| Encounter the thousand-year-old ancient charm and enjoy the beauty. 🎈Wuxian Ancient Temple is located at No. 233 Huifu West Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. Built in the tenth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1377), it is a temple dedicated to the five immortals. On the large plaque above the door are four large characters "Wuxian Ancient Temple" written by Ruilin, the Governor-General of Guangdong and Guangxi in the Qing Dynasty. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Wuxian Temple was quite grand and magnificent, with more than a dozen halls. Originally there were screen walls, archways, mountain gates, central halls, and rear halls, as well as East and West Halls, Sanyuan Hall, corridors, etc. on both sides. But now the screen wall, archway, central hall, Sanyuan Hall and corridors have disappeared, and only some old buildings such as the ceremonial gate, rear hall, east hall, west hall and "the first building in Lingnan" are available for tourists to visit. The rear hall is 12.4 meters wide, 10 meters deep and 8 meters high. It has a double-eaved hip roof with green glazed tiles, and the ridge is decorated with glazed dragon patterns and glazed turtle beads. The inner groove has eight rafters, with six layers of three-copy brackets, and the outer eaves have two-jump arches to support the cantilevered eaves beams, spindle-shaped columns, raised and side feet, flat beams, and four-rafter pine to create a moon beam. The hump, fork hands, and support feet are simple in style, retaining the architectural techniques of the early Ming Dynasty. At the bottom of the ridge are the words "Built on the 21st day of the 11th month of the Dingyou year in Longji, the 16th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty, on the auspicious day of Bingshen." The building's facade has moderate proportions, retaining the early Ming Dynasty architectural style while also having local characteristics.
