Soft, Fluffy Pastries and Classic Chinese Snacks at Beis Pastry JB

#favouriteitinerary Beis Pastry at Jalan Dhoby is a great spot for anyone who loves Chinese-style pastries. They offer a variety of handcrafted treats, from tarts and puffs to traditional snacks, all made fresh daily. The shop has a simple, welcoming vibe, and knowing they’re Muslim-friendly makes it even better since more people can enjoy their pastries. We had to try their Taro Xiao Bei, and it quickly became our favorite. The bun was soft and pillowy, with a delicate chew that made each bite even more satisfying. Inside, the taro filling was smooth, fragrant, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. It had that natural taro taste without being overly rich, making it a comforting and delicious treat. Their taro egg tart was another standout. The creamy egg custard had a layer of sweet taro beneath it, adding an extra depth of flavor to the buttery crust. We also loved the soya milk egg tart, which had a silky, lightly sweet soy-based custard that felt a little lighter but just as indulgent. Beyond their tarts and buns, Beis Pastry has an impressive selection of Chinese-style pastries and snacks. Their puffs come with different fillings, and they also have an assortment of classic pastries like red bean and black sesame-filled buns. Everything is made with care, and you can really taste the difference in the quality of ingredients. Whether it’s for a quick snack or a box of pastries to bring home, Beis Pastry is a great place to satisfy any craving for soft, pillowy treats with rich, comforting flavors. #localfood #myitinerary #thingstodo #afternoonteatime
