Known as the "Notre Dame of the Far East," Sacred Heart Cathedral

"Sacred Heart Cathedral," or simply Sacred Heart Cathedral, is located at 56 Yide Road, Guangzhou. Founded in 1863 and completed in 1888, it serves as the main cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of Guangzhou. The cathedral is a typical Gothic structure, standing 58.5 meters tall. Its facade features a three-section layout: a rugged colonnade at the base, a large rose window in the middle, and spires at the top. The interior is exquisitely decorated, with carvings and stained-glass windows as its architectural treasures. Inside, there are also several religious exhibition areas showcasing Christian culture and history, where you can learn about Christian doctrines, rituals, and history.
