trail is short and sweet, with a mix of stairs, dirt paths, and some rocky bits to keep things fun. You’ll pass through a quiet forest before things open up to reveal awesome panoramic views of the Hongcheon area. The name "Palbongsan" means “eight peaks,” and yeah, the ridgeline has this cool, jagged look that makes you feel like you’re on an epic adventure, even if it’s just a half-day hike. It’s great for a quick nature escape without the full-on mountain mission. There’s a nice breeze up top and space to chill, snack, or just zone out and enjoy the scenery. Perfect for beginners, families, or anyone looking for big rewards with minimal effort. Palbongsan may be small, but it totally delivers!
